friday night update!!!!!



just starting week seven of flower in the dark side.. they're all doing well, a couple really aren't drinking much and a few other are drinking a lot.. some pics...






from here on out anything watered will also be getting a dose of these two...

and on the Dagobah side we're just starting week five of veg. the past week they were on lucas full strength and they didn't really like it so much. they were drinking more than eating so i went a day early and did a change out last night. i'm right now at 88% Lucas formula and riding right in at 670ppm for now. last week i started at 720 and i was up to 760 by day six so i wasn't waiting for more.. 24 hrs later now and they seem to be happy!!!

i rotated them 90 degrees again.. they're now wider front to back then left to right!! haha i'm lookin to fill the table this time guys!!!!!

we're headed for a heat wave here for the rest of the week. so i'll be watering at night this week. i put the AC units in the bedrooms a couple weeks ago, we only used it once so far.. they'll be running thursday and friday thats for sure!!!!

What's the bundle of sticks wrapped in the chain for?

Working on another collection of seeds I'll split with ya.
This time it's Comeback Melons which is just a Charleston Gray but the farm has been selective breeding and has a cut called the Comeback.
I swear dude, the juice is red like blood, stains like beet juice, and the entire melon is as sweet as the heart of most other kinds of melons.
Big too. About 20" long and around 14" diameter. Tiger striped like a cannabis seed when ripe. Best melon I've ever had!

i bet i get a month on each side of the growing season inside there... keeps any critters out of the plants too. it came with a cover that had windows but it wore out and tore years ago. i bought greenhouse plastic and never cut windows in the side. it's been through war and back but still holds strong!!

i just hope nothing eats it all... one deer could wipe that out in a day!! i didn't post a pic because i'm still a little salty but i put my grape tomato plant out for one day trying to get more pollinators on it and some asshole stripped it clean!!!!

i have barrier on the side with my fruit trees and greenhouse and the backside i manage with the lawn mower. i started this with just two little stalks from a property down the road. it's one of seven indiginous to pennsylvania.

i also put down a bunch of flower seeds to try and bring in some more pollinators.. trying to keep the vultures off of the seed till it starts!!!!! hahaha

OH and i keep forgetting to answer you on the ispire... no, i have not tried my replacement yet. i put it in the case and stashed it away for emergencies!! haha

i wore mine out over the weekend.. needs a cleaning.. i switched back to the puffco the past two days.. i really like switching back and forth between the two. it's like a mood thing!!!! the puffco has not seen squish since i got the ispire, it's so awesome having that glass bucket!!!!!

my neighbor brought us a few pounds of fresh blueberries... i'm gonna make them some sousvide cheesecakes with them for the weekend!!!



until then we're making frozen fruit smoothies to beat this heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking good. Much bigger than my gardens.

I’ve already put out my second set of seedlings. Only one watermelon is still hanging in for a total of three. Cucumbers and tomatoes are doing fine but the corn I have no idea.

The weathers been fighting me this whole season.

i'm really hoping the worst ain't to come man.. i haven't had anything even close to this amount or anything at all in the ground since my terrible infestation of horned tomato cat's.. they fuckin kicked my ass man,, like bad... for years and i kept moving the garden and they kept finding me.. i haven't had any since moving to containers... i hate growing veggies in containers!!! but i forced to do it.

so this will be a test right here kinda.. i do have thuricide on hand so i'm ready for war but i'd rather not have to battle to get a natural grown tomato or pepper!!!

thats why i have all the prize plants inside in earhboxes..

i really need to get my ass in gear on a fence though.. i'm already on borrowed time for not having them messed with.. tall steel fences have never worked for me, i think its because i tend to go too big and then the deer jump inside the fence and then get all freaked out when they can't get out and destroy everything.. it's only happened three of the five times i set a fence but fuck dat.. so i have always liked the clear fishing line barrier. it really freaks them out and i think because i have so much room here they just move on and don't even know what they're missing.

our weather hasn't been bad at all for a garden.. just warm is all.. most rains have been steady gentle rains too. grass hasn't been growing bad, not much mowing.. other than my peach trees freezing over in the spring eveything is growing great but yeah another year and no peaches for me.

