Mr.G’s Greenpoint Grow

Not having luck with the SE5000 reliability,😣 might have to swap it out for something else I have in storage. Last se5000 that had issues was warranty replaced with a downgrade sf4000, but working well. Plants seem to be getting enough light for now. IMG_6319-compressed.jpegIMG_6318-compressed.jpeg

Lol.

That's some bullshit.

Dirtbag had issues with his on its first grow too, IIRC.
His light issues were different, some loose wires I think. I’ve tried everything I can tweak on mine, keep in mind this is my second unit to have issues, granted both lights were promotional. I’ve had better luck with the board style fixtures, just don’t like the heat they give off.

Shot of the upper tent setup, pardon my cable management.

Strong first week of flower complete. Still feeding every other day @600ppm, and got a shot of pk boost to help initiate flowering. Humidity at lights off is a concern, dehum running constantly, and still up to 70rh. Need to remove some leaves to get things under control, and maybe turn up the lights off temps. I’ve been pulling a leaf here and there, but I need to take more. Bumped the hurricane up to increase airflow for now.

Favourite plant in the room is this Purple Blizzard.

Stretched about 6” this week.

I’m trying to heed other forum members advice and not stress them out too much.
Keep the ladyboys in Thailand.
typically I wait for budset to be complete before doing a major defol, but my hand may be forced this time. PM is worse.

If the genetics are solid, I think you're fine to go at it, or remove one layer of fans off all and see if that's sufficient.

But I don't know when you stripped last either, and yea I'd usually follow those practices as well.

Right when I think about this too I think which is more stressful pulling leaves off the plant or humidity and air flow issues? Seems like either could be considered stress

Plants actually look happier after a cleanup, time will tell.
I know some of the other budbuilders are blowing hot and cold smoke at greenpoint, and some may be warranted, but I won’t form an opinion till the buds are in the bags.
If they do herm at this point, I dunno, can’t be all growers fault.
I realize these are “tester” genetics, and with that comes some risks, but so far, these are the most vigorous plants I’ve grown in 5 years.

I grew out the first tester run of the MaxAc out of the pack I got 2 great phenos. One has really nice vanilla terps the other leaned a little more gassy. They were really easy to grow, had a major heater malfunction and I still didn't get a single herm in the tent. This was the #2 the vanilla one. Gu uses the second photo on the websiteimage.jpg

Solid. I’ve heard good results from others here as well about MaxAc, been a really simple plant to keep happy. Purple blizzard has been a bit more needy, and 2 of the plants have fallen behind the others by 6”, so I’ll put some risers in to even them out. Nice strong tops with good node spacing. I just finished 2 platinum ice and 2 ice cream cake from GP w no issue. Platinum ice was one of the frostiest, stickiest, nastiest purple and green plant I've seen in person. I'm new to indoor and if anyone would herm...it'd be me lol. I don't smoke so no report there.
Carry on and good luck, I'm along for the ride. They look great!

Similar results here with MaxAC. 2 phenos and no hermies. I don't know of any maxac grows that have hermied since most here have grown it.
Very ez to grow indicas. I'd give it a 6/10. Lacked the potency I crave in a hard hitting indica but taste and smells were good.
Tested samples from my grow and another and she hit 16% and 18% THC consistently which is on the low side but also not terrible.

Pulled a couple more handfuls of leaves, probably should take some more weaker branching as well, might do some later today.
Hung another 200w of lighting in the corner over the shortest plants. I’m hoping the stretch is nearly complete, budset is ok, I’m sure it will fill in once the stretch is done and I do a bigger defoliation.

I ran sf1000 early on and loved them. Never grew with the bar style. Aqua did and liked them. Also freebies.

Your plants always look perfect man. You got this grow style down to a science. What is it with you Canadians seems like it is in your dna to make growing look easy.

That’s interesting your co2 spikes when working in there. I never noticed that here.

I’ve never grown gps so I got no dog in that fight. It will be very interesting to hear your final vote tho. If you wanna see some fireworks win potm with gps lol.

I’m not seeing the humidity issue? 58% max can’t tell the min but probably 50%? Seems dialed in to me. Are you just prone to pm where you live?

He was around 70rh

Which, ime, I think is fine with sufficient airflow and proper temps to match, but stage of growth as well..

Environmental parameters have been pretty stable for the last week, been pretty consistent since the beginning actually.
PM never really been an issue for me, but don’t wanna invite it as flowering progresses.
Here’s a pulse graph for the last week.

What nutrient lineup and additives you using bud.i like taking the bottom branches off early in veg around 3 weeks and bottom leaves when they are only tiny .makes a little easier to water them.they don’t even bat an eyelid.i like to do my shopping early.

I took a lot of the lower branching before flip as well, always take more in early flower as things develop. I usually remove most branching that’s smaller than a #2 pencil and won’t grow anything worthwhile.
I’m still running Diablo nutrients, lots of bottles, but more ability to be a mad scientist and give what I think needed.
I don’t use everything on this chart, but at least 10. IMG_6433.jpeg
