If you take a bit of time to read through some of Gregor Mendel's work, the whole approach behind plant genetics and breeding will make a lot more sense. @Bandit420's write-up is spot on and well written ... but even then, its a bit short of explaining everything that's happening when you attempt to isolate gene traits using physical expressions for desired traits. That's just the nature of this beast ... it can get pretty involved over time.

Now with that said, I'm in early flower right now. All genetics in this run are GPS and they all have "Animal Cookie" as one of the parent strains. I currently have Holy Smoke, Cookie Dawg, Fritter Cookies, and Dubble Cookies growing in my 5 x 5. I have not found any hermies yet ... my wife and I check every couple of days ... but I do have a mutant. My"Dubble Cookies" have mis-formed leaves but otherwise appear to be healthy. Below are a few pictures of my current grow;

I had 2 in my grow this year. One just looked hideous. Leaves all closed up, stems grew straight up. Leaves were in so many directions I thought my plant was throwing gang signs at me. The other not far from it. I ended up pulling the worst one and kept the other. I’ve been keeping a close eye on it for any balls. Funny thing was the seed were different strains but looked identical. I didn’t mix up seeds. I made sure each plant was marked.

Probably because this guy either ignores and or deflects issues with his genetics back to growers as if hermies and mutants are on everybody's growing skills while his seeds or the breeder are not the issue.
So if 100 growers have the same issue is it us or the seeds? If you buy into his nonsense that's fine but he will be called out on it by others.

Since we were all singing around the campfire about the old wild west series..I popped my pack of Copper Chem that's about 5 years old

went 1 for 10 unfortunately (I also dropped one so really 1 for 11) dammit.


They were never in the fridge, so no worries. I hope the one is a girl

The creature and cream is pruned for 6 leads and I had to up pot it from a 3 gal to a 5 gal. It's not totally happy here but growing well. It really stinks too, in a good way.

That pic is from a week or so ago. It's stretched to about a double + a little. Well rooted.

The oreoz S1 is comically small and it's going to be a casualty when something else needs it's spot.

The Dantes S1 is still in veg. Looks pretty good, stacked, not tall and bush shape. That tent is colder so everything is a bit slower. It's got to veg until the end of the month.

Doesn’t mean Budbuilders needs to be that kind of forum, clearly some good plants grown out to keep Greenpoint in operation for over a decade.
Takes a lot of reverse auction 20$ specials to put in a 600amp feeder pole.
I’m giving them a go, like to form my own opinions, and not feed into hate. The internet can be a ruthless place, everyone has an opinion and wants to share it.

Out of my 2 green point plants I tried, both hermed 1 got thrown away the other got plucked and cloned and at harvest it was some mighty fine smoke. The plant seems to have cloned away from the herming issue....that or I just fucked up the first time.

1 for 2, and no joke it may be my best plant in my stable...it's atleast beating all the seed plants I've kept so far, beats the deathstar x cherry moonshine. Couple of these old sog durban crosses though do have a chance to surpass it.... especially the Durban stomper s1 which smells unbelievable

This poisin Mints from old sog is barren of leaves just like the coffee crisps and only thing I can think is it must be the cookie side of things.

Before these latest fiascos I often told anybody who would listen IDK if GPS is the best, they're definitely not a fad trend, but I would put a lot of those strains up against anything and it would hold up. They were ez 9/10 scores IMO. If I didn't believe in them I would not have spent 6 years growing them exclusively. Some of them are ez top ten, a couple top 5 like PLCG, were best I've ever had.
And especially at those RA prices there was almost nothing to lose. $20 could get you fire some sell at $300.

A bad trend here or there, some strains not being very good, a mutant, maybe a late hermie is understandable and not uncommon. I think most are understanding to that.
It's the reaction and deflection or denial that will upset people. And to completely ignore what's going on with his products while trying to victory lap with pics of a greenhouse with a hemp farm? Nah fuck that. Dude should be called out and have the same shit he's thrown, thrown right back at him.
