Rockwool has it's place but I give my nod to coco and especially the wicked blend of coco/perlite at 50/50, 60/40, or 70/30.
I can do things with that medium that's pretty much unheard of in others and it's super inexpensive...I put about $100 into my blend almost a year ago and still working off that. Like $100 setting me up for four or five grows, 9 plants each grow using 3 gallons of the mix per plant. Just gotta triple rinse it all first before using.

changed my tires on my atv today... i already had the tires from a while back and kept dragging my feet getting them mounted well turns out the bike shop wanted $40 per tire!!!!! fuck that!! so i bought a bead buster and changed them out by myself... the bead buster cost me $150 but now i can change out all the tires i want!!!!

little tool worked really awesome. atv beads are tough sob's and it slid em off like a prom dress!!!!



ready for mud season now!!!!!!!! took me about three hours by myself to change all four. first one took a while, second one went easier, by the fourth one i was a pro. the last one only took like ten minutes, and that included taking the rim over to the water spigot and washing off all the green slime.



the old ones were pretty shot... hehe

You won't find much love for gamblers from me man. Seen that shit ruin lives like alcohol but more so that group, other than teenage girls, is what keeps the tampon business alive and well. And that's been my response to those guys.
When ever those fucks are waiting after a game which we won and they're mad because we didn't cover a spread, I tell them the tampons are on aisle 8 and walk away. I'll probably still get that guy on etsy to do a body for me but for now I'm gonna do my own version of the hot pickle car.
Will go with a green and black scheme instead of green and white and I also have some good looking flame decals on the way so yeah, pickles and fire on a green and black Ford Pony.

My wife's 19 car will stay stock...she still can't go full throttle yet so she's stuck at 75% on a 2s...freaking girls man....but I'm dropping the brushless motor kit into mine and also ordered up the dirt and wet weather tires for us.

ditto from this family!! we have gambling all around us here.. it's such a waste. alantic city isn't far from me and there's a big casino right at the edge of the next town like ten minutes from my house... i've never stepped foot in there!!! never will!! i ignore it so much that i honestly don't even know the name of it. i'll never go to a show or a restaurant there and they can suck it!!!

and the absolute worst part is people around here think it's cool. not me.

Casinos weird me out man. They smell like tanning oil and cigarette smoke and usually super cold. Hideous carpet too. I have a weird thing in me where I believe every card dealer moonlights as a creepy mortician and is related to that guy from the Phantasm movies.
I've been to Vegas like 5 times, 2-3 days each time and I've only gambled away $10.
That was just because I had sent my wife to stripper class for 2 hours and I had nothing to do but wander around.
Decided to sit at a slot and see how long it would take before I was offered a free drink by a hostess. $10 in the slot, few minutes later I was asked if I wanted a drink, said yes and got it then left. Tipped her $5 anyways just for the experience and even though it was just coke. That was my big gamble in Vegas.
The places I go in that town, you'd never know gambling was legal. You pretty much have to walk thru casinos to get to everything but other than that I avoid them just because of how they smell.

The little track I used to go to as a kid had lots of squirrels living in the stacks of tires so it got pretty interesting sometimes early on but by the time the mains were happening ,they either stayed in those tires or had run for the tree line a few hundred yards away.

we have slot machines in gas stations around here. i've never played one. theres some loophole that says if they don't pay out they can have them. they must all cheat though because no way people are sitting there for hours on end to play a video game!!

i hate loopholes.. just a way to say i know what i'm doing is wrong.

we also have horse racing places here too. no actual tracks or horses but places that show it on tv everyday. it's called the pocono downs, i haven't gone there since my 20's but they had some great food back then.

so i had to buy another min fridge. grrrr!! i have the worst luck with these things.. this is like the fifth one i bought over the past ten years..



i almost messed up all mu concentrates with the old one.. something went bonkers and it went into heating mode!!! i opened it up a couple days ago and it was hot inside!! another $100....

on the flip side and all the good news we have 12 heads up!!!!!!! going in soil tomorrow..



and in other good news i bought a two site fallponics setup!!!! i'm still going to use a large tote as the rez so for now i'll just have an extra bucket and lid but have the option of making a three site setup down the road.

