Stoney's Luv Shack

Magic happened

that a cool story man... life always finds a way!!!

I'm all about the edibles, but they really surprise me sometimes. Normally I have to give them roughly an hour to get going, but it's a long-lasting high. I've had some crazy one-offs here and there, tho. I've gone so long, like a few hours, thinking I had some duds, then Whammo! I've also had some commercial stuff be very consistent only to get randomly get weird results. Either duds or hang on tight. Not long ago, I had some hit hard. I was locked into the couch watching people pass through the room just hoping against hope that nobody would stop and try to talk to me. The family ended up going to town. When I told them about it later, they thought I was just watching tv. I'm just an easy high sometimes. My kids will eat 500mg like it's nothing. I'd be chopping that into multiple doses.

i like the unknown when eating edibles!! one time its a little weak and the next is like a freight train!!!!!! my favorite way is to wake up a couple hours early and take them and fall back to sleep,, waking baked!!!!

my project was a success... put the decarbed bud in the MB2, added the jar of oil and some sunflower lecithin..

023.JPG

it almost clarified it in a way, it never goes back to a solid after filtering it out.

012.JPG

i made more gummies... these molds are perfect size!!! those bear ones i got years ago were so tiny. i like these better!!

008.JPG

best part is when your done you get to lick the bowl and spoon!!!!! and get all the little dots left over on the molds!!!! hahaha

009.JPG010.JPG

these turned out to be the best i ever made so i'm going to stick with this recipe for a while!!! nothing special about it but if anyone is interested i'll gladly type it out!!! ....got a few days worth!!! hahahaha

I’m tempted but probably don’t have what I need to make it. Edibles are hit and miss for me. Either do nothing or make me tired. Made me nauseous once or twice but I felt more then.

So…they look really good. How do you refrain from eating more when you get the munchies? I tend to devour gummies when high. 🤣

I'd love to have the recipe! I've been struggling with my edible game......

Are you using gelatin?

Always looking for a great gummy recipe without gelatin.i tried agar agar 🤢

it's crazy how everybody gets different reactions.. i've heard people say they didn't get high their first time from smoking. i wonder if edibles are the same way??

i get pretty torn up from them.. i mean i also eat pretty much too. modern stuff with mg's written on it takes me 600-800mg's to feel anything. 1000 and i'm torn up. if i had to judge mine i would say around 100mg per piece. i slept like a baby on five!!!

but they don't taste good, tastes like a medicine. and rule #1 put them away after taking them!! don't just let em sit out on the coffee table staring you down!!! hahaha

I'd love to have the recipe! I've been struggling with my edible game......

in the past i would struggle getting everything mixed well.. i think all this time i had been adding it in the wrong order. or maybe i just got lucky and it has nothing to do with the order.. hahaha

Driver, i sent out a goodie box for you today!! i'll send ya a tracking # when i get home later.

yes sir, flavored and non flavored. i was very tempted to try an agar agar recipe because i do have some here on hand but after reading your post a few weeks ago i decided to take the safe more travelled route!!! hahaha

i got a goodie bag sent out today for you as well!!!!!!!!

Recipe...

so i kind of got messed up when i bought the coconut oil.. i got the correct kind (refined) but it said in the description it was 30oz so i figured okay, close enough to a quart i'll prepare for that.. then i get the jar and it says only a pint.. or maybe less.. idk.. shady if ya ask me!!! anyway i only used four of the eight ounces of flower for this "pint" of oil...

002.JPG

ingredients needed:

1/2 cup infused coconut oil
3oz box of jello, any flavor
1oz of unflavored gelatin
1/2 teaspoon of sunflower lecithin
1/2 cup of cold water

items i used:

small saucepan
small hot plate
whisk and spoon
large syringe
silicon candy molds

directions:

i used a hot plate to keep the heat low, my gas burner is hot and requires work to keep the heat low. i put the 1/2 cup of oil in the saucepan and got it pretty warm (around 100F)

then i slowly whisked in the jello mix. constantly stirring and letting it incorporate right as i add it.. pour slow..

then add the non flavored gel in the same way, never stop stirring. and pour slow, these came in four little packets so i added each packet one by one. only time i stopped stirring was to tear open the packets. then right back to stirring!

next the lecithin, it's a tiny amount so dump it in, it will mix fast.

keep stirring and add the cold water.

never let the mixture boil. if you see foam take it off the burner right away for 5-10 seconds all while constantly stirring. in fact if i even saw steam rising up i lifted it off for a few seconds.

after a few minutes it will be hot and well blended. slightly thicker than water. once here, turn off the heat and let the sauce pan sit on the burner.

use the large syringe to suck up the hot liquid and carefully put it in the molds. this took me maybe four or five syringe fills, the sauce pan stays hot on the burner and i just gave it a good stirring in between each syringe filling. the further you down and cooler it gets the tougher it gets to work with. when done put the molds in the freezer or fridge. once hard pop them from the molds and enjoy!!!