hoping we have a stellar raspberry season though, they're in abundance this year!!! on a good spring this would be a good picking weekend here but they're a little late.

indoor plants are doing well.. today marks a new week in flower so i turned the light up another 10%... hydro plants will get flipped to flower soon too.. they'e already at minimum height needed for the screen. along with that change out last thursday i also took some red out of the spectrum a little to try and promote more veg growth and wow did they ever respond, even grew an extra set of blades on the new leaves this week.
i'm gonna start a new thread for the flowering half... next few days i'll post one. there was some recent interest in Granny's scrog method from a couple new members and i told them i was currently growing her style and was about to lower the screen so i figured i'd post it out in another thread so it doen't get all jumbled up in this mess of a journal...

hell of a great TV weekend coming up!!!!!! saturday and sunday night racing! THREE nights of OP Live catchin bad guys!!! new season of Silo starts!! i have the new star wars movie downloaded along with Masters of the universe and something called Obsession that i was overruled on and asked to download. i'm not working friday so the weekend starts tomorrow night for me!!!

Thinking about going to so the Minions movie. We did a really cool virtual reality experience yesterday and now I'm thinking about getting one of those headsets too.

That time of year for doing stuff in the morning and evening but the afternoons are meant for movies and AC!

But yeah about 10 years ago the arms race in facilities began. Oregon has set the standard and has the best today but we're all very close and Longhorn Lockers does a lot of teams now.
We had the first design and it was made better by LSU then we took that and one upped LSU. I imagine next year LSU will one up us but dude, there's like 50 other LSU so this shit keeps going.
But yeah we have the barber shop and all that stuff. Wild to see it at HMS but Mr.H did go for the bottom tier packages because they get crazy with amenities.
The new design is like a first class air flight cabin or something for each locker. Air, light, recliners that transform into a bed, power ports etc. It's really hard to believe it's a football locker.

Points alert man...IDK why but they're allowing check in during O'riley qualifying and it's the 250 point bonus weekend!!! I'm gonna see if it will allow another check in later and check in for cup qualifying
Powerball was kind this week and spit out 49. Sitting at 6421 right now and looking for more bonuses on the weekend!

so my buddy swears by the irish spring to keep deer and rabbits away.. i'll give it a try...



that combined with my invisafence.. and i'm hoping to keep the deer off the black stuff. so far nothing will walk on it!! still have hope!!! trying to protect a possible future bounty here!!!!!



insde the poly tunnel is growing great!! cucumbers are growing strong!!!



and tomatoes are still doing great!!!! even got a few greenies on the tractor supply plant!!!

ya know now that you mention public auctions i can remember hearing advertisements for ones locally. i know people that have bought and stole stadium seats already. the one last philly game in the old stadium people were stealing anything they could. typical philly fans for sure. there must be something in the schuylkill river that makes em act goofy like that!! haha

i think maybe the tall dead grass under the weed block maybe freaks things out. i never saw footprints on it ever. my chickens walked on it a couple times but only when they seen me on it. now the fishing line is up even they won't go in there. i don't really car if they do, but if they won't even then maybe something else skittish won't either.. fingers crossed. i have no idea how long it takes but i assume i'm going to have to protect these till november.
they get lots of water and fertilizer for sure.. that slight grade hill there is the bottom of my sewage drain field!!!

hoping to harvest soon.. i'm gonna scope the buds over the next couple days and see how they look. they smell fantastic thats for sure. lots of different aromas that i don't normally smell in my buds so that has me excited that maybe the flavors are all over the charts as well!!! the skunk kush smells awesome but completely and totally different from the golden goat.. out of all the plants getting a dose of hygrozyme the one particular golden goat completely changed after iit. her drinking pattern went way up and the bud swell was right behind it. i bt she ends up being my best finisher of all of them and she just turned it on over the last few weeks. but almost every day one of them is asking for water.

