Results are in!
I tried the Raw with a piece of paper for 24hrs and this is what it looks like.....a few little pieces but the rest is just a mush looking stuff. I just put some sprinkles in the water but best reaction I've seen so far from Hygrozyme or Humboldts secret even at strong mix it never got like this....hell it hardly broke down at all before.View attachment 132832I swirled it hereView attachment 132833View attachment 132834and here it's settled...I was impressed.

It didn't seem to want to dissolve at first....I just left it and it did it's thing. It was weird because I checked it this morning and could still see the paper and it held shape when swirled just like all the others but boy them enzymes woke up today lol.
Fresh mix.....I just mixed 1/2 strength and put in my res so 4 tsp in a gallon and it kind of jelled in a pile for a second and then just made the water cloudy and the res foamed up a little after putting it in. Seems fine 10mins later....So to answer your question it seems to be slow to dissolve but does eventually by itself.

this is how mine was too.. i saw the paper still looked intact and then i gave it a swirl and was like woh, okay then!! haha

Have you heard that the introduction of enzymes will allow for lower ec??.......I've dropped mine .4 to see what happens but they're in early flower so using less now anyhow. I have noticed the water in the res is clearer....keep in mind my res hasn't been emptied and cleaned in close to 2 yrs now so improvement is pretty easy to see...

.4!? My water in the mother/cloner setup is pretty much that or higher sometimes.

Less nutes will help the pocketbook for sure.

Clean water is a thing of beauty.
I have a couple years of scale built up around my buckets and plantsites, but the lines and everything inside gets bleached at the start of every run. Whether or not the dirty-ish lines hurt anything thing, I hate to see it. I couldn't care less about some scale buildup though. That's like the seasoning inside my coffee cup that never gets washed. Plus it kinda shows the mileage

Me too. Thanks again @moe.red. He gave me a killer deal on 'em. Pretty much sold me his whole grow setup for $1000. Cost me another thousand on the Uhaul and fuel, but I still came out way ahead.

Fuggin' Truckin'
16 days in and they've gone from little 6" clones to 39" monsters. 4" of gains in the last 24 hours alone. They're glorious.

They've done a really good job of growing up and and not so much out. Not too much mingling going on in there. I'm giving the credit to the even coverage of the lights. Love 'em so far.

Exhaust fan has been fighting for it's life to keep the humidity below 65%. They'll get thinned out whenever they decide to stop stretching. That'll help a lot. They've gotta be running out of gas here pretty soon. Time will tell...

One thing's for certain...This here just never gets old

No vertical growth was logged today so they go thinned out. As usual, hacked them to pieces.

The lights went out on me as I was finishing the last plant so my last 10 minutes was spent trimming by the light of the next room over. Hopefully it ain't too butchered

So far it's been mostly on autopilot. Not running a heater or humidifier. Strictly exhaust fan and lights with some circ fans blowing around.

I did run out of my bloom nutes mid rez change so there was a couple days where they were feeding off of a fucked up ratio. Got that settled though.

Some netting is definitely in order for the next run. I like the free growing method more than I thought I would, but them colas be getting heavy. Maybe this will be the run that finally teaches me a lesson.

I take enough to make most folks uncomfortable but they always seem to bounce back. I don't quite give them the schwazze, but I'll take an absurd amount of fan leaves, usually only leaving the newly emerged and yet to grow.

I'm sure I'll run into a strain that doesn't handle it as well one of these days. Until then... I'll continue dishing out the abuse.

I've got them yo-yo'd up, but I'm at work now, still sticky and stinky from the mishap. Whoops.

Getting so damn fat
They've been drinking 5 gallons a day so more than a gallon apiece. They're ready for me to turn it down a bit, so in a couple days I'll give them a new mix. Heavier on the PK than the Bloom nutes and lighter in general. I'll probably start lowering rhe light intensity as well and maybe break out a second dehuey. Tipe to ripen up I believe as we head into week 7 soon.

I don't think I need anything more than some general support. I'm thinking a plain ol' 4x8 trellis that spans the tent. One lower to direct the stalks and another up high for fat nugget support.

When I first started out, I was sold on a scrog net, but I was terrified of root rot, so I ran 1 big plant a couple times. I ditched the scrog method when I went to 4 plant-sites because I assumed 1 plant would inevitably get root rot and need to be removed. Never had rot but I like the style I've grown into. I'm sold on the BIG FAT NUGGETS but they've proven time and time again to be too heavy to support themselves.

Realistically, I think it's the Sapphire side of things. These and my last run swelled up something fierce. Last run was Indigo Sapphire and those nugs were fat too. Nearly broke 2lbs with that run.

Lights at 50% and on for 10 hours.
Top-off ppm is at 200, mostly epsom.
Plants sitting around 650 ppm.
Still drinking 5-6 gallons per day.

Super sweet, lemony nose on these. It's very similar to some Island Sweet Skunk I've had in the past, which is one of my favorite strains. Like a creamy citrus.

Yields appear to be through the roof, looking like more than 2 pounds in there. Harvest in a week or 2, most likely.

Yessir. That's also a big part of why I strip the shit out of my plants when I flip 'em. Helps keep it all pretty open and airy when things start to fatten up.

Forgot to mention above.. we're halfway through week 7. They should stop swelling and should start ripening. Hopefully the light schedule/intensity will help usher them that direction. I'm gonna let them drink themselves down closer to 1ec before I give them nothing but Fade and some epsom. Sitting at 1.42 right now.

Also added a second dehuey. The added heat is no issue at all. Lowering the light intensity has the tent sitting at 75 degrees. Nights get down closer to 70. I'll just let both work continuously to keep as low as possible. It probably won't get below 50% in the tent, but we'll see.

I didn't realize we're still so early in this run with these things being so FAT. I just assumed we were creeping up on week 10. An earlier finish would be another reason to keep these genetics hanging out in the basement for a while.