Thanks man!
Yeah i should prob try again with the agar agar tbh. Just tasted like shit, but i guess that could me masked with some flavoring, and i couldn't get it to firm anything like gelatin. If there was another vegan way to do it i would try it.

i only used it for mushroom agar plates and tubes.. but it stays firm like a jello shot. maybe give it a try again..

it's just fruit puree, agave nectar, and agar agar... correct? and infused with a tincture, right? i think i have all those things in the house here,, i might give it a try!!

Yeah firm and slimy like a jello shot was what i got, probably need to try again, now that i have rosin press. Can't i use rosin to make concentrates? I need to look into it but haven't yet, also I've never made a tincture, probably should have used that instead of infused oil 🤦‍♂️

Please keep me updated if you get it to work out!! Usually i just make chocolates or hard candy which isn't a cake walk either lol, but at least i got those two down to a science

you can definitely use squish to make a tincture from. i assume the tincture would be the last thing added to the mixture and left hot enough to evaporate all the ethanol.

is all agar agar the same? or are there variations of it?

hey guys i'm looking for a little help here. some of my plants are starting to have an issue.. mostly the privileged baddies but not exclusively. they've been in this soil for almost two weeks now and only had water.

needs some K or Mg maybe? you guys think i should feed them a little?

I would guess calcium deficiency on the speckled one and maybe potassium on the other.

Just a guess.

it came on slow, not all at once. it's why i'm thinking a deficiency. a few days ago i thought it bugs, after a quick heart attack i realized it wasn't. but now today it's worse.

maybe i should brew up some tea tonight...

i put all this in the brewer for tomorrows feed...

Nice! I'm going to have to look up Fertile Urchin.

I don't know what to think of mycorrhizae in teas. I haven't been adding it to my teas, because I read somewhere that it doesn't do well in teas. Then I started adding some Recharge, this year. My teas seem to get ready quicker since adding that in and one of the ingredients is mycorrhizae.

What have you learned about it? You must see something good to be using it. Makes me wonder if I should add some in to the mix on top of whatever amount is in the Recharge.

that sea urchin is a great source for calcium.. lasts quite a long time. smells like sea pussy!!! hahaha

i'm a big fan of adding the great white in the tea.. i know i did it right when the next day i see lots of microbial activity!!!

I got this too 😞, i got behind on my change schedule and realized i need to bump up the cal mag more next time at flip, only One plant out of the 2 doing this for me, must have higher needs then the other one, so cool how different strains need a little tweak.

Next grow will be a mono grow, or whatever it's called when they are the same strain, for me for sure

very cool that you also think it's cal or mag. if it ends up improving after this bump then i'm never gonna use this new crab meal again i might have to go back to new pricy neptunes again. since i skimp on new soil i can't be skimping on additives and nutes!

i'm gonna feed them in a few minutes here and see how they look tomorrow. they don't look any worse right now so thats a good thing!

I did a brief look around on the Internet, last night. I found quite a bit of info or research pointing to sea urchin's value to horticulture. It was a brief poke around the Web, but I didn't see any products using with sea urchin waste or parts in the mix pop up. I only found the brand you shared in one eBay shop. Good chance I missed something, but I wasn't finding anything the easy way. What I did read sounded great. Seems to be great for balancing pH, in addition to the nutrient value. I'm a real sucker for trying stuff thats "new to me". So, I loved seeing it in your photo.

Awesome! That photo says it all. Once again, I've fallen victim to bad info off of the Internet. This may very well be the ingredient that makes the Recharge work so well for me.

My outdoor plants got some tea Saturday and the veggies and flowers got it this evening. I'm going to have to set up a bigger brewer for outdoors next year. I think the bucket I use now is 7 gallons. I could easily make use of 20-30 gallons. This might disgust you, but I could even see going bigger and getting one of those sprayers that you tow behind your mower to spray the grass. That would surely require more mowing 🤪

now why would you wanna go and do that?!?! hahaha

my local hydro shop has a big vortex brewer, prolly holds 50 gallons.. the dude that owns it is way cool too. if ya take your own jugs he gives ya all the tea ya want for free!!!!

I'm jealous of both of ya'll, lol. I need to get into the gummy making game.

back when we made jello shots with booze we would always use twice the jello and no water all booze. i think i wanna try that with the gummies. no unflavored gelatin, just two packs of jello and no water just infused oil. i'll let y'all know if it actually works. from what i tested the little dots i made are about 25mg's each. i'd like them to be 100mg's each like the other gummies i buy...

the ecowitt sensors seem to working great. put a battery in them and they auto connect. then calibrate them both dry and fully soaked in water and that's it!!

i put all 12 in plants and we'll see how they work.

i really like the layout, shows me all 12 sensors at one time. you can set alarms, notifications and stuff. full graphs for everything. you can rename them but i just put a label on them from 1 to 12.

check this stuff out.. you can make your own molds!! 3d print a BB logo and make bud builder gummy molds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so it didn't take me long at all to know that i like the ecowitt soil moisture sensors. so much so that i went ahead and bought the last four i needed to have all my pots monitored... something else i didn't mention, not that they're really needed but the instruction book is actually written very well and explains everything about them. large print and easy to comprehend too. one other tip, a smart device is needed to set the calibration and other options. the web page from a browser will not. and the firmware also must be done from a smart device. without the firmware upgrade it will only work with 8 sensors. once upgraded it reads all 16.
