Greenpoint Seeds

I culled that Creatures and Cream. Looking at the two apex colas, I can clearly see seeds forming. A quick squeeze test tells me that it is a seeded plant. Obvious that something was making pollen inside the bud. I'll trying plucking but only to a point. A few seeds is one thing......SEEDED is another thing altogether. So, it's chopped and I moved Dantes Inferno into it's space.

Update: Fritter Cookies

I harvested one of my Fritter Cookies 8 days ago. It's dried enough to be smokeable but its not been cured yet. I burned a small sample and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised in its taste for not yet being cured. No seeds in my crop, and nice dense nugs with a very strong hybrid high that will only improve once its cured. The only downfall was its yield. Like a lot of cookies, it's not a particular high yielding cultivar. Over-all I'd give it a solid "B" (7.5 out of 10).

I'll be reporting on the other strains over the next few weeks. (Holy Smoke, Dubble Cookies, and Cookie Dawg)

Follow up on my previous post ...

All 4 GPS strains have been harvested. All strains had monster cookies parentage, which others have stated they have had problems with. For me, no problems at all! No seeds/no hermies.

Earlier I gave fritter cookies a B ... its cured into some great tasting fire ... So I'll still give it a "B" for yield but an "A" for taste/potency.

Cookie Dawg: Yield was better than the fritter cookies. I have had some heavier yielding strains, but this one held its own ... B+ on yield and an A- on taste.

Holy Smoke: Moderate yield. This one wasn't my favorite. However I can't say too much negative about it. It's strong and someone else might like that "breath" flavor that seems to come out of it on exhale. B- yield/B flavor

Dubble Cookies: I grew out a mutant and I'm glad I did. She's absolute fire! Very low yield but I think that's due to being a mutant. However, the nugs are rock hard and have a very strong fuely sour taste. C- yield/A+ taste and strength

Over-all, I did not have a negative experience with Greenpoint Seeds. Despite the lower yields on some of the strains, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the smoke. Would I grow more from Greenpoint? Yes ... I have some Dante's Inferno S1's on deck.

@Gu~

Seems there are deals on the reverse auction for 20 packs of seeds.
20 packs @ 12 feminized seeds for $120.
Wonder why G did not mention that.
Maybe at 50 cents a seed they may be worth it?
Maybe I read it wrong, or it is limited time?

Could be a decent group buy?

Its his new marketing, he's been talking about it on discord.
Heisen is also trying ti get him to do "box sets" where you can buy a box of everything new being released.
Personally I'm done with GPS, better stuff to be had out there imo.

Bootleg is cheap too.
15 regs for 10 bucks and 8 fems for 25 bucks.

Updating... the single copper Chem was a man dagnabbit. :)

Both the Dantes Inferno and Dip N Stix are doing well. The Dipn stix being the nicer of the two and an aggressive grower. If the weed is good I'd like to see her outdoors this season.

Dip N Stix

Both in 5 gallons of stonington blend, the dip n stix could easily use a bigger pot.

have grown for 15+ years, and have a current rotation of 50-60 different flavors.

of the just-under-20 Greenpoint strains I've ran in the past, I'd only call 2 of them "keepers" (Dip N Stix and Purple Runtz).

the rest of them: (Tahoe Animal, Grape Jelly, Diamond Cookies, Sticky Icky, Bubbles, Cookie Breath, Motor Punch, Catalina Wine Mixer, Scout Snacks, Purple Crunch, Cookie Dawg, Sundance Kid, Texas Butter, Alien Punch, Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato, Gorilla Butter), I was not pleased with. at all.

around 40-50 beans total were popped, 2 each of any of the fems, and 3 each of the regular

Topanga Cookies is in the middle of the two groups, first run one of the phenos actually had a smell (which is RARE with GP strains), but then the clones died.

as for GP 'traits', in my experience:

-prone to herm (even got a full blown male {no pistils} from the allegedly-fem Grape Jelly)
-VERY prone to PM
-minimal terps (most of them had no noticeable odor, contrary to the claims on his site)
-a "sameness" to the different strains that I've never seen before or since, at least in comparison to other breeders (other than the PLCG and Gorilla Butter, which of course had no Purple Punch/Animal Cookies/Star Dawg lineage)
-hardly any of them came out looking even similar to the pictures posted with each strain
-overall poor yields (in comparison to the other 50-60 strains I grow)

I left honest reviews on his site, and he blocked me, even though I spent well over $1000 on 50+ of his strains (all on reverse auction, I'm not a dummy)

what really gets me is the bots he has to bury negative reviews on Trust Index, so I'd URGE all of you who haven't had positive results to even out the score a little bit over there. it's so obvious he signed up with some service to do such, as 90% of the poz reviews are only a sentence-or-two, with images (when posted) culled from the internet (reverse image search on google confirms this beyond a doubt), and if a 1 star review gets left, within 3 days there's 10-20 "positive" reviews to bury it.

bottom line (for me): Gu is a shyster of immense proportions. the rest of my GP packs too are also (as someone else said) going in the bird feeder. wayyyy too many reputable breeders out there to waste my time and effort on such trash

top pic is a Dip N Stix that's pretty good...but a low yielder imo.

2nd pic is one I bred at the end of week 6 (Banana Punch x Cherry Chem)

3rd one is good ol' MAC, a true winner from Cap, and a beast in the flower room, day 60

4th one is Orange Octane (day 57)

and the last one is Durban Poison x MAC (another one I bred), around week 8

ymmv, but I'd stay AWAY from anything Greenpoint related, as it's just too much of a crapshoot, and the owner is disingenuous at best.

I am currently growing "Greenspoint" Super Skunk, it's an ugly gal but the smoke report early isn't bad. Still haven't researched the female and male used to breed this Skunk, I hope it's Super! SS
Parents should be: #1 Skunk to Afghani, Male is Afghani? Oh well, the smoke report will tell the tale. It's a big gal, just ugly to me,Ha!

But it does look like a skunk, thru and thru.......
There's a lot of strains out there that have skunk parentage at some point in their development so what you're saying doesn't surprise me at all.