I think we have those same "game rooms". Janky and sketchy AF casinos about the size of a small home. They pop up on the news for things like stabbings, dog fights, prostitution, and drugs. We also have "massage parlors" that are Chinese brothels. One is at the end of my street since I kinda live at the far end of Happy Ending Mile, a long chain of them in one area for some reason.
There's also that same kind of horse racing track but no racing, just TVs and betting. Seems super boring to me but really, all gaming is boring to me but whatever. Just happy me or my wife isn't into because damn that shit takes over a life.

Most vape and smoke shops here are actually money laundering spots for the mob with not much inside but janky ass shit from India. There's only like 3-4 true head shops with real glass art and stuff like Puffco but like 5000 mobbed up vape and smoke shops. It's that stuff that makes me think it should all be legal to clean it up like weed in legal states.
So weird you can go play a weird quasi slot machine or video poker, get a handy from a victim of human trafficking, donate to the mob and get a cheap glass spoon to smoke crack in return, and legally buy fucked up shit like kratom but dude, do not grow or smoke weed!!!

Seems refrigerators are pretty much disposable these days. I have two extra stashed at work for that reason. Lucky to get 3 years from one nowadays. I've replaced some just for better looking units and I would typically donate the old one but not anymore so now I find ways to stash them for when the one I'm using goes tits up.

you're absolutely correct, i used to use chopsticks!!! i got these sticks here for tying down the mainline manifolds. they happen to be the cheapest ones i could get, like two bucks if i remember correctly.. i got a whole bag, next goodie box to ya will have some for ya!!

i like to keep them above 1cm if the soil needs watering in after. if the soil is extra moist then i set them in pretty deep, leaves kissing the soil.

when i water them in sometimes a small landslide of mud washes over them and can bury them. if i keep them up about a centimeter they stay above the mud!!

this is my fifth round with the same batteries in the ecowitt sensors.. 11 and 12 had the batteries taken out before flowering that last round. the others have run full runs with the same batts.. i take em out after each round though till i need em again.

i bought the exact same model as the one that just broke. it must have been the power supply in it. the fan didn't work and no lights on the back. the new one doesn't have a built in power supply, the new one has a wall wort.. maybe this will last longer. most of mine broke because of the power supplies. a wall wort i can replace easy. fingers crossed for this one!

this is my fifth round with the same batteries in the ecowitt sensors.. 11 and 12 had the batteries taken out before flowering that last round. the others have run full runs with the same batts.. i take em out after each round though till i need em again.

thats the only way i know how.. sometimes i guide them along side my finger but then i gotta pinch the soil back around them. with the stick i just need to water em in a little and it seals the soil around them.

i bought the exact same model as the one that just broke. it must have been the power supply in it. the fan didn't work and no lights on the back. the new one doesn't have a built in power supply, the new one has a wall wort.. maybe this will last longer. most of mine broke because of the power supplies. a wall wort i can replace easy. fingers crossed for this one!

HMS has it going on with alternative diecasts. I guess they sell because they keep doing it. They should do a bass boat and motorcycle in that scheme. If they made that monster truck in 1:24, I'd have one and I'd display it so it was driving over my wrecked diecasts.
I almost got the 5. It was in my cart but yep I took the rainbow. Just a classic look that I think escapes the culture war bullshit over flags and just screams vintage hot-rod.
I even got a special case for it way back when I ordered it so it had a garage waiting...

their buckets are better but i don't have a drain capable of my system volume downstairs so that feature isn't as attractive to me. to completely drin mine i use a shop vac. current culture rev2 buckets don't require a shop vac they have a false bottom sump to drain from.

i got the current culture bulkhead seals though. my other option is uniseals like i have now. but i saved $10 on the special wrench cus somebody on thingiverse shared the file and i printed one out in tampon whine!!! hahaha

I'm really happy with the Gordon car man! If I ever get a chance I'll get him to sign it. Way better quality than Lionel I wasn't expecting. It's very heavy for it size too.
My side of the home office is looking good and that piece just ads a little extra I'm not sure another car can do. I tried to use the Larson IRL car but it's an odd fit. American stock car and muscle car theme works for what I've come up with.
Larson is repped very well though. I tried to capture his duality with a beat to shit Darlington wall ride car and a pristine elite papaya car. Yin and yang you know!

