Haven't grown anything since 2019, and the itch just got to be too much.

I have no plan, no clean growspace ready, don't even have anything to plant these in yet. But I hope that by getting some seeds wet and starting a journal, it might get me motivated lol.

Likely going to grow these outdoors, maybe full term, possibly in a greenhouse, but I might also finish them under lights in my growshed. See how it goes.

Here we go. A dozen Dragons stash red in the drink. I've been excited to grow these since I got them, my absolute favourite flavor profile is berries, and from what I've read these should be good if I can take them to the finish line.
Updates will be sporadic, as this one won't be finished until the fall. 20240310_141349.jpg20240310_141145.jpg

Hells yeah brother, I just dropped 6 of his Garlic Stash v21 beans in solos this morning 💪🏼

I let the seeds sit in the shotglass of water overnight and they all quickly sank to the bottom with a gentle tap this morning. Perfecto 👌

I dont really like the paper towel thing, but I still don't have any media to plant these in yet. So for now, damp paper towel it is. On a plate, inside a zip lock bag on top of the fridge.
I'll grab something to stick them in today. Not sure yet if I'll get rapid rooters? or just plant into a pro-mix seed starter mix. Decide when I get to the hydro store.

Getting kinda pumped about this. Forgot how much I love growing weed 😆.
Couldn't find anything resembling a rapid rooter anywhere, so went with Plan B. Always had good luck starting seeds in the organic promix stuff. 20240311_162245.jpgAlso picked up a replacement lamp for a T5, all they had were $$LED conversions, so I guess I'm trying one of these out.20240311_162229.jpg

Feeling pretty rusty still, but loving that I'm finally getting something going. Not holding myself to the same standards as the shed days, but it should be fun nonetheless.
Time to get some root down!

Here goes nothing. 🤞 wish me luck boys and gals.

Tomorrow I'll dig out the lamp and timers, heat mat, fan etc, get this shit set up. Hopefully see sprouts in a few days.
Real curious how the T5 LED conversion looks. Betting its pimp ass for seedlings.

Was looking through some of my old grow pics tonight, figured id put up a little throwback porn. This platinum cookies plant was such a fuckin beast. Wish I still had it. Tops were always so chunky and frosty on her. Smelled like pure diesel fuel.Screenshot_20240311-221852_Imgur.jpgScreenshot_20240301-095720_Imgur.jpgScreenshot_20240301-095756_Imgur.jpg

I have to say, the LED conversion fixture for the T5 nanotech is fucking SICK! It is seriously lit.
Might actually be TOO bright for these seedlings. I have an old standard lamp that still works I might use for the first week post emergence, but then this bad boy is going in. Looks like it gives off about the same light output as 3 of the old T5 lamps combined. Incredibly intense for a single 36" bar.
I think I'm going to like this thing. Might grab another one lol. I think it'll be wicked for doing herbs and lettuce and shit indoors also. 20240311_231212.jpg20240311_230938.jpg

The light output is impressive. Pic doesn't really do it justice, but it lights up the whole damn room. The old T5 didn't come close to this.20240311_230935.jpg

LED's have come a long way.

Good to see you throwing some in Dirtbag.running the spiderfarmer along side the hps or looking at another light to run..

These are gonna be grown under the sun my man. I might finish flowering them in the shed under spiderfarmers though. The shed frankly takes too much commitment and resources for me to bother with these days. I'm too busy.
I've recently put up a privacy fence at my house so I can grow these right in my front yard in big pots of promix. Keeping it simple.

Oh hell yeah, sun grown DFG 😎
definitely in for this ride.
I'm gonna be running some dfg outside this summer too.

Blackberry Moonshine f1 made by @Moshmen
Interstate Dragon
Maybe a couple clones of Cherry Pie x Modified Macberry Moonshine too

I'm hoping for the best, but prepared for whatever happens. Outdoor is always a gamble with weather and pests.
But I chose to do the DFG dragons stash specifically because Jeff bred this line outdoors in the PNW just south of me. It should be a good candidate for genetics that play well with my local climate.
The only season I'm iffy about is the last month of flowering, depending when these start to flower. We lose sunlight in our yard in late Sept when the sun drops below the treeline across the street. That's also when our weather usually turns to shit.

So the tentative plan, is grow these outdoors into big healthy bushes and then either let them start flowering outside and finish indoors, or just veg them outside and run the whole flower cycle indoors. Probably the former, just to save electricity and not stress them out too much.

Also going to be keeping my eyes out for one of the legendary big red males. If I see a nice male standout I'm gonna keep it at a different location and keep some pollen, maybe dust a couple branches of the nicest female. I'll get a shit ton of variation, but given the line, all should be decent quality. Possibly even a few real winners.

Another throwback strain, Sin City's Spiked Punch.
This beauty was meant to be a keeper, but I got the cutting mixed up with wedding crasher and kept the wrong clone. Wedding crasher was 9/10 in all aspects other than flavour. This spiked punch had it all. This was one amazing flower, so tasty and the frost was unbelievable. Did your avatar man just get a perm haha..yeah I like that spiked punch.looks killer.there was another you grew at the same time I thino it was an officers name .like Sargent..
it’s funny when you grow a same strain indoors that has a more calyx to leaf ratio ,throw it outdoors and it grows leafier.i love outdoor grown.down here on Gilligans island is perfect to grow cannabis.can’t grow the longer flowering sativas though..if I bring mine up early indoors to give them a better start (first month) when they go out they will start to flower.so I just throw them straight outside amongst the elements.first month is slow af but after that ..Whoosh..what pot size you going.
