Stoney's Luv Shack

Not too shabby of a system. 8awg power wires though? I installed 0awg but have been slacking on doing the big 3 which I should've done from the get go. I also should have installed a cap as well or just another battery or an aftermarket alternator, maybe this spring when the snow is gone. I go through my door 6x6 speakers every 2 yrs, bad hf/lf settings on my deck I'm assuming. I wish I would've went w a bigger amp(sundown ?1500) though as I believe my sub(sundown x2 12") could handle more.... Still rattles the shit out of everything in, on the vehicle. Rms of that one 12" is 1500 and sundown is known for underrating their subs

Going over my invoice it looks like they'll use an 8awg power kit.
For now they'll stick a new pair of component 6.5s in the doors and the tweeters will go in the dash up under the windshield.
Not sure where they'll put the amp. Most likely under the passenger seat. It's a 4 channel and I'm having them do that now so later I can install rear speakers in the cab so I have a full set of 4 plus the sub.

like SkinnyP said i seems a bit thin to power six channels. i assume you're keeping your current amp and adding the new four channel?

but they guarantee the wiring so if it ain't right it's on them.. just seems weird because it's the same amount of work, the price of the extra copper gets passed on to the customer.

And here's the amp. This is the fucker that drove the installation quote thru the roof but fuck it man I wanted to eat the cost now so it's ready for more speakers later this Summer

i like the low ohm stable, that make adding speaker configs in the future a breeze!! amps aren't cheap.. never have been never will.

i went the capacitor method on mine, it's an older vehicle and i don't have led lights and i didn't want any fade. it makes a nice buffer, my batteries seem to last a long time.

my jeep eats up door speakers like crazy!! i don't drive it much, it's my womans car.. i don't know what she does but i seem to replace them every few years.

Larson's running the triple this weekend!!!!!

truck practice starts now... qualifying in an hour and the race is on at 730!!! night racing at bristol BABY!!!!!

go 07!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I'm gonna try an old cap and do the big 3 as well
Lol @ Jeep, yeah that's what I drive, 05 liberty, what a pile haha

man you must be pullin some serious power!! ;rockb

drove a liberty up to maine and back years ago, probably right around that same year too.. it was a company vehicle and that was the only long trip i ever made with it. wasn't a terrible jeep. i have a n antique.. its a 97 grand cherokee.. 318 dodge, it has more chrysler emblems on it than jeep ones so i call it a dodge.. it's actually a great reliable car.. quaddra track so it never slips in the snow, comfortable as can be, fully loaded, other than it being old on paper it's a really nice ride.

.

i think practice was rained out!!! there's some rerun on so it's not looking goof!! C'mon i want some bristol racing!!!

nah man, heads just above soil go B20 W10 R7 and anywhere from 18-24" away, this will give you a little radiant heat on them while not blasting them with photons.

where did you get te 99-83-12 from?

CLW Has a video, I believe 995050@ 48..
I gotta go fix that...it's like 200ppfd maybe a little more in the middle??

I go trun it down

So I asked and was charged for the lowest rate which is 8 but I'm not getting 8 lol. I think it will be 6 or 4awg. They do biz kinda funky and now I'm not getting the 4 channel Asylum amp either. They put that on the invoice but I'm getting a bigger and better 5 channel Kenwood.
It's just weird how they're doing it because they charging me for gear at one price but upgrading it at every turn. Even the maestro harness being part of that.

I'm gonna have it so there's actually 2 amps. The 5 channel will be for the door speakers and eventually a pair of 6x9s in the back cab. I could add a subwoofer with that 5th channel but I think it would only be 4 or 600 watts, can't remember, while the box with the amp in it is 1200watts on a 12". I may upgrade the sub later and maybe even run it off the 5 channel amp but I really like that box as is. It's a freaking beast plus it's slim for the cab leaving room for my dogs.

Yep, ajusted...thanks . I didn't want them to have to pull themselves to center, I'll watch em

I rotate and shuffle them around at that size if they lean toward the light and even if they don't. It also helps stimulate the stalk and leaves, building hardiness

yep, watching is the best thing.. i kow you started a bunch of seeds, what size footprint are you illuminating right now? (how big square are your cups)

sounds like you'll find out once it's all in!! haha kenwood makes some awesome amps, some shitty ones too.. a lot of the top companies make affordable lines that are sold on crutchfield and such. the MFG's play games with model numbers all the time.. some models are only sold by certain customers but are very similar to others.. they're tricky AF with that stuff and it's how they hustle their money.

thats funny man i typed out almost the exact same sentence to him and deleted it before i posted it.

but yeah DJ, move em around, spin em, keep the guessing where the hot spots are..

.
.

burn em down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a little bit bigger than the light

Its a little bit bigger than the light

you're solid at 18" away, it will easy to cover that space.. on the long ways of the light i get good core with about 41" . i think the diodes are 90Ā° could be 60, don't listen to me..

once you're comfortable with it and are just growing for stash weed then you can fuck around.. for now we're gonna get you on a solid A to B run with a good quality smoke in the end. once you have that then we can turn up the gas and see whats up!! i've started seeds as high as 50% already, but you gotta have all your other ducks in a row first.. kinda like an engine, you can't just slap a huge carburetor on it and expect it to go fast. you gotta open the intake, open the cylinders, open the exhaust.. then your big ass carburetor can be useful.

same with growing, a big bright light won't get you big plants but combine that with the correct temp/rh/rootzone and you can go all HAM with a light.

make sense?

Agreed on all points, when I find the bottom " do not go below this line" i believe it will help..
Yup

you got it man,,, looks textbook right there.

do you happen to have a heatmat to set them on? they love it hot at that age.. like 90 right on the bottom of the cup is not too much .. my seedlings always grow better with a warm rootzone, once they hit the veg stage i lower the heat.. i keep the rootzones warm throughout the whole veg time if i can. thats what my peg leg table was for.. heater was inches under it making it a warm bed for the containers..

green track.. cold air!!! trucks are gonna EAT tonight!!!! hell yeah!!!!

I don't think my heat mat is big enough..but this little ACI heater has a pretty cool hose that can be placed were you want it..net i go in there I'll figure something out

last i saw you were at 78Ā°. are you still at that?

the 07 team just decided they're gonna one stop the race!! 75 more laps to go before they stop.

How'd the Hendricks trucks get up there already?

he's fast.. thats how.. he's still on qualifying scuffs and says he's pretty good in one and two.. a little loose in three and four.. stickers will make a difference but not till the end of second stage..

what two trucks pitted.. looks like everybody wants to one stop it!