oh yeah before i forget.. i told you i was loading up your hard drive with whatever movie i saw on the bootleg site.. well this gem rolled through two days ago and had your name all over it!!!! i think it rated as a 2 or 3 in the B category.. bad bad!! hahaha

man i have been such a slacker.. i wanted to so bad, but haven't yet. i was going to try a legit outdoor crop this year and it fizzled out. so now with my harvest almost ready here i will be using this area to get some females picked out of the males and run some regs inside. since i'd like to keep my hydro for clones it should be easy for me to sex out small amounts to get a female and just aim for the cuttings for clones. it will takes some time but it's not like i'm gonna run out of bud messing around for the rest of the year if i wanted. i'm not putting any time limit or anything on it. i just know i have multiple awesome packs or regs and i really wanna grow some. yours, Costanza's (can't stand ya!) hahaha i miss Seinfeld.. and i also have some drool sounding cultivar's that moshman gave me.. the list kinda goes on and on with regs i really want to grow. i remember there was a time i never touched fems. my five plant perpetual was so perfect for that.

but yes plans for the future are growing seeds i already have and if i can keep them viable i won't ever run out.

hoping to harvest soon.. i'm gonna scope the buds over the next couple days and see how they look. they smell fantastic thats for sure. lots of different aromas that i don't normally smell in my buds so that has me excited that maybe the flavors are all over the charts as well!!! the skunk kush smells awesome but completely and totally different from the golden goat.. out of all the plants getting a dose of hygrozyme the one particular golden goat completely changed after iit. her drinking pattern went way up and the bud swell was right behind it. i bt she ends up being my best finisher of all of them and she just turned it on over the last few weeks. but almost every day one of them is asking for water.

oh yeah before i forget.. i told you i was loading up your hard drive with whatever movie i saw on the bootleg site.. well this gem rolled through two days ago and had your name all over it!!!! i think it rated as a 2 or 3 in the B category.. bad bad!! hahaha

Sharknado is the OG and then yeah lot and lots of weird shit usually having to deal angry critters with teeth, volcanoes, and tornaodes. Mix in a ton of shitty F list reality show reject actors and Mom's garage level of CGI and you have a sci-fi movie!

I never knew this but apparently the best deterrent is a mama mockingbird. Hell hath no fury like little those little ladies and we have one nesting in our front yard.
She's got a full house too and is very protective of it so squirrels keep their distance this year.
She's even swooped at me and the dogs when we got too close. She told us where her boundary was at and how we better not cross it or we'd meet our maker!

Your deer prevention got me thinking about this fucking cat that's been coming into my yard at night trying to start fights with my cats when they wanna chill out on the new patio.
Two nights ago he started a fight and I had to break it up by kicking him off my cat.
Bold little fucker came back at me then realized I was a big ass dude he hadn't seen before and reconsidered. I chased him to the back fence where he went over and I haven't seen him back since.
My wife had seen him a lot and trying to start fights in the days prior so I'm expecting the little asshole to return.
He comes from the back so has to walk thru the yard so I'm setting a couple of these up like a mine field



Two things I hope will happen...Little dude realizes this home is not for him and to leave my cats alone but also with the sprinkler kicking off it will scare mine to come back inside and not fight him.
One is good and he knows to come get me when there's stranger danger but our female is more like a guard kitty learning protection from our dogs so she wants to fight any and all intruders. Don't need a little feral fucker fighting mine and getting mine sick from something.
If he still comes back after the motion sprinkler I'm using that as an excuse to buy an electric water minigun and standing watch. No way these don't scare a stray cat away

we get a lot of mocking birds here as well. they even dive bomb my chickens!!! and then my chicken will turn and square up with it and it's like oh shit!! hahaha a couple days ago it was almost dark and two rabbits starting fighting in the yard. all tumbling around and snarling.. my one chicken charged over there and broke it up. they scattered in both direction and my chicky stood tall and pranced off to bed in her coop, like my work her is done, i'm going to bed!!! hahaha it was pretty funny!!!

i'm usually pretty good at deterring and finding ways to stamp my grounds n the middle of nature and not have to rarely eliminate something. a feral cat messing with a pet is where that line is for me. anything that keeps coming back just to start trouble and doesn't take the repeated hint then i thats where i gotta do what i gotta do. i'd have three paintballs on that thing before it left the yard.. make it spend the next two days licking itself clean!!
