Tent batch dried. 8 ounces there so 21.5 total. Waiting in the Cannatrol's load for a final weight. Then everything will get put into grove bags and stuffed in the troller for a controlled cure.

Best harvest so far and there's still a plant to weigh.
Best harvest if I disregard the mildy buds......

Anything bigger than beer bottles puts me in mold prevention mode during ripening and after harvest but as mentioned I wash buds too then let drip dry with a fan blowing hard on them right after cutting down. After an hour or so I don't see any fresh spots of water below I dry as usual. Not sure if that would help ya but washing is something that could help in prevention.

Something to consider for sure.

I usually break down the big ones. After this go at it, I realize that my aspirations are too big for the Cannatrol.

Future runs will be dried in the tent. I should have a minisplit installed for that. That aughta improve on my hang-dries. Then I'll cure in grove bags stuffed in the Cannatrol. It just can't handle my harvests.

If the plant that I'm drying in there right now turns out to be way better than the hang dry, maybe I'll consider a bigger unit when they hit the market.
Probably not though.. even if it's 3x the size of the little one.. it won't hold my harvests.

It's gonna be a wasted investment if it'll only do one plant at a time...

Depending on how large your plants are that may just be how it goes.
I like to think when I grow different strains that I can pull the earliest finisher and controllably dry it while still using the room to continue the finish grow.
I have grown almost 20 plants at one time and there is no way I get even 20% of that [ 4 plants ] in the cannatrol but I like the thought I can pull the first one or two when it is done.

I prefer drying in my room.

Terrible update because I don't have any pictures but I do have a final weigh in..

Front two plants netted 13.5 ounces. That's the batch I overloaded in the Trol and ended up with mold.

Back 2 plants were dried separately. 1 went in the Trol and 1 into baskets hung in the tent.

Tent plant ended at 8 ounces after a 4 day dry at basement temps with 58% humidity. Trol plant yielded 8.5 ounces after a 4 day dry with a 4 day cure.

30 ounces total from my 5x5. Most definitely a personal best, almost doubling my previous high.

I can throw out the moldy and still smoke over a pound of good good.

Frosty as hell and tastes good after the minimal cure. Super stoney-baloney too. I had to walk my wife through ordering at the Wendy's drive-thru last night.

I'll get some pictures loaded up soon. Either tonight or tomorrow, or maybe when I come back in a week or two with a final smoke report.

I'll be taking a little break after this run. I'm tearing everything down and packing it all up because we'll be giving free roam to some HVAC guys in the next week or two. Need a new AC but we'll be having them quote me a new furnace and whole house filter and maybe a new softener with a bigger pressure tank.

Next run will be totally revamped and rebuilt with all the extra goodies I got from the Mr. Red himself. Sad to shut it all down for a while but I'm super stoked to start fresh with new build.

You use H2O2 or just dip in clean water? I’ve one been but twice by bud rot. Once indoor and once outdoor. Still twice to many.

Lemon juice or baking soda and I use three 5 gallon buckets. I like lemon juice because it's not really foreign to cannabis since they share terp profiles and chemicals.
1st bucket is 1 cup of lemon juice to 5 gallons of water. Next two buckets are just clean water for a double rinse.
Branch by branch I dip in the lemon juice bucket and swirl it around for about minute then lift and drain. Do the same with the next two buckets.
The last bucket in line should stay clean so if it dirties up then more washing or better rinsing in the first two buckets is needed.


Bud rot happens to me during the grow. IDK if my situation is unique or not but if I didn't use the array of fans I do I'd lose every harvest. There's a total of 12 fans in my room and six are there for the sole purpose of preventing bud rot in the colas. Sounds and seems like overkill but that's what it takes for my situation.

Gotta ramble about something I've been seeing lately I'd share from the dooshbag capitol of America..The rubber ducks don't seem to just be for Jeeps anymore. I'm seeing them on the dashes of subarus, land rovers, and that Mercedez suv that looks like a landrover. A hummer had big ones, like the size of footballs on the dash.
People are leaving the tiny kind in parks and greenbelts and now the city is asking them to stop because it's littering and some are so small they could be swallowed by animals.
And BTW, you're right. When I sold my Wrangler, a chick bought it

Man a multi-strain run sounds cool, but you can't beat a full harvest from 4 healthy clones. Even when they went wonky, I got over a pound. With the good genes, 2 lbs. Mix wonky and good genetics and the wonky ones get tossed.

I'll go multi-strain when I have 4 proven moms to pull clones from.

Man a multi-strain run sounds cool, but you can't beat a full harvest from 4 healthy clones. Even when they went wonky, I got over a pound. With the good genes, 2 lbs. Mix wonky and good genetics and the wonky ones get tossed.
