cheers, I know how hard we all have to work for our money, and how many fun things,...and not so fun things...we have to buy. So I try to make sure to be fair. I know I am not amazon fast with shipping, but I try to make up for that with extra bonus stuff, and having great seeds and smokes.

I have no complaints that is for sure.
One thing the 'basic' GPW does not account for is time.
Time vegging and time in flower if one would get carried away with a sativa or cut quick with an auto?
The numbers besides weight mean little to me honestly.
Getting down to the efficiency of electric use is pro or cheap level.
I am neither.
Back to being the Phat Slacker~!
Yah. the most accurate would be kilowatts used in the grow to account for varying veg and flower times. Optimally should include electricity for the grow versus just light. Long sativa would have lower grams per watts used. Fast autos might score the highest.

Seedlings just went in the room.
Had to wet down floor to get humidity up.
First light feed of 3-2-1 minus the 2~! Either got to get a bag or find my old one.
Not sure if I tossed it for soaking up moisture?
Got new 5-12-26 and always have Mg.
Will sort that out tomorrow.
Also will be pulling replacements tomorrow from the VG.
Will report back then with pics~!
Happy turkey day all~!🦃

is that rum runner from gps?

Extra free time update.
Fed the seedlings in the room second dose 3-2-1 and they seem to be doing well.
Full dose as my part B arrived nicely on Sunday.

^^Nice growth in just under 1 week^^

^^Backups looking good^^
Moved the 1 lone Cherry Gar See Ya out into room and fed it also.
It popped with the originals but has been in funk?
Got 3 out of 4 Zamal Dreams up~!
Hoping for #4 but I am not the best so we will see.
They get maybe another week before they move to stronger lights in room.

Used the new spoon to measure my ferts~!

^^ Easily holds 35 grams of part 1 Jacks and is simple to operate and see^^
I only needed 3.6, 2.4 and 1.1 for my little 1 gallon mix.
Easy and accurate~!

Hang in there the weekend is coming~!👊

well it looks like there is no way the marker is rubbing off this time!!!

looking great man!!!

you gonna upcan soon?
Hell yea man~!
They go 1 g this weekend and I may go with 3 g for finish this run.
I have not even dumped the 5 g buckets from last grow, but looking at a couple of them I don't think my roots needed 5g?
I plan on using the blumats and have rings arriving Saturday [ perfect delayed timing] that are made for them.
Nesta posted about them and I could not resist. I think you 3-D guys should look how I think they make rings~! Overflow, not drip....
Trying to maintain full slacker and no stress on this grow I have been attempting better husbandry. No homo~!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::p:oops::rolleyes:

Love the little shake.
This grow is going to be dedicated to the DFG plants.
So we will just say all these Ethos and GPS have a head start.
I think they will need it.
#'s at the end to tell.

Real good lookin' group of youngsters ya got there Steam!
I'm digging that measuring spoon too and checked them out on Amazon. I could use that for my strawberry tower nutes!
You think those are all the same thing just different brands or you think that brand you have is the real deal and the other el cheapos are knock offs?

Thanks man~!
For $9 I would be inclined to try the Amazon.
I never really looked them up before.
Looks the same, the controls are the same.
Amazon said different size spoons included. That might be handy.
I do not think SeaChem makes their own.
The company itself is very small so I suspect they just bought someone else's spoon and had their name put on it?

Moved 3 Zamal Dreams and 1 Rum Runner to room this morning.
Everybody got 3-2-1.
3rd for the older first for newbs.
The 4 new are in straight COM seed starter so after the last grow I think they need help earlier than last time.
Soil and pots in room to warm up also. Everything is in ' cold storage' here this time of year.🥶

Soil mix for first up pot will be even parts of Stonington, Sohum and Ocean Forest I have here.
I never really paid much attention to what I was doing with my first grow.
Having grown outdoors for a long time before coming in I just followed instinct.
Had no help from forums or whatever, besides a couple buddies throwing advice around.
To this day nothing I have grown compares in volume to what I grew then. Most plants were taller than me.
Trying to narrow down the difference and regain lost glory I am using the Ocean Forest as it and Stonington were all I used in first grow.
Do I believe a soil will make a huge difference, no.
But stoners do what stoners do~!
Pics later after up potting.
Happy Saturday all~!

