When I use Google Translate and type in "Designed in California Made in China" the translation I get back reads "Buyer Beware"

I have it working as it should again but it is very picky about the angle of the fan head and where the clamp is positioned. Gravity pretty much kicks it's gears' ass. It needs more torque in the motor and steel gears. More of that and less fancy packaging.

To their credit I'm using their fans outside the lines of their recs and known limits. I'm not gonna set my fans on 18/6 timers like they say to do to "save" the oscillator gears and I'm gonna mount them upside down and sideways looking for the elusive orbital air flow I've always been wanting.

I got to playing with it and found a very tight range of angles that will get it to work vertical. But it didn't want to stay in that position so I drilled a set screw thru the clamp and into the pole to lock that in. Next I played with the angle of the head to the clamp and tightened that to the point I was about to break it. It's locked in and doing what I want it to do so now it's just a matter of how long will the gears and motor last.
So far from what I see it could use upgrades to metal fan blades, metal gears, more torque in the motor, stiffer clamp and lock down tight clamp to pole insert better than what it has now.

I am getting good results from the second UIS plug I'm using though. I kept it simple to run my light cooling fan at certain temps and it's doing well. For now.

I'll also say the orbital air flow is the best I've ever had. I hope it lasts but this is the closest to how air moves outdoors I've ever seen in this room.

Yep part 2 is where they electrocute the shark and part 3 is pretty much a commercial for Sea World but with a mama shark twist. Part 4 is one to avoid.

I got another little fridge for curing and have been keeping my can of GW in there. Seems to still be potent keeping cool like that so I bet a big jug of it will last as long as it's kept well.

I also really like what I see in Neptune's Tomato & Veg brew.
2-4-2 NPK, loaded with all the ocean grown goodies plus molasses and yucca extract.
So yeah I'm going all liquid this grow..T&V base line, liquid crab and lobster is the cal-mag health booster, and the squid is the supplemental happy plant mojo booster.
Same recipe for hydro but swap the T&V for 'Nova Bloom.

Yeah the light being so big is opening up some ideas. After P421 is done in the DWC I wanna make that a cucumber tower. I also wanna add a lettuce garden and maybe even a potato bag. All in the middle of the room and not really in the grow space since there's so much light to spare now.

Man IDK if that jumbotron is the biggest in the world anymore but it is huge!!!
And how about Kyle showing up on Race Hub this week??!! I was shocked to see him in studio! I figured that guy would be out racing something...airplanes, raskal scooters, pogo sticks...Dude is always racing something!!!

and ya know i have an orbital fan out in my garage that i use to move the heat from my woodstove around in the winter... you have me wanting to take it down and put it in the grow room!!! hahaha same deal though, it's been around for years and i can't find another one anywhere just like it.

love seeing the earthbox!!! i really missed not having a veggie garden this summer and never used mine. it's on next year though!!!

We have the same size bottle of King Crab. I never know about the liquid stuff. I've always got great results with the powder while liquid was always hit or miss but I'll give it a shot and see what up with it. Prolly gonna use some today when I upcan.

I'm telling ya man..orbital air flow is where it's at!!! Regular fan air is just so steady eddie. I like that breeze with a gusty burst to almost shake the plant around. That's the good stuff with top to bottom circulation. Nice and choppy but not abusive. Is it better than regular fan flow? IDK but I do know it's really hard to get molds with it and iut strengthens up the ladies for sure!

I might get another earthbox in there for the TXB seedlings. Haven't decided yet.

Yesterday I took a drive out to the country to visit my old pal's hydroshop. He moved it from the city about 30 miles down the road to the sticks. Funny thing now is he's trying to stock CoM stuff hahaha! Growers know bro! Growers just know and we don't have to say a word.
Anyways he gave me a great deal on some new plastics. Got a 4x4 tray and a 2x4 tray so no little saucers after all now. The 4x4 has a manufacturing defect...For some reason the side walls are thinner than normal so he got Hydrofarm to discount them and then he passed the discount onto me. Got a $100 tray for only $40! The smaller 2x4 tray cost me almost $90 but it's a thicker baddass tray made here in Texas by a company that's known more for livestock troughs and feeders but branching out into gardening with the popularity of aquaponics down here.

