Stoney's Luv Shack

i used to belong to one of those drinking clubs (the fraternal order of the eagles (FOE)) and they would have nascar watches and every time there was a cation it was 25 cent shots... a night at bristol was a good night!!!!! hahaha
Well fk, gotta start dinner, I'll have to catch pices of the rest.

Looking good bud! 👍

As you noted in my thread we’re on the same timeline. Unfortunately we aren’t as lush as yours. 😳

Got about a week of stretch left I think. We’ve had two warm days in a row so I’m hoping the magic starts now. 🤣

you're right man i'm just now seeing some slowing the past couple days, it's about time for me to take them all out and rearrange them all for the final time and set the net on. i was looking last night and i might have to remove my shelf brackets to get the net on perfect, something i need to look at. i also need to keep reminding me myself to check my rear vent, i was messing with it and might have accidentally moved it and i need to make sure there are no light leaks coming from the other cabinet. the only way i can check is empty it and go inside and close the doors.

gonna mix up some more tea this weekend again.. i just hope they're ready for some water. these are all very slow drinkers except the tall sour tangie she is drinking four to five times the amount and every few days. the others go like week before needing water. this is another reason i want to take them all out and get hands on each one fell the weight. i'll keep that tangie up front just to make it easy to water..

Looking very nice!! Why can't I take pics like that 😪 lol Everytime I see this thread, my brain plays that song by the b-52's, damn you! lol

Thanks SkinnyP!! i think the black walls make the photos better than what they are. i just use an old nikon point and shoot.

thats the threads theme song right there!!!! ahhhh yeah!!!

took all the plants out and fixed my light leaks.. had two of em, pretty bad too, i could have written a letter home from camp by how bright it was.. hope i didn't cause any problems. it's fixed now.

rearranged them all by size, lucked out and all the strains are next to each other... got the net on and we're ready for the finish. i pulled a few leaves off not many, maybe two dozen at most. mostly in the middle under squares that didn't have a branch sticking through. kinked a few of the sour tangie stalks, those might be the only ones that require any attention growing forward!!

cool man, thanks!!! i'm getting close to level up.. maybe next week...

ya gotta love nascar's stoner math.. got 3210, need 290 yet, but level up is only 3000.. hahaha

missed a powerball the other week, missed my ten points.

Have you thought about crop steering methods at all, lol? Nows the time to try a little Generative crop steering techniques, nothing too crazy, its mainly water volume and e.c variables at certain times, besides the environment, I think. Lol.

25 days in

Nice

I suspect, and hope those fuckers mass up for ya.

Swell them bitches.

me too man!! hopin they get swole!!!!! last time i SOG'd i ended up with a pound, hoping to beat that number this time.

not too much i haven't.. i mean i guess i do a little in some sorts.. my nute changes, my light spectrums, a little dryer in the rh.

sometimes it tough for me to manage dry backs.. they all use a different amount and i can't get in there to lift them at this point so i kind of just go with the average.. when most of them need water they all get it.

i want to start messing with these sensors and see how reliable they are...

WC% sensors?

or some kind of media sensor based off the stake like look?

yep, a soil moisture sensor. i believe it's a on or off signal. but it also has an analog so maybe it can report a variable resistance.. i haven't messed with it at all but i plan to soon.

i also want to pick up this model to compare the two..
61fr4cgw7hL._AC_SL1000_.jpg

that one also as a digital and analog.

it would be cool just to start with a monitor till i trusted it.. maybe a multi color led for each plant, green is get ready to water in a couple days - yellow is if ya wanna make tea now's the time - and red is for dude what are doing water your freakin plants!! haha

if/when i trusted it i would connect auto watering to each plant.

get ec soil sensors and do nute dosing with it too.. with all that you wouldn't even need a human to grow.

Well...I recently learned about "leaf sensors", they measure the turgor pressure supposedly, and can "accurately"(?) tell when a plant needs watering again, I bet you could go down that rabbit hole and design that too, looked fairly simple, nearly 3D printed device that clips on to the leafs, I can post a link if you want, more evolved than me atm

Sorry, I don't exactly understand the digital and analog difference in this scenario.

If you could give a brief summary/explanation I could make sense of it.

I'm thirsty for knowledge, the power of humans sharing factual information, and working things out.

Thanks.

oh that sounds cool as hell... yeah man, show me!!!

Sorry I don't exactly understand the digital and analog difference in this scenario.

so the digital would either be an off or on option, like all or nothing. where as analog could give a variable output from say 1 to 10 and anywhere in between.

the "megas" can read up to 16 analog inputs. that just happens to be the same number of plants i grow!!!! ;toke

so these sensors actually measure the thickness of the leaf to determine moisture... brilliant!!!!!!!!!!
