i buy the scanner at the beginning of the season when they have a one time sale on it. then each month i get the 63 points. the one time sale gives it to me for $5 a month.
my tv is kinda old now days so i can't pause on prime live. so i watched incar on max on the tv and watched the prime broadcast on my PC.. the screen size is similar, its just the tv has the better sound. i'd rather hear the engine sounds than steve letarte anyway. but this way i can pause if i need to step away for minute.. i always have both the broadcast and the incar playing in the beginning and the first one to say start your engines i hit pause, when the second one says start your engines i hit play on the first one.. synced up for the race. then i hit pause/play on both when i need to.
how about that grand marshal last night? hells yeah!!!!
that amr safety truck is hilarious.. to bad you didn't have a fire suit and helmet.. go running out there and try and climb in the back!!! hahahaha
i think 8 gear will go on like the 3's do.. even bigger of a fan base now. i'll be one of them.. it sucks because i don't have anybody to make fun of now. thought about maybe suarez but he's just a goober not a jerk at all, i'd feel weird picking on him now.. maybe i just need to pick a new rookie coming up to make fun of.. git in from the get go!! hahaha
Haha you look out the window and see deer and I look out there and see the AMR safety team

He must've seen the window still up on my truck so figured I was gonna get back to pit road...no need to get out.
The most thrilling races seem to be the ones where an agent of chaos is dropped on the field. Exploding brake rotors was just insane but that's what makes it so fun too!
We watch races very different man. I watch everything on my tv and all my apps are on a firestick. My tv is a smart tv but I bypass it's control and use firesticks.
During the season I'll end up using Hulu, then Prime, then a combo of Hulu and Peacock apps controlled thru the firestick. FS1 is always thru Hulu and the NBC will either be Hulu or Peacock.
There's different firesticks and my best one is on the main room tv with the good soundbar. Since this is Prime's slot for NASCAR, it's being broadcasted in 4K ultra and seems to be made for this particular firestick.
These firesticks came out last year and were an upgrade to everything before them and there are more features, good and bad, but it's made for prime sports.
It's insanely vivid. The garage shots of the #1 were like 3D and when the 3 Gibbs cars were running together it felt like I was a bird with a go-pro view.
I noticed it a couple weeks ago for cut ins of NBA games and was tripping out on it. They brought all that good video stuff to the track!
Most tv is normal, 1080p HD and all is good. But when the broadcast is 4K ultra and you have the gear to support it, it's really next level.
I just kinda stumbled into it last Winter because I needed a new firestick lol.
This is why Fox is such a downgrade but it's good they start the season so we get the worst broadcasts to start and they get better with prime and nbc. Fox may only be 720 and the sound is barely even stereo. I swear for me, it's like watching the races with ear plugs and foggy glasses compared to Prime.
We watch it loud and during the crank it up or whatever segments, max volume.
We get loud and crazy too and that will get the dogs barking and howling. When they get 3 and 4 wide and those middle cars get wobbly, we get loud and crazy watching them save it. Larson got the whole house going Saturday with his saves.
My work tv firestick isn't as good but it's still 4K and that's where I'll use HBOmax in car since I'm by myself and that's always just the 19. But if I'm at home, race day is a party day so we get loud and have a lot of fun with a 2 person watch party.
We've added scrabble and a game table this year so we have arcade games and scrabble to play while the race is on now. Like a sports bar atmosphere but no booze and lots of weed lol.
The announcers just blend in to the noise and don't really notice them to have an opinion but I do like southern accents more than anything so they're actually a positive I suppose.
More often than not thru Spring, I don't see much prerace and drop into them as the caution lights turn off on the pace car. I don't see many anthems or invocations. Rarely sit thru cautions or rain delays or even full screen commercials either. In two week I start vacation so will probably see more prerace and live action but during the busy season I trim a ton of fat from my watching experience since often times we might be watching a day race into the midnight hours.
KFB will be hard to replace as the villain because he won. The villian has to win a few times a season. Hamlin is that guy but he's mean about it and that's why it's not cool. He's broken now too so don't wanna pile on and he's dialed the shit back so IDK...Hamlin is just tapioca pudding to me now. I really thought he and Larson would be trading wins this season in a good heated rivalry for the ages but that new Chevy body fucked it all up.
We love cracking on Suarez because he's funny when he gets mad. That Latin fire kicks in and he loses all the politeness and starts cussing in Spanish. It's funny AF but he's no villain.
I might put money on Ty Gibbs being the next villain. Getting Chastain out of a chevy and into a Ford would do it too. If Austin Hill makes it to cup he's an ez one to hate for me. If there was anybody who should have Maxipad branded across the hood of their car it's Hill.
We poke fun at most drivers...Blaney looking like a civil war general...Logano looking like a Disney movie villain...Kez a nerd...Gemberger and his name game....Cole Custer's frozen cold custard, the pickle car. Zillich is a dork. No villain though. Problem is some of these guys are just too good of guys to be a villain!! I want to hate Sam Mayer but dude is just too nice and cool and I can't hate that no matter how many JRM cars he punts off the track