I had to order a new UV purifier for my waterboy yesterday and it's already here. Started tio get algae in the barrel so that was my first clue the UV was dead. It took a crap and got a leak. Lucky I didn't get electrocuted. I think it just shorted and died with the leak. So I got a totally different design. Paid $50 for it but it's submersible and highly rated. The old $25 deal worked but I knda knew it would die just by how it was made.

Yeah this is the last tilt in Waco. I'm so happy about that too. I've been on a 22 year boycott of everything Waco and Baylor. Yeah you know that Fixer Upper couple on TV? Fuck them I hate them too!
This all started a long time ago going to a game at their old stadium. It was a dump. Waco was dump. The people probably work at the dump. There's two types from what I know...orbital as in 360* oscillation and up/down + left/right oscillation.

The prior is usually too big and strong for grow room applications and the latter for grow rooms are junk. They've been rebranded after bad reviews but they're still the same junk.
Personally I think the better way to get it is with two oscillators working in tandem rather than just one fan. It's a heavy workload for any fan to pull it off so it will kill a fan. But with two at least if one dies there's still air flow

i without a doubt have a whole bunch of bj mcleods and Jj yeley's... even a todd gilliland!!! it's pathetic, part of me wants to start over again but the other part of me needs to figure it out and fix it.

i got the king crab and the orca... it turns out i should have done my homework first because the orca isn't the best for me.

my UV on my pond did the same thing one year, leaked right over the bulb connections and got on the inside tube...i was also glad it didn't shock me or my fish!!! i was glad to see when i bought cousin eddie it had the exact same UV bulb and glass tube as my old filter and i have replacements of that on hand so they won't go to waste!! i run a 36W bulb in that.

and sweet pick up on the trays!!! you'll have all kinds of options on configurations and maybe even have extra for outside if ya need em!!!

I flipped them last night...2 days later than I wanted because I'm just so backed up on everything. Upcanned 3 late Sunday night and the other 3 Monday night. But the deed is done now.
Yeah those small seedlings are TXB. I finally get a chance to see what happens when I flower out a seedling!
There's a few McCleods in the micro breedery...one seedling and a clone or two are on the wonky side of life but there's others to work with so no biggie.
Also have a weirdy mutant Critterz and yeah it's a critter all right but she's hanging in there. But everything else looks solid now.

I didn't get to take pics of the root balls but yeah the dunk flush helped a ton to correct whatever the issue was. The soil didn't even look like soil. Looked like a giant peat pod. It was weird.
That fix with Grow Big and setting pH goes back to my early days of growing pot. I'd get silly dumping all sorts of stuff on my plants and more often than not I'd fuck them up. So then I'd dial back, calm down on my wild ideas, and go with the fundamentals. That has always worked for me. I hate that it's not an organic fix but when I find the issue to be in the soil and IDK what it is exactly, pH 6.5 w/ 1/4 strength Grow Big in a 3 day flush does the trick. Works even better with the airpots too because you get that rapid exchange with no worries of drowning them.

I used the King Crab at upcan and IDK if it's good or not yet but yeah I doubt it will take GW off my shelf after seeing those videos. GW just has the whole buffett while the other forget the apps or dessert.

This is all in one and attaches to the wall near the bottom.

Mine is small and mostly for 40-80 gallon aquariums but works perfect in the barrel too. Came with a spare bulb as well. It's a 9 watt lamp and 211 GPH on the pump

But this is the the FAFO grow for a couple reasons...The experiments and the attitude I have with those experiments and growing in general.
I took it from work where this season there's a John Wick theme/mentality to it this year. There's a hard nastiness to all of us and this thing where we get poked, those doing the poking are fucking around and about to find out the consequences.
See, Baylor FAFO'ed and the result was a 38-6 blood bath they couldn't escape.
It's drilled in my head too because when we do something awesome and perform our job at a high level, the head man gives out a FAFO sticker for that work. I've already been handed four of those stickers this year.
So that's the approach with this grow...light don't wanna play right...FAFO....Soils wanna go bad...FAFO...Cloner don't wanna root...FAFO...Nothing gets off ez around here and expectations are set very high. Don't meet them?...FAFO

Yeah the Earthbox is loaded with Stonington. Before my bulk order I was sitting on two bags of Stonington and 8 bags of Lush. So the earthbox and one plant is in Stonington and everything else in Lush.