California, Colorado, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, Hawaii, and maybe a few others are in this category.
Seed banks operating inside those states will be able to stay open but likely only sell to customers inside the state. Much like needing to be a resident of Colorado if I wanted to go up there and buy clones.

The way this law is written states that a company like Growers Choice operating out of California, will not be allowed to sell or ship seeds to other states. There is no lawsuit or injunction in place to stop this. As of now, it will happen November 1st, nation wide.
Some are shutting down now and some will continue as-is but it will be illegal. How it's enforced and prosecuted is a whole other animal.
Irie may be dropping off and I'm not sure to the extent but I've read things about Bodhi getting out too. That was the blaring red alarm for me which got me making plans for after November.

I believe this will cause two side effects. Lots of people will lose jobs with the seed bank businesses being crippled and it will open the door for the "breeder direct" grift to flourish more than ever and cause a seismic change in cannabis.
What you like about cannabis will play a huge part in the new era IMO. If you're into the new trends of cannabis and buying seeds thru social media everything will probably be the same but lots more shitty stuff to sort thru. More hermies, Charlie Brown Xmas tree structures, small black plants, etc. That stuff will flourish in a new black market. Pretty much already is and why some may not notice any change in anything but the old school stuff will become harder and harder to find in seed or flower.

This is one of those pick your battles to win the war things for me so I'll retreat from this one. They aint fuckin' around is how I see it so I'm doing what I shoulda done a long time ago and go hermit kingdom on all this shit by producing everything from seeds to concentrates behind the line of prohibition before that line is drawn again.
I hated that feeling when I saw green tape on a seed order. Now that tape might come with a fucking agent with a warrant attached and that's one FAFO I'm not about to test.
I expect to be cut off from the weed world but am preparing for it so I don't put me or anybody else at risk after November. I do think it's just a legal phase and laws will change again later. This thing swings like a pendulum.


There's been a couple large UC systems for sale at the hydroshop in the used gear for a very long time. They're the original design and even used and old it's still very expensive so yeah I know all about that cost lol.
I believe it's a good buy though because of what you get in the plastic. Food grade, no BPA, no chemical reactions...all of that peace of mind is what comes in that cost.
I haven't seen a grow using non-food grade storage totes yet that hasn't had some sort of weird toxicity issue.

DIY is cheap and all that. Maybe even clever at times but if the plastic aint suitable for agriculture then all that savings by DIYing is wasted trying to fix shit.
I could do the same here. Get any old plastic tray for my flood bed and have issues from drainage to plastic toxins but using ag grade plastics made for this shit, zero issues on that front. The way I see it...$80 worth of good plastic tray saves me from $80 of issues every grow.

man this is 100% why i did this. i have so much questionable stuff in this system and i'm gonna do a total shotgun approach and replace everything with a tried and trued kit!

i've always wanted this style bucket since the very beginning just didn't want to spend so much back then. i always said if i really enjoyed the hydro side i would invest in a better system. it's that time.

i am going to keep using some of my stuff. i will keep my water feed in place, that includes the recirc pump and plumbing. i used the same tubing as in the kit and the same brand and kind fittings as in the kit. except for the bulkheads. i used uniseals for both feed and recirc so i will use the supplied fittings for all the buckets and my rez. i will continue to use the same kind of rez, lots of people use that brand for hydro so i'm not worried on weird material at all. but it will be a brand new one, i will just reuse my lid with all my brackets and lid n stuff.

but there is a list of questionable stuff that i won't be using this time that i am currently using.. maybe i have a cocktail of bad stuff who knows.. some are said to be safe but maybe not all together.. who knows but this is my very last hurrah swing at it man!!!!

man this is 100% why i did this. i have so much questionable stuff in this system and i'm gonna do a total shotgun approach and replace everything with a tried and trued kit!

i've always wanted this style bucket since the very beginning just didn't want to spend so much back then. i always said if i really enjoyed the hydro side i would invest in a better system. it's that time.

i am going to keep using some of my stuff. i will keep my water feed in place, that includes the recirc pump and plumbing. i used the same tubing as in the kit and the same brand and kind fittings as in the kit. except for the bulkheads. i used uniseals for both feed and recirc so i will use the supplied fittings for all the buckets and my rez. i will continue to use the same kind of rez, lots of people use that brand for hydro so i'm not worried on weird material at all. but it will be a brand new one, i will just reuse my lid with all my brackets and lid n stuff.

but there is a list of questionable stuff that i won't be using this time that i am currently using.. maybe i have a cocktail of bad stuff who knows.. some are said to be safe but maybe not all together.. who knows but this is my very last hurrah swing at it man!!!!

