Stoney's Luv Shack

Just saw the NASCAR rewards dashboard trivia points are worth 20 + 5 for tier bonus today. It was 10+3.
I hope it stays at 20 for next year since they raised the redemption value on the experiences and tix

cool man now i only need 115 points to level up!!! i hope it keeps going i just might get there. i actually guessed right today! haha i knew it had to be 07 or 05 since he drove that bud car..

my LA for sure was much skinnier than the rest of them. all three plants were the same tall and thin. took almost the full flowering time till they really filled out and stacked up enough, because they were so tall they ended up having the same weight as the other plants though.

.

i picked up a XL chamber with a black friday sale. been wanting one since i first seen it... monster clouds!!!

just starting week eight since seed and about two weeks since flower... lights are putting out just over 1K μmol/s to the colas. i'm thinking about making some tea this weekend. the aromas thy're putting out already has me very excited, and how much different they are from each other is quite the variety. cherry pie, candy store, sun of a peach.. they all smell spectacular!! but the amherst sour diesel gives me chills and makes me weak in the knees when i smell her, even at such a young age she is the best smelling plant i've grown! they both smell incredible and the same but for some reason the "can't get right" plant is far more pungent and loud!!! :D

Nice.

Haha I knew you'd love it!
I think we're headed towards a 4th series in NASCAR with the EV. It wont replace combustion engines and will likely be a series tiered between ARCA and Trucks or Trucks and Xfinity but even more likely to be an international series

hot new smileys.... ;bris;lar;leyes

we're gettin there!!!!!

I went in my poly tunnel today to gather up anything important before i take the cover off for the winter and i forgot all about the Apple Fritter auto i put out there.. only watered the pot once!!!!

we didn't eat yet, around six maybe? we do traditional except for the time. 🤷‍♂️ i had no breakfast and a light lunch so i'm getting hungry for sure!! everything is pretty much ready except for some gravy... that what i can make the best, the gravy!!!

man i did not make any stuffing at all... i do have a salad mixed up so yes, there will be dressing. i'll have thousand island on mine!!! 😆

.

amazing how resilient these plants are... we must have had five or six night under 32° now and still wants more life!!

i had all those weeds on my outdoor plant and they washed right off so this will to, when i first touched it the whole greenhouse smelled great!!!

nuthin left but crying now!!! Tday is done.. dinner is done, dishes are done, leftovers are vac'd up and fridged for later, the only thing left is a plate of bones that me and a left over doobie will take out to the woodline in a walk later... for now it's a hot coffee and a few dabs!!!!

I bet that's terpy AF!!!;H
The auto too 😋
I like throwing some stress like that at the ladies before chop. Little drought, Little cold, they know what's coming and show out right before they die. It's not pretty but damn the smoke is top shelf

i was kinda numb by today... yesterday pretty much every one of my favorite schools lost. bad week in sports!!!

I've seen this same joke but it was autoflowers 🤣

my neighbor will never lock his house or car... he says then i gotta replace my glass and what they took!!!

you've been quite the observer today!! ;dance

i've been printing things for ya... i'll have it all together this week, i'll send ya pic when it's done!! one i have is a mistake, my power went out when the print was at 97%.. fucker!! i didn't get to it right away and the print bed cooled down a few degrees and the VG unattached from the print bed and fell over, not much at all i can do at that point. so it still functions fine just has some "character" hehe

May I interrupt with a printer question? How important would this dryer be? On a scale of 1-10, five being nice to have and ten being shouldn’t be without, how would you rate it? I understand different climates will have different needs.

Sounds like it is or can be a preheat for the material as well. Do these use electricity on a regular basis and would it be negligible?

The list of additional equipment is growing. 🤦🤣

it's like growers creep ain't it?!?! hahaha

my personal opinion i would rate that as a one in needing.. maybe if you lived on a coastline or something it would go up to 4 as important. thats my opinion but i also don't spend $60 per roll of filament either, somebody that invests in super high quality can afford a dryer so why not.

i might be wrong but from i read the TPU is the most sensitive to rh. for the little amount of tpu i use compared to the price it's just not worth it for me to have a dryer.

