Nah , I have not...I've got a full house for another few weeks.Stem rubbed the Indigo Sapphire this morning... phew that's gonna be a stinky one. Surprisingly it smells very similar to the Kitchen Sinks that are flowering now.
@doublej did you plant any of these? I think it's gonna be a raunchy strain.
Pungent and hard to describe but it's got a hint of dirty dishrag to it. Sharp. Stingsss the nostrilsI'm liking the reports tho. It's on my list for this next go
I'm having a lot of fun with it. Hopefully it'll also root clones no problem.Really liking this ebb & flow hydro system, kinda wanna do something like it.
This one's easy. Pretty hands-off, easy to set up and relatively cheap. The fittings cost the most but, including the tent, I spent less than $200 to build it. I guess a bit more than that if you wanna count the light.I'll run multiple, different grow systems/styles when I get back up
I forget what the cross is...Pungent and hard to describe but it's got a hint of dirty dishrag to it. Sharp. Stingsss the nostrils

You should have no issues cloning in that as long as there's no contamination and %rh env can keep water in the plants till they spit their own roots in a few days.Pungent and hard to describe but it's got a hint of dirty dishrag to it. Sharp. Stingsss the nostrils

Imperium X x Violet Fog.I forget what the cross is...
Well fingers crossed. I've got 18 cuttings total, so I should get at least 4 viable plants of the deal. You should have no issues cloning in that as long as there's no contamination and %rh env can keep water in the plants till they spit their own roots in a few days.
or I guess, in theory too, if there touching the water constantly the hydrostatic pressure will/should move water up? Not 100% on that info

Looks like it’s not getting any water. Nice roots bud, six days is amazing for your setup.3 out of the 4 Indigo Sapphires have rooted. 6 days. Hell yeah!

The 4th isn't looking so hot... I'm thinking it wasn't pushed down into the collar far enough. It looks pretty sad but I'm hoping it bounces back.

Roots in 6 days is WAY better than the 21 it took me last time. Rooted just sitting in the same grow nutes as their mama.
Hell yeah, I didn't think it would take long in there.3 out of the 4 Indigo Sapphires have rooted. 6 days. Hell yeah!

Back side is the supply and the front side is the return. I 90'd into the back side to restrict flow a bit and the front side has the big ball valve. I can open/close it to fine tune the water level.I'm confused on this part
Edit: figured it out? The back side returns the water back to the res?
The front side pumps water up
Ohh ok thanksBack side is the supply and the front side is the return. I 90'd into the back side to restrict flow a bit and the front side has the big ball valve. I can open/close it to fine tune the water level.
A little Danner pump. 250 gphWhat kind of pump?
Thanks manA little Danner pump. 250 gph
I don't use the little venturi attachment though.
Where's the graph for scale/ volume of water for a pumps heat to be negligible in a given volume of water.Danner are good pumps that can be run well in line not in the res.
When run in water it is known to raise water temps up to 4 degrees above room temp.
This is alleviated somewhat when run inline out of the water where it can air cool.
Hell yeaGonna need a spot for these things any day now...

What's the light on in there bud?The Indigo clones have taken priority, so everyone in the back got taken out and cloned. I'm just doing one of each. It was getting pretty bushy in there.

Just 10%. I'm sure you could tighten her up if you you crank up the light. What's the light on in there bud?
Ha yeah. She's definitely the star of the show. Her offspring are going into the big tent any day now.Pretty nice Christmas tree there, pretty symmetrical!!
Right on...but I meant what kind of light? Looks like it's doing a good jobJust 10%. I'm sure you could tighten her up if you you crank up the light.

This little setup has been fun, but I'm debating on scrapping it so I can dry in this tent. The Indigo clones are ready for the big show.
There's a couple changes I'll make, mostly concerning light leakage. The supply tubing needs to be black and there's definitely penetration through the pvc. Might spray paint the whole thing...
The Indigo plant thrived, for sure. The Blue Cheese wasn't a big fan of the nute mix and the other two were borderline runts. Perfect little test run and I could probably pop some beans for the next batch any day now. I'll just do 4 strains this time, leaving the the other 4 sites open for clones.
This has been a lot of fun so thanks, everyone, for sharing the experience. I'll keep this thread going, thankfully.

Would you use ABS if you were to do it again? Surprised you think you had light leeks through the PVC.Just 10%. I'm sure you could tighten her up if you you crank up the light.

I would spray-paint itWould you use ABS if you were to do it again? Surprised you think you had light leeks through the PVC.
I just thought it strange as you always see these setups in white PVC and not black ABS. All the ones they sell at grow stores or hardware stores in kits are white too.I would spray-paint it
White PVC doesn't block all light and I can see some algae growth looking in through the plant-sites.
Some of the algae on the roots is from the inlet hose. It's accumulating there pretty heavily and there's likely been some bits break off and flow through the system, catching on roots and stuff.

Yeah I almost expect to never run Veg nutes in the big tent again. These Indigo clones have a nice and healthy root system going. They'd do well to jump straight to flower from the little tent.Been a blast watching you with this project Grump!
IDK if you've considered it or not, but those systems can do incredible things flowering clones. No veg, just straight from clone to flower with yoyo or net support. That thing could be a weed machine with a fat haul every 65 days or so.
Cold temps have really slowed down my clones. One is doing fine, GM, but the rest have yet to show roots. Still a strong green but I’ve had that before only to find it was still a stick. These were cloned 26 days ago and are heading into the big boy tent today

These were cloned 10 days ago and seem to be doing ok... I need to do better monitoring their pH

It’s been a slow grow here too. I got worried and took extras on flower as backups. The backups just started showing roots this weekend, but the originals are doing good now. Even with the heat mat it’s taking a lot longer than normal with a few.Well after nearly a month... we've got a root on my Indigo Sapphire clone. Maybe won't lose these genetics after all.

All of these clones were cut the same day. The bigger three rooted in a week but the Indigo girl took her sweet ass time.
