got 'er done!!!...

storm system stoneyluv came through and wiped em out!!!!!



what a mess.... i got most of it cleaned up.. i will take my air gun and blow it out good and then run my UV for a while... i still need to flush and then harvest the roots to pickle them, i could use a day or two to get the jars cleaned and get ready.



i stuffed the rest into the dry box...

and ran all the scraps i didn't feel like trimming through the bowl trimmer.. this mulches it perfect for the tumbler once its dry. this is a before and after of it...



and the only other thing left to do is scoop up this junk and toss it out in the woods...



i'll post some pics and an update on the root pickling and then hopefully i can get a final weight and close out this journal!!!

i made it myself.. it's pretty old Max, i bet close to ten years now.. i always said when this one falls apart i'll make a good one. i'm starting to think it will never fall apart.

it's just a simple anti static dishwashing tub i got from a local houseware store...



i put an adjustable buck converter on to adjust the speed and also a directional switch to change directions of the drum spin...



the drum itself is an old ice cream maker... i used my air nibbler to cut out sections of it and then bent paddles inside. Max, those paddles are the most important part of the drum!!! i then used doubles sided tape to attach some stainless screening. yes, i said tape!! still holding strong after all these years!!!!



i use the lid of the drum from the ice cream maker and also the drive gear came from there. i attached that to the small dc motor and away we spin!!!!!!



if i run it outside in the snow or where it's dusty i use a highly sophisticated cover i made a decade ago...



and thats it...

a small soft brush to collect it and a mug to store it in!!!!!

thats where i got mine.. i have one of the digital adjustment ones but they sell them with a manual knob and those would work just as good. the speed adjustment is a really nice feature to have. the paddles inside the drum throw the material up and by adjusting the speed you can get it to fall perfect in the bottom center of the drum. too slow and it falls on the inside edge, too fast and it shoots it to the outside of the drum. keeping the material right in the middle helps it fall square on the screen versus hitting it at an angle.

you're technically not tumbling the material, it's dropping it on a screen over and over thousands of times.

buds are drying nice so far and i kinda forgot how much i like using the diy dry box. it's working better than i remember.

wile they're finishing the dry and cure i cleaned everything up and took the rootballs out and washed them and pickled them... i used apple cider vinegar and pickling spices with a little chili pepper for kick.. i can't wait to try them out!!!!!



i kept the stalks.... i showed them to my neighbor today and his eye lit up!! he grabbed em like bongo sticks and air drummed with em!!!! hahaha .. they're like little clubs!!!



after a couple days of circulating bleach water the plant site looked pretty grody...



pulled my sensors up and put the ph sensor in storage solution and got out my toilet brush and went to town on the inside..



got everything clean like new and all dried out and ready to fill up and start all over!!!!!!! i didn't risk taking my heater out this time, didn't want a pile of glass on the floor again.. i just ran my brush over it the best i could.



also soaked the lids and netcups in the bleach water and cleaned those up as well.... ready for more slaps!!!!

the next round is getting bigger and ready to go whenever i want.... i need to pick two of these three, they look pretty similar so might be a hard choice... you guys should choose for me!!!!!!! they all have great scrog structure!!!!

i don't remember which thread or when but the last time i took one out of the rez i accidentally dropped it on the concrete and it left a pile of glass for me to clean up and i had to buy this new heater to replace it.. i had posted a photo of my blunder but don't remember where it is.