I'd have to double check but I think most plants are around 8-9 weeks old. Clones are about 15 days from when they were cut until now and the seedlings I think are midway between 2 and 3 weeks old. Everything is being flipped at the same time regardless of age or size though.

I haven't used the Harbor Blend yet but it's really heavy compared to all other bags I have. IDK if it will be a good starting and veg soil yet but with the weight I bet it will be a great hot weather soil.

Man that Bandit tray might be close to 20 years old brother! I bought it years ago from the used section at the hydroshop. I've used it for all sorts of stuff and when I started showing my grows online I fancied it up and personalized it with the Bandit sticker.
I pulled it from my stash of plastics in the shed and figured I could use it since I'm not using the xtra large tray and opting for smaller trays. It's old school General Hydroponics. Even has a sticker of their old logo on the other side. I think it may have been part of a drip system for rockwool slab growing.
One of those things that I never throw away because it may be 10 years from the last time I used it but plastics like that are hard to come by so I keep 'em stashed in the shed! I did end up tossing a few trays that had gone brittle and cracked while in storage though. Lost a decent 3x3 due to a large crack so that's what sent me shopping for new plastics.

Along with that tray there's some real old stuff brought back to life in the room for this grow. Pretty much everything I know how to do well is all being done together at this one time. Like 10-15 years of grow trials all condensed into one grow op!

man 8-9 weeks always seems to be your timing in veg... 421 probably could have flipped on week 5.

and that is awesome you're using the stonington, steamroller's plants look great and he hasn't fed them much at all in that stuff. i'm tempted to start my seedlings in it and just grow all the way through with it.

And just a week or two ago I was ready to toss this whole lot other than the DWC!
I flipped them last night...2 days later than I wanted because I'm just so backed up on everything. Upcanned 3 late Sunday night and the other 3 Monday night. But the deed is done now.
Yeah those small seedlings are TXB. I finally get a chance to see what happens when I flower out a seedling!
There's a few McCleods in the micro breedery...one seedling and a clone or two are on the wonky side of life but there's others to work with so no biggie.
Also have a weirdy mutant Critterz and yeah it's a critter all right but she's hanging in there. But everything else looks solid now.

I didn't get to take pics of the root balls but yeah the dunk flush helped a ton to correct whatever the issue was. The soil didn't even look like soil. Looked like a giant peat pod. It was weird.
That fix with Grow Big and setting pH goes back to my early days of growing pot. I'd get silly dumping all sorts of stuff on my plants and more often than not I'd fuck them up. So then I'd dial back, calm down on my wild ideas, and go with the fundamentals. That has always worked for me. I hate that it's not an organic fix but when I find the issue to be in the soil and IDK what it is exactly, pH 6.5 w/ 1/4 strength Grow Big in a 3 day flush does the trick. Works even better with the airpots too because you get that rapid exchange with no worries of drowning them.

I used the King Crab at upcan and IDK if it's good or not yet but yeah I doubt it will take GW off my shelf after seeing those videos. GW just has the whole buffett while the other forget the apps or dessert.

The new UV is all kinds of baddass. Totally submersible was big for me. I had that other one in the barrel and used old RO filter parts to hang it in there and then had to pump water up into it.
This is all in one and attaches to the wall near the bottom.
Not only does it purify but it also stirs the tank as it shoots a stream of water from the top. And with the air hose added, it also oxygenates with big bubbles and adds a wall of micro bubbles in the stream.
Mine is small and mostly for 40-80 gallon aquariums but works perfect in the barrel too. Came with a spare bulb as well. It's a 9 watt lamp and 211 GPH on the pump

I actually have the dongle nozzle KB to thank for that torch. Sometimes these car sponsors get me curious so I have to look up what they are. KB had a car sponsored by Grill Blazer this year so I had to see what that was.
It's a big ass grilling torch but sells for like $180. Even with a 15% off coupon it's still over priced but there's plenty of knockoffs that are the same thing for about $50.
So now that I got the torch my next venture might be building a submarine. Kez drives that Buildsubs.com car and now I wanna build a sub.

Speaking of KB...Man I got some really bad news. My wife is becoming a fan of his.