Soil mixed and the original 12 have been up potted.
Funny this morning, when I watered/ fed the Rum Runner turned 1 set of leaves sideways quickly.
Upon re potting she has the most/ largest root growth of all.
I think she will be a heavy drinker? Maybe just overwatered?
The RH keeps swinging as the humidifier runs a lot. I keep finding it empty. It takes 4/5 gallons.
May end up getting a second identical unit to not need daily attention?

I personally seen very little difference in yield from 3 to 5 gallon but I grow small plants by most peoples standards

So my drip rings for the Blumats just arrived.
Not sure how they will work since I ordered 10" rings.
I am sure they will fit 5 g buckets, not so sure on my 3g.
So I went back and searched again and found 5 inch rings.
They might even fit the 1 gallon buckets?
Ordered them but delivery seems slow with these guys.

The 10" say they have 8 strategically placed drip points and the 5" have 4.
I will assume strategically placed means they maffed it out to make them evenly spaced?🤔🙄
Depending on delivery and growth I will probably just wait till they go in 3 before trying. No clue how long that will take.
The carrot and ring would be very crowded in 1 g and even in a 3g I would want carrot side mounted I think.
Placing the carrot on the side of a 1 g would take up room for roots IMO and is not worth doing for such small pots.

lookin sexy right there!!!!

can you get the mats for the smaller ones too? or aren't they needed anymore?

i don't understand this carrot you're talking about, i thought those rings were flat. is there a part that pokes into the soil?

The carrot is the sensor that goes in the soil.

On top of the carrot is where the water is let in or not.

ahh i think i remember you showing those before.. they don't look that big to put in side like you want. i like that idea, those are cool!!

I wonder how the side mounts would work. Will the carrot be able to pull water up to the ring mounted down below. Also I would imagine much dryer conditions.

I really think they will go great in the 3 or 5gs.
I am hoping to get the perfect flow and be able to use through most of veg and flower to maximize growth.
There is a chance I can fert right through them.

I have been thinking I want to feed every time I water, kind of like hydro guys.
Continuous feeding would seem a reasonable approach for soil like hydro done properly?

The carrot only opens or closes a diaphram to allow water through.
The height of the reservoir dictates pressure or flow.
I have placed my entire 32g brute above the top of 5g buckets so gravity makes flow nicely.DSC_0555.JPG
I even ran 2 separate lines to feed each side of the room.
DSC_0588.JPG
^^ Here you can see the height the water comes in at all by gravity.^
Where the carrot is should not matter.

You have worked it out well. Just need to get dry back figured out.

You read my mind~!
So they are 'adjustable' on when and how much they supply.
I just need to dail them in. If I can't feed through them then I will do something else.
I have shut offs on the lines so may just shut them off every 3-4 days and then feed and turn back on?
I am going 3-2-1 so figure I should be able to feed through the line.

Jacks321

What is #Jacks321? Have you read about Jack’s 321 or seen the hashtag on insta?
Jack’s 321 is our tried and true two-part fertilizer program. It consists of Jack’s Nutrients Part A 5-12-26, Jack’s Nutrients Part B 15-0-0 and Epsom Salts. BUT where does that “321” come from, you ask? It’s the shortened amount of each fertilizer in grams per gallon.

To mix up the perfect blend of Jack’s 321 you will need:

3.6 grams Part A (5-12-26)
2.4 grams Part B (15-0-0)
1.1 grams of Epsom salts

This will give you a blend of nutrients for growing almost any controlled environment crop, in any growing system. The order of additions is VERY important. You must add the 5-12-26 first and make sure it is completely dissolved, then add in the Epsom salts making sure it is completely dissolved, then finally the calcium nitrate.

I thought that might be what you where referring to but I have to be honest. I had to ask because if you dig deep enough down the rabbit hole Peters states Jacks 3-2-1 (5-11-26) is for hydroponics.

It works I still use it in Veg and Early flower but there is a lot of N in it. I will say ever time I ever ran it the plants looked great right up to chop. But part of that is because of the N you run start to finish. If I was going to run it again start to finish I would make some modifications.

I am open for suggestions and actually will probably tweak things in flower with my Fox farm trio.
I got so much of that I have to use and kind of like it myself.
Looking back to grow #1 that was my largest I used the Jacks part B as my calcium with no regard to the nitrate~!
I still fertilized like it wasn't even there. I really did not think about it till almost done. 🥴
I am hoping my plants let me really push them if I try to this time.
Last grow I did not feed at all in veg.
These guys have had 3 100% feedings of 321 already.
