Hydroton sterilization: Instapot?

Can I just throw a bunch of this in an old Instapot to sterilize it?

Only thing I am really worried about is the shit breaking apart. Think I'm gonna try it with a small batch.

i don't see why not, but I'd bake it personally. 350F in the oven for an hour will kill just about anything on or in it.

I gave mine a peroxide soak and then a good rinse and another soaking with just RO.

First run was a success. Or at least it didn't break up or otherwise seem to harm it. Ran it 15 min on high then another 15 natural pressure release.



Doing the rest now. I have some Tom Thumb lettuce sprouts that are going to need a new home very soon.