I'd say that thing when it was rolled out was good to great in many ways. But it's like the Beverley Hillibillies when they move to Hollywood and they pack all that shit on their car, that's what politicians do with special interest and pork spending so there's shit in there that has nothing to do with farming.
The hemp part was one spoke in the wheel. It was a great thing making money, creating jobs, and generating lots of tax dollars. But it wasn't the right people making money and getting those jobs if that makes sense without diving too deep into what motivates politicians.

That boat kept my grandpa alive and is part of how I came to be here. My mom had a model which my sisters kids destroyed when they were little so the best I could do was hunt down a framed portrait.

That whole display is what's in the background for wife's zoom meeting at work. People thought it was some sort of weird aquarium and my wife said yeah, an aquarium for race cars my husband made. Now a couple are into racing and always ask her about. 1 guy took his family to cota too.
I finally hit with that case for the Gordon but I have two more cases that kinda failed me. Been hard to get it just right and yeah next is to work on more lighting overhead.

Here's the kit I got for the Losi that will take it to 34-37mph on a 2s and around 47-50 with 3s but I hear it's damn near undrivable on 3s and it has more than enough with 2s. I also picked up a pair of 2200mah batteries but they're soft case



But yeah you're right, next upgrade is suspension and I think I wanna drop in all the aluminum upgrades.

It's good and all but nothing beats the cherry! I tried grape and blackberry lemonade and couldn't wait to empty them so I could go back to cherry!

That does seem like a lot of stuff that could react and cause issues in your grows. Regular PVC is fine but I think CPVC is a problem. Uniseals should be fine and safe for fish too. The others though like Flex seal would sketch me out.
Some of these nutes have some corrosive ingredients...same stuff we use in industrial laundry detergent many times and the acid as well...that stuff can degrade some plastics and you'll see it sometimes.
I have some nute water stains on my antifatigue flooring and it's kinda eaten at almost like being hit with a brillo pad or sandpaper.
Any kind of metal other than stainless steel or titanium can be toxic as well. One old school remedy was to drop a small nail or thumbtack in a rez to be an iron supplement making up for the magnet in pumps pulling iron from the water but we're decades beyond shit like that. Pumps still do that but we have better iron and calmag all in one fixes today. Aluminum, galvanized metals, and copper are pretty much plant poisons.

Looking forward to seeing you run that thing! You still doing the scrog because systems like that were made to grow monsters?!

i'll have it ready to point that it will be plug and play once i take the old system out. just starting week five of flowering in there, so i got a while!! ha!

CC transactions are closed up but if that's all they're doing then there's other ways to pay. I used to send cash all the time for seeds. I'll use cash app or venmo as well but won't use crypto. In any case though really, I'm already set and insulated quite well.

On products..I can possess and consume but cannot buy or sell. Doesn't say anything about producing or manufacturing! These fucks are acting like it's my first rodeo. Bitch, I built an extraction lab knowing this shit was in the works hahahaha! I really don't think they even considered people would grow thier own.

Back in Decemeber when it looked like this would happen I thought it would create an every man for himself scenario come April and sure enough! Cherry Kool-Aid!!! Best ever!!! The 30% less sugar version diluted to only 1/3 rec is where it's at for me. Tropical punch is good and grape is okay but cherry is the double DD tittie tits.
I have other cherry flavor drink and ice cream flavorings but nothing is as good as old fashioned cherry kool aid. Gotta have the dude on it too, crashing thru the wall with horns up yelling Oh Yeah!!!. That dude is Summer!!! No knockoff store brand or weird Weylers shit, gotta be the guy!! If Jolly Rancher made a mix I'd give it a run but I'm not sure that exists.
I might try to make a pure cane version but for now the canisters with granulated sugar are fine as long as I cut it. Kinda like hydro nutes, bottle strength is way too much! I don't want cherry syrup. Little dab'' do it.
The other mix I run thru is strawberry Arnold Palmer with a mix of strawberry lemonade from costco and cold brew unsweet tea but it's a tricky recipe because there needs to be a minimum sugar content in the mix for it to slush up so if sugar is too low it's wont slush.

