I'm growing one plant for the summer of 24
Well if you don't count the re-veg out in my yard.
This was the hardest nut I've ever cracked open.
I tried paper towel - 3 days later - nope
I went to my secondary method - soil
I used the same seed as I was not going to give up on her.
I also used Gibberellic Acid.
Followed the directions and put 2 spoons (sm spoon included in the package)
which is supposed to bring it up to 400 ppm in a 500ml bottle of purified water.
Nope!
So put in a few more, got it up to 227 ppm.
Put seed in soil and gave it a soak.
A few days later......Success! It germ'ed and pushed the seed up and out of the soil.
But wait, that's too easy. Looking closely after a few days went by and the helmet is still on her.
It was sealed and not coming off.
Emergency removal is required immediately.
Got my best tweezers and held on to the staulk with my other hand and crunched the shell.
With a little bit of pull, I finally got it off.
It's been one week since I put her in soil and this is where she's at now.
Except ......... For the Flies!!
I have no idea how they got in my sealed grow room??
But there they were, Lots of them!!
I sprayed but there were too many of them and it didn't kill on contact sooooo
I used my fly paper that I saved for thwerps or any other bug I used to have.
Must have got 50 and that doesn't include what I swept up off the floor and table!
It's like something died in there lol I still have no idea how they are getting in.
I finally put a screen over the exhaust incase they were coming in from the chimney, the intake already has a screen.
I was using my 4 light T5 but one bulb went out and after not much growth from C99
Today I switched to my TS1000 (140w) @ 25% and 16" above.
That's where I'm at now with C99
I did try to start 3 Strawberry Banana seeds (unfem'ed)
but they would not germ. Gave up on them.
One good thing is the FP 2.0 Re-Veg is doing nicely outside
I re-potted her into a 10g cloth pot.
I am really happy with her growth and she looks good.
I wanted to put her into the ground but with the new fence going up, I might need to move her to keep from prying eyes
