got some goodies in the mail today... ahhh yeah!!!!!!!



also haven't talked about this much... i almost killed that Fruity Freak seedling with my dwc bucket attempt.. back to the drawing board on that one for sure!!!! so i back to good ol reliable soil and since i have a couple bags and not enough for a full run it was a pretty easy decision..

just finished up the first week...

finally back to racing again this weekend!!!!! i find myself a little heavier in the gas when driving because i miss the speed.. went for a few butt puckering four wheeler rides, that usually scares the go fast right out of me for week or so but this week i just want more!!!

.

big thunderstorm right now.. came in out of nowhere and totally unexpected!! cooled it down a shit load!!! went from 98 down to 75 in a few minutes!!!

.

not much else new to talk about.. new season of ted lasso started.. dude makes us laugh to tears every episode!!! new deadliest catch on tonight.. On Patrol Live.. we already watched the new episode of silo last night, boothleggers get it a day early!!

slowly catching up on my RH downstairs.. with just old trusty on low and a fan i have it down to 61% right now and still lowering. i turned off that big POS stand alone unit, i can't wait to give that thing away.

everything else is growing fine.. my garden by Zen is crankin out the cucumbers faster than we can eat/give away right now.
tried my recent pickles... DAMN!!!!!! i'm impressed!! i sliced a little to thick though, i was afraid to lose crunch.. nope not at all.. to thick though and four days in and i can still taste fresh cucumber on the back end. but wowzers that first bite is pickle yumminess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cherry tomatoes are so close too.. turning red daily, and won't long... those plants are loaded with them!!!!!!!!!!!! been picking/eating the cheater plant grape tomatoes for a week or more now.

well hell look at that i found shit to talk about... hahaha

made another round of quick pickles tonight...

this time i used distilled white vinegar versus the apple cider to compare and sliced these into spears and wavy chips..

We picked up the pickling spice pack Saturday. I have two cucumbers on the kitchen island left I can try this on. One jar for each cucumber.

How long you let them rest before you think they are ready?

We have lots of white vinegar but only one of apple. I have a few apple & banana vinegar bottle I made still.

cool man!! like ya say, once they start pumping there is no slowing them down and i like to use as much as i can. i'll start canning some for the winter soon. i add a little pickle crisp additive when i long term can.

but these quick pickles can be ready to eat in 48 hours if sliced thin enough for the flavor to pickle through.. mine were thicker so it took a week. this last ones i sliced thinner so i'll open em soon to try!!

mowed the lawn for the month of august.. so far just been once a month, last time was mid june. the new motor in the mower is running awesome!! i tinkered with the tune up and got it running perfect right now. i get over two full mows now with just one tank of gas, i think i doubled it from the old engine. the rpms don't even dip now when i engage the blades and it goes a little faster speed. cuts really nice too.. couldn't be happier with it!!



even got out the edger and cleaned up the sidewalk... till my chickens messed it up again anyway!!! haha

New way to earn 50 points started this week.
Fan Rewards is doing some sort of fan wall of photos and you can enter a photo for 50 points. I sent one of me and Chase and his door but I'm sure anything like a pic of a flag or whatever will get the 50.
There's also a bucket list race contest and it's funny because COTA is on there. But I entered for 'Dega. Might be able to enter for all of them though so I'm gonna try to enter for Loudon and Atlanta too

July4th at Iowa will be nuts but that's gonna have some built in exclusivity that prices it out of most budgets. Those experiences I think can be worth it maybe once but we did Chicago and that was enough of those. It was crazy memorable but I also saw how much better it was on TV and I bet Coronado was the same.
It was even weird two years ago when they pretty much sold out Iowa before they set tickets for sale to the public so each year that's been like a $300 ticket minimum from a second party, not the track. I haven't looked to go to Iowa since.
So happy seeing COTA back on the schedule and on the same weekend too! Looking forward to finally cashing in points for a garage experience