Sports drinks are loaded up with so much sugar I can probably cut the Powerade in half and it will still hold flavor and be able to slush. These machines need sugar in the mix to slush up so I can't make an unflavored or unsweetened mix in it.

I've seen stuff about horsepower in headlines but haven't clicked on them. Been lucky just to keep up with check ins and fan rewards man. I've watched every race on DVR and still haven't had the chance to rewatch COTA. Been nice to not have to watch commercials and all the cautions but I'm also watching them like after 9pm and a few at like 2 in the morning.

Are you gonna do the hydraulic screen? I also like the idea of a screen being put into place by the winches and being suspended.
I think you'll be fine though. DWC is a just lot of managing active chaos but if all parts are compatible it's ez AF.
I'm not a fan of mixing brands when it comes to hydro nutes and believe that helps me a ton. Even with supplements. The feed charts works great for me for both product selection and dosage, operating at around 50-75% of rec strength and knowing what's compatible with the formula.
The lack of adjusters or buffers I need is kinda spooky because I'm not so sure I even need to check or adjust pH anymore but I think that may be very unique. Just seems my tap water was made to be turned into hydro nutrients and makes this shit super ez.

yes sir i am!!! they're just electric actuators though, not hydraulic. they're the same things that your moving table uses. after playing around with them i noticed one goes a tiny bit quicker than the other so i might have to do the same thing we do with the winches to get it perfectly level. i don't think it's all that crucial if it's not perfect though anyway so i might not even care.

i'm leaning the lucas and my tap for the first try. that stuff just mixed so easy, i didn't even need a ph adjustment once when using that stuff. my tap and lucas at any strength came out to 5.8 and never moved for weeks at a time. and the recipe is so simple, i still remember the doses in my head!!
makes it very hard to say nah i wanna use something else...

i have it all mocked up on my table downstairs!! can't wait!!!!!

so yesterday morning we upgraded to a newer version of the site. we were two in the hole and this first one was less invasive so i upgraded to the first one early yesterday morning. everything went well and no problems or hink ups at all.. the next upgrade will require a little more, we have two possible three add ons that must be installed just after the upgrade, so a couple things like particularly the search and shoutbox will probably be down an extra hour or so till i get those two complete. maybe the image resizer too.. either way i successfully did my first site upgrade by myself and the site didn't crash!! hahahaha shhhh!!! hahaha

i have the highest hopes... i still have another two or four weeks left on the crop now. they're okay.. i'll make a post on that thread and update them. they're still burning and i just think its the way its gonna be. starting to stink in all the right ways though so the leaves can do whatever they want as far as i'm concerned.. as long as the buds keep growing!!

I think my neighbors quit keeping chickens because of the local fox clan. Funny animal around here...like dog software but cat hardware so they easily go up and over 6' fencing and can climb tree and poles like cats.
One passes my window almost everyday but knows to stay out of our yard because of the dogs.
Feral cats are becoming another problem lately so we've stepped up the hazing on that shit to keep them away from here. Don't want 'em bringing fleas or disease to our cats and dogs. I think a pair of boarded up homes with overgrown properties behind our property and down the hill a hundred yards or so is where they're all coming from. Probably foxes and cats all living together like a wild commune in there and they're multiplying now.

Picking thru some early 4/20 sales and found a new carb cap and sapphire pearls for the 3dXl chamber from Drip Glass. Moving away from the joystick thing and going for a hands free spinner

Stoney can probably explain a ton more but for me, each rig has a sort of nuance to it and may or may not be ideal out of the box.
For that piece there, it's for the Peak Pro 3dXL chamber which is much deeper than the chamber that comes with a Peak.

The deeper the chamber I feel the more swirl or tornado style air flow into the chamber is needed. The more shallow it is, just a common carb cap to restrict air flow is all that's needed for me.

