Stoney's Luv Shack

oh that sounds cool as hell... yeah man, show me!!!

so the digital would either be an off or on option, like all or nothing. where as analog could give a variable output from say 1 to 10 and anywhere in between.

the "megas" can read up to 16 analog inputs. that just happens to be the same number of plants i grow!!!! ;toke

Ok glad I'm not the only that has not heard about leaf sensors...haha...I just learned this last night....regardless how ever accurate it may be...

looks like plastic and some wire and a pcb board? Copper wires? I don't know that stuff as well/terminology

But here's some of the info

Figure you and moe know or could figure out more about this and coding the software, And 3d printing the hardware.

And wanted yalls opinion, maybe this could be another cheap tool/sensor easily manufactured.

so these sensors actually measure the thickness of the leaf to determine moisture... brilliant!!!!!!!!!!
Yup

I find it little crazy I've not seen this on any grow forum lol

wow $130 per sensor.. 16 sensors = $2080 for my setup.. the rest is all doable and can be DIY.

.

yeah i googled your "leaf sensor" and it one of the first results!!! haha

Yea that price is insane I figured you could make this so much cheaper and then tell me how lol =)

maybe buy just one and backward engineer it...

it might just be a measuring laser that shines through the leaf.

it might need to be calibrated for each individual plant.. measure the leaf when the plant is happy, then measure when dry. then tell the computer to look for those numbers from the sensor and react however you tell it.

not hard to connect or program really. just depends on the accuracy of the measurement.

i did see a calibration page somewhere, i think on the first link, the aeroponics page link

That doesn't sound too difficult to calibrate per batch either, one could dry out the plant and take measurements with the right device in a consistently controlled environment.

Unfortunately it doesn’t sound like you could use one and run multiple leads to plants. Unless the board has multiple contact points. Out of my zone of knowledge.

I can already check just one plant pretty easy. I would want it to check each plant individually. I was reading more and those sensors measure the rhickness and the electrical capacitance at the same time. That cheap one on zon only saw the capacitance of the leaf. I already know that's not enough. You see this in your space I'm sure where a leaf rests on something it's always wet under it. If that sensor sits there it's only accurate to an extent.

Yes, usually another leaf.

And it still has Rudd's Tide livery!

that too cool right there!!! i remember reading that article he mentioned a couple years ago. pretty cool that he found it.
i use that google maps all the time. people will call me from the HOA and ask about something on the front of their house and i"ll bring it up on gmaps and be like oh tat stone part there? and they"re like yeah, how did you know?? hahaha i"ll say oh i saw it driving by the other day and they get all paranoid then and say can you fix it right away then if it looks that bad?? suuuure!!!! hehehe

.

i wonder if the race is rained out tonight? i can't fin anything on xfin and i thought i saw Larson was running the double this weekend, but it was only the entry list so not sure if it was just a docket thing or he was really gonna race.. . didn't get to see how he did in the dirt race there in texas a couple days ago either..

nascar wouldn't let me have the trivia points yesterday... they knew i somehow got glitched the points on tuesday and were like nope!!! hahaha

i saw this and got bummed...

Man Google maps is my go-to for pre-travel prep. Vegas, NYC, Denver, Chicago, SF...I visit them all on maps and walk around or drive routes to be familiar before I get there.
When we land, my wife gets amazed because I already know where to go down to which entrance to use in parking lots.
I was so well prepared in NYC people were asking me for directions! That was wild.
Plus it's just fun. When I was little my favorite book was the atlas maps of the US. I would imagine myself taking all these road trips and planning routes.

I think I may be okay with the puffco app. My iphone is only a 2 but I have ios update 18 loaded up into it. My wife has a new iphone so if mine won't work maybe hers will. Damn sure aint buying a new one just to use my peak though. As long as the button still works I should be good.

BTW Losi is doing a slow release on the 2025 RC NASCAR
This week the #9 and #22 dropped. The 22 is new this year.
The #5 will be the Valvoline scheme
Seven drivers total and new for this year are the 1, 20, and 24. I think the last will be the 8

Looking around on the internet today thinking about getting a new toilet and saw this

that thing looks fast!!!!!! needs a built in bidet though!!!!

.

i think the current puffco app with still work just fine, it just the new versions will require a newer OS.. it just bugs me when i know there is better software for something and i can't use it!! kinda like the two lighting effects that i can't see with my older peak.

.

man they are tearing them up at texas this weekend!! hope the cup race is as good as the trucks and xfin!!!! Larson filled in for zilisch driving for dale jr today!!! no spoilers in case you were working...

got brisky in the fantasy line up this week.. took him for that 36 for 36 too!!!

Isn't that the only reason to watch that 🤔

one of em thats for sure!!!! ;hd

I saw that...I yelling...GET OUT...GET OUT..
alot of smoke in the car there for a minute

yeah man they don't normally grenade like that anymore but that thing exploded!!!

feel bad for the 21, i always root for that ford.

larson is happy with his ride, been fighting a slight loose all day, too tight and those bumps fuck him up.... not sure what this 34 strategy is, maybe they think they can make it till the end with some lucky yellows.

proud of the 77 hanging up there too!!!!! my girl likes hocevar, she says he has "dreamy" eyes.. i said he's just high!!! hahahaha

No Limits, Texas loves to eat up some 11s. Took a bite out of the ;brisbut spit it out. Briscoe out there Tokyo Drifting and shit

that sucks for him, tough driving around like that just for points. i have his scanner on my PC speakers and have the 5's radio on a blutooth speaker.

yellow flag!!!!!

You get that Pond open?

yellows out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nah not yet, i've been slacking. i bought a new filter and need to dig a hole first to hook it all up, i took off a few days this week to get it done. the weather should be nice to work in.. been raining ad like 85° days!!! bunch of BS!!!

this week though i hope to have it going!!