Saw Crosby and the QB got in a fight at Raiders camp too! That time of the year when shits' chippy!

ah yeah, we toss disc golf here... play real golf too. when your next door neighbor owns the country club in your town ya get to play for free!!! hehe
i don't talk about it much but its pretty much the only sport i play anymore.



i have a killer fairway i mow... it's really a pipe line that runs through my property but i keep it mowed decent and so do a couple neighbors, i just try to keep up with the jones' around here.. haha but yeah this is like my only view i have at the top of this hill..

had an early day today.. had an afternoon appointment to get my nissan it's yearly state inspection and emissions tested.. passed with flying colors!!!!!!!!!!!
my mechanic races stock car at a local track here and had won just two weekends ago so it was awesome to congratulate him!!! he runs a modified sportsman series there for as long as i can remember.

i germed a tropicana cherry over the weekend.. wanna try some sort of hydro veg, not sold on any particular way, had a tough time with ph in a DWC bucket but i didn't put in much effort or try any buffer anything. got my cloner in bleach right now so i'll probably transfer the sprouts to there for now.

somehow i need my arm twisted in right direction yet..

i don't walk much for exercise but the lady at the end walks the entire thing once in a while. she says it's a very peaceful walk.. goes past my house about another 1/2 mile, the last house was built by William Penn's cousin the previous owners found a carved date in a beam when remodeling and then traced it back. they were then so careful not to remove anything original from the house.

nothing was on my lot when i purchased it, cept for peoples trash!! i had these ominous looking mounds everywhere lined with rocks.. really odd.. also found lots of indian artifacts and at the time i new a few natives so i asked the to come check it out before i broke ground. last thing i wanted was some bad juju.. they did a small ceromony and buried some tobacco and did a song and dance and the rest is history!!!!

Too funny with your pic because I told my wife this morning her photo was accepted and I started scrolling the wall to find it with the others.
She was a pro photographer for musicians a long time ago so she's a shutterbug and proud of her pics. She really like the one of me and Chase and was seeing how most were selfies but there were a few with drivers then she's like "somebody sent an AI image of the $85 Larson car. That's not a picture at all. Not even a selfie"

Then I log on here and see that and now my side hurts from laughing so much. Holy shit man that's funny.

I'm pretty neutral when it comes to manufacturers, only with a personal preference for Ford but love the engineering behind Chevy and Toyota so if I'm gonna pick a villain car maker I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Dodge and Ram. Gonna haze them like the new kid with braces and specs.

I have early and late days these day. Pure grind but we're one of the few built to win it all this season so it's super fun with so much talent.

but with that being said i still hate HEMI's... they're junk.. all of em!! not one single production hemi is worth a shit! not even a 1971 426 hemi.. if hemispherical heads were so great everybody would be using them.
yes, the shape of the head produces more horsepower than any other geometrical shape in existence, this i agree with. BUT.. it also produces more wasted fuel than any other shaped head on the planet!! period!

did you know that all modern hemi;s have sixteen spark plugs?.. yep.. eight for the motor and then eight more in the exhaust just to burn off all the unused fuel so that the catalytic converters can actually pass road emissions.

so last week i'm reading headlines and i read one that said the raiders signs free agent so and so from Texas.. i was like what?!?!? then i reread it and it really said a free agent from the Texans.. i was like awww...

i don't whats gonna happen but we'll see come september!!!! and the way time flies that will be here soon!!!! i think preseason starts next week for nfl. this week is the hall of fame game i think..

i saw hard knocks was on, i didn't watch it all.. i might though. i need to build up a few episodes first so i can binge watch a few.

i read that the raiders RB Ashton Jeanty went on a new diet in the off season and shed some weight. that dude runs like a bowling ball bouncing off of guys, i can't wait to see how he runs now!! coach made a comment a while back that he was gonna feed him the ball till the wheels fell off!! i've been begging for that to happen!!!