To get a tornado effect I need a spinner carb cap and that there is one type of them with two angled holes opposite each other will create that tornado inside the chamber.
When you add a terp pearl in there to the chamber and dab, you basically have a little gemstone marble in there swirling around in the tornado creating more surface area to put heat to your wax and stirring up your dab at the same time. Similar to using a poker to stir up a bowl of flower midway thru for a total and complete burn.

I want to invest in something decent that doesn't break the bank eventually. Right now i have a a little bucket(??) and a carb cap to restrict air flow. I'm not crazy about it, but never was able to try the whole gamut so not sure what i would like. Usually i just do a small dab here and there in it. My main go to is straight flower

I don't consider quartz or less and only look for glass on glass or ceramic because I feel with the others, I'd spend just as much replacing them all the time than I did getting something more durable and reliable.

In regards to erigs and if I could have only one, it would be Ispire Daab. This is the rig that I feel is best for flower rosin and really, any homemade extract I can throw at it and it will clean up like new. It's worth every bit of the $250 msrp IMO but can be had for around $210 shopping around.
I also have the Bomb erig and Puffco Peak Pro and those two are comparable with Bomb being less than half the price of Puffco. I feel those are best for people buying refined and far less sticky waxes and not smoking sticky globs like home flower squish.
When it does come to Puffco I use the glass pass app to save a lot on the devices and then deal direct with head shops or artists for better deals on glass or attachments and chambers.

I have a Rok that's quartz and it sucks so bad compared to what's out there now. Luckily I have a hazmat depot nearby where I can get rid of batteries but it's one that's been sitting for years just to keep it out of the garbage. I picked it up again about 6 months ago and it was so bad I didn't even want to sell it. I feel bad for anybody buying one of those new in box.
Erigs have always been my choice and it's been a journey. I won't use a torch because I know I'd start a fire or hurt myself or a pet. Fire and me don't mix too well

it's so nice to work with all brand new parts this time.. i have everything mocked up now and just waiting on the crop to finish. the leaves don't look as nice but the buds are nicer this time than last. getting the bottleneck size buds this time versus a thumb size.. i gotta pot an update on it. not really much to show though, they not even thinking about maturing yet. i think i may have four weeks or more left. i know the soil ones took a while. really can't wait to compare though.. one soil one hydro both clones!!!

its a constant revolving door with my chickens. i could keep them penned up and safe but they're bored and not happy. so i choose to take the bad with the good and let them out.

there are constant predators here of all shapes and sizes. about the only thing around here lower on the food chain are bugs and worms.

so i make the choice to let them out and just buy new chickens every few years.

but i gotta say right now, they ain't bored one bit in the run right now. i have the old birds and the new birds separated with a makeshift screen door right now.. when they interact there is a bunch of bullying, so i'm playing chicken referee right now. it's like a part tie job.. hahaha

that looks really cool man, i like the engraving on the edges!!! i've always like the terp pearl option. only downside i have with it is personal because if the way i sometimes clean mine.. i don't always swab after each rip, especially if its a small dab. so after a few of those i sometimes use three squares of TP rolled up like one big swab. when i do that sometimes the terp perl comes with it and i drop it on the floor... thats it though, my one and only gripe!! it's a tiny one!! hahaha

when you use your blowies, do you use a stopwatch? that was a game changer for me when i used buckets and stuff.. i even had a stopwatch right on the torch because i don't wear a watch at all.

if i remember correctly it was 45 seconds of hard flame then a 25 second pause, then the dab... perfect and consistent every single time.

i think it was more the pause period that the biggest difference. it was enough time to let the heat in the glass to even out first so there were no hot spots.

even did the timer thing with a nectar collector.. i was pretty big into those for a couple years..

Freakin' Gibbs finally got a win. Feels like all the magic from the 19 last year is over in the 54 garage this year.

I looked at the Hasty Bake site thinking maybe I can finally grab some cool Briscoe sponsor product other than crackers but damn those are some expensive bbq grills!

Probably for the best though because I tell ya man, if Mahindra made a gas mower, I'd have one and wouldn't need it lol.
Had to shop for a new one recently and stayed with electric but downsized to only 16". I'd be stuck with a bag ass gas mower had my intrusive thoughts and product been in alignment on that one.