I've never felt the need to get one of those and seems like my filament, or some brands of PETG, could actually use the opposite and be moisturized because they dry out and get brittle if left out and not used for a spell.

One accessory I have been thinking about is getting a tent for my printer. I've seen the small cloning tents being used by some. I'd like that just to keep dust off it and maintain consistent temps during a print. But even then I'd say I want it more than need it.

Cool. Thanks for the opinion.

He was going to get one then changed his mind. I thought the small 2-1 2’x3’ would be perfect and hold all the extras on the side or shelf. (Stop leaving shit all over the house. 🤣)

Yes, yes it is. Or shooting, or motorcycles, or fishing, or computers… It’s a reasonable tool for his hobbies. I can’t complain about the items we’ve made for the tent. They aren’t all perfect but they are in a tent. IDC as long as they work. Looks are secondary to function for me, most of the time. The higher the price the smaller that gap becomes.

This was my thinking. The groups he reads and listens too all buy this and that. He’s just got the new toy bug. I relayed the replies from you guys and he’s listening to reason.

I originally said he’s buying a solution to a problem he hasn’t experienced yet. Now he’s willing to wait and see. 👍

Anything you would say is a must or something that should be bought sooner than later?

Zen and i have been talking about tents too... fire resistant, keeps the dust off, keeps the heat in, keeps the heat more stable. couldn't think of any negatives at all.

last week i ordered some plastic sheet to make one, i rally wanted to just buy a tent for $50 and call it good but i would have to move the printer and find a new home for it so i decided to just make my own and make it custom size to fit in it's spot.

Cool. Thanks guys.

not that i can think of.. if it were a creality i could suggest nozzles and bowden tube but with that brand i'm not sure what wears out or breaks if anything at all.. might be a wait n see thing.

keeping the print bed clean is a good habit to have, when it's warm some 50/50 and a soft cloth...

It's funny because when I was shopping for my cloning tent, I'd see reviews like these

Screenshot 2024-12-08 220912.png

Like Stoney said, spare nozzles are a must.
I also have a few different types of beds since some work better than others for certain filaments. Mine came with a tempered glass bed but I use a reversible PEI bed that's pebbled on one side and smooth on the other more than the glass bed. It peels off the bed too so if a print sticks too well I can bend the bed to pop it off

i was looking at the printer specific ones with built in lighting... they would block about 4-5 inches of my tv... i'm forced to go custom..

I may end up repurposing my clone tent by turning it sideways if the printer will fit.
I have lots of lights like T5HO single lamp fixtures I can mount to the cross bars. Right now I use a led panel on an adjustable arm with a clamp mount behind the printer.
I suppose a light would be something Zen would need as well but the room mine is in is kinda dark.
It is funny though how tents for wardrobes and 3d printers are pretty much a grow tent but the word "grow" doubles the price

He has two already but one is just a much better brand of the one that’s on it. For his models that require fine work. He printed a hard case to hold them and all the small tools/spare parts. I was surprised to see it print the piano hinge in place. I was expecting it to require assembly.

His has a pebble top on atm. He has one or two on the way still, ones flat/smooth. They are magnetic and lock in pretty tight. We wait for it to get below 30* then lift it off and flex it a bit to pop them off. I have plastic and metal putty knives too.

i wish i could just buy one, i'd have it already. i like the spot and it;s so close to the bottom of the tv, i'm not moving it either.. i could relocate the spool to the side or something.. but i already bought the material so i'm going for it.

i put strip lighting on mine when i first bought it.. it's really convenient!!

i just picked up two of them on a black friday sale.. they're double sided so they should last me the year...

Nice. His comes with one side light you can turn off/on but an overhead would be much better. I’ll show him yours.

You mean they wear out too?😳

You mean they wear out too?😳

mine do... i buy the cheapos though so not sure. petg seems to wear them out faster for some reason. after time they just don't stick as well and i start to get corners lifting on bigger prints, even when i print with a brim. i try to move my prints around on the plate so they're not always wearing out the middle right away.

i was printing out a VG for Observer and the one corner lifted a little at like just 15% in the print.. it then squashes all the layers to make up for that lift.. you can even see the layer where it lifted and made the line near the bottom..
