And from what I gather.. 10-12% is around ideal for nugs

I haven't played with mine yet on this harvest. Last one seemed to be about right when I threw it in the grove bags at 12%. They were funky nugs and it was hard to get a good reading though.

I'm also looking forward to storing in the trol. Grove bags in a dry basement won't keep the byds fresh. They dry out in a couple weeks. I suppose I should get me some bovedas.

I bought a couple wood moisture meters for testing my grows.

Used it once or twice on weed, but have tested every wall and piece of floor molding in the entire house

Obvious mold on a couple buds but I didn’t inspect them all. Third tray down before I noticed and then I found anouther on the bottom tray. It's all stuffed in Grove bags for now.

I did factory settings and kept it on the dry cycle for 2 extra days. It never saw below 70%. Then I ran the cure cycle a day long. It finally got below 65% in the last 2 days and was sitting around 62% when I pulled everything.

I wafted the door a couple time a day and even pulled the trays all the way out when I went into cure.

Does bleach take out mold? I emptied the thing so I could chop my remaining plants. Looks like I'll be hand drying one so I don't stuff the thing too full this time.

5 days should have had you at 62% before cure.
Not sure if new model runs the same as old.

Nah not crunchy. 10 days in the Cannatrol and then into the bags for storage while I chopped the other plants.

They feel done and smoke great. Wife just said "well should we roll a moldy"

There's a possibility. I didn't see any signs beforehand, though. I usually have a pretty good eye and mold wigs me out so it has me extra paranoid with the fattest nugs.

I'll look real close when I chop the next two plants tomorrow. I'll probably only put one in the trol this time.

Man it was stuffed to the max. Like puzzle-pieced in there. I don't know what 13.5 dry equates to wet, but I know it's WAY ovwr their 2.2 pound recommendation.

Yea roughly you may have been 1 lb over the limit.

Be real careful smoking it.
You got enough to chuck whatever is questionable.

I thought I had heard of extracting with alcohol being the only safe recourse, but upon search I found nothing.
Maybe I didn't look properly.

The other half should end up fine. 1 plant went in the Cannatrol and the other is hanging in the tent the same way I used to dry. The Trol is half a packed as the last attempt so I think we should be golden. The stuff in the tent is what it is with no temp control. It'll be fine.

We've been breaking apart nugs with eagle eyes. If I find a bit of mold, we toss the whole nug and try again. So far I've only found 1 moldy nug that made it into the smoking jar. We'll risk it until this next batch dries. Fuck it.

If the individual nug is not compromised then okay, disregarding particle and wave theory.


But if you don't feel comfortable then just trash it or extract it.

I can say upgrade you're air flow power

Or we can look at you're room dimensions, math out the CFM, correlate to proper VPD for high growth rate cannabis

Yeah, you can definitely extract it and separate and purify

Found 3 nugs with obvious mold as I was unloading it for the next round. Found mold in one of the nugs we've brought up for smoking. I'm keeping a watchful eye on anything that gets broken up now.

a little extra prevention you can do next time is also let the buds dry a little extra before the grove bags. i found mine turns out the best when i bag it up after i think it's too late almost. like i feel the buds and think damn i might have over dried.. when i get that feeling thats when my cures turn out the best.

you buds should be dry enough that it makes a tiny mess on the table from you bagging it up. crispy or crunchy is the way i would describe it.

They actually recommend a 24 hour hang dry prior to loading it up. Might have to try that next time.
