Hey Everybody!!!

i'm back with my third hydro screened sea of green. got some upgrades and changes since the last round and been testing them so this will be a flower journal since most of the vegging is done at this point. so fire up your favorite smokin device and i'll give the details..

The genetics: Sun of a Peach ...seeds were bought here at Bud Builders from our approved vendor B2ACG. these are clones of plants i currently have in flower.

The lights: California Light Works solarsystem 550 gen1 x(2) of them.

011.JPG013.JPG

The system: a DIY 28 gallon fallponics RDWC setup with two(2) eight gallon plant sites including a chiller, alita air pump, DC adjustable water circulation pump, top off barrel, and other supporting devices for automation.

The Nutrients: GH micro, and GH Bloom also known as Lucas Formula. also added is Hygrozyme. my water is deep well from a country mountain side and contains lots of iron and calcium. i mix my tap water 50/50 with caught and filtered rain water. i may dabble with some other goodies i have but for now so far it's just been these three bottles and my 50/50 water.

014.JPG

The growspace: a 4 x 4 wooden cabinet with a carbon scrubber and clip fans along other goodies such as remote control light winches, power SCROG table.

The Style: this will be a SCReen Of Green and the screen will soon be lowered in the next week or so and this journal will focus on the screen and technique. each plant got started by topping after node four and then again topping those two last shoots after node two. these were clones so the second set of nodes were staggered, in this case i topped after node four of the second set. fem seeds would not be staggered at this point. if that makes sense.

okay enough of the talking time to see some photos!!!!!!!!!!

controls and rez on the outside..

008.JPG009.JPG012.JPG010.JPG

this is how the look as of today and i will journal them from here and hopefully have greasy sticky nugs to show at the end!!!!

Thanks for checking it out and hope everybody has a great 4th of July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i mounted the controller and power for those screen actuators. another few inches and the plants will be too tall to put the screen on safely so i will be flipping soon. i have about 8 gallons of top off left and i want to have the screen in place and a change out done by time that 8 gallons is gone.

001.JPG002.JPG

it works great, i can suspend the screen just where i want while i tuck the branches under the wires and then once i have them in place i can hit the button for another inch or so and then stop again to readjust. that frst time i snapped a branch not having it ready before the weight of the screen dropped on it. now i can defy gravity with the screen till i'm ready!!!

plants are ready for sure.. i think it's safe to say with this new setup my hydro woes are a thing of the past...

003.JPG

i'll have to do some more trimming underneath for sure.. maybe even cut a node or two completely off.. but the are much cleaner underneath than my past attempts...

009.JPG
and the roots are still nice and white and smell great!!!!

couple more days though guys and we're flipping these pigs!!!!!! the new bluelabs guardian shows everything has been pretty steady eddie. they're thriving and the time is now.. no complaints at all!!

enjoy the rest your weekend everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

;lar

Love dwc.. its my favorite way to grow.. I have total control of everything..

i am really enjoying it a lot. i haven't really said this out loud yet but with the price of soil i think my current soil run will be my last for a little while... indoors at least.

i really enjoy the ease of the hydro, with soil ya gotta lift it all the time and always carry the water and just a lot of manual labor before, during, and after . my dwc is hardly any work at all to turn valves and hit buttons.

i look forward to continuing with this setup and possible even expanding in the future.

congrats to the 19 team today!!!!

Here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tonight was flip time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! screen was lowered and lights are set!!!!!!!!

.

my screen is a wooden frame with electric fence wire stapled to it. the wire is nylon woven with stainless strands. durable yet very strong. it measures 45" x 38" and the openings are approximate 4" x 4"..

003.JPG

when i was drilling the holes for the actuators to go in i had to loosen a couple wires so before i set it in place i hit each wire with my air stapler...

004.JPG

i tried to shoot a video of me tucking the branches and using the remote but the camera fell.. but you guys get the idea from the short vid..

once it was done it looks like this... they ain't very happy and this should cause some stress on them. i want them to know something tragic has happened and they now need to grow differently to survive. they look ugly now but they'll love me later!!

never weave, just keep tucking...

008.JPG009.JPG

i'll clean up the bottoms later once the dust settles....

011.JPG

the timer has been adjusted to 12/12, my calendar has been reset to week 1 day 1, and the spectrum has been adjusted to red white and half blue. once i'm in flower and have pistils i will reduce the blue spectrum even more.
and since i needed my air compressor down there for the stapler i used my air gun to blow all the dust and spider legs out!!!! works awesome for getting behind the plants and pipes! also blew out the vents on my chiller and lights, fans, and carbon filter.

012.JPG014.JPG

so Sun of a Peach we are set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a little style for the screen...

015.JPG016.JPG

i got more... i got tired of peeling them though!!! hahahaha

017.JPG

have a great week everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

day one, 24 hours after the screen squash and i went back in and readjusted all the tops near the edges. if a branch was obvious where it should come through i lined it up, if not i left it to the side to be adjusted later. most if not all edges are filled already..

2030.JPG

day 2 of flower and after 48 hours they are starting to shake it off and starting to emerge through the screen. a small clip fan helps here a little, gets them dancing a little and helps them find their way up....

035.JPG

and now we're at day three and they pretty much forgot all about getting punched in the face... most primary branches are poking through and just some opening in the center to get filled yet.

001.JPG

so far they seem right on track and started drinking normal again. i've added more power to the lights and now around 50% power, i'll keep adding more each week. tomorrow night is change out time.. i will switch to bloom and go by the chart..

006.JPG007.JPG

i'll put up an update in a few days again... i'll be putting a trellis net in about eight inches above the screen just to provide support for the buds and help separate and organize them a little better.
until then i hope everybody has a great week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
