Gassy Cream Cake Hydro scrog

I'd get more buddy if it's as big a deal as you say, another 30-40 bucks isn't gonna hurt yeah, as a matter a fack couple coats of that ...id grow in it, if that means anything...do it bud thank me later

yeah i figured it would take three or four coats easy... that wood is old and dry, it will probably suck it right up!!!

i have a gallon, that should be enough right? i don't do indoor painting ever, no clue how much is needed. i'm sure the label has some sort of square footage but i don't read!! hahaha

lay it on thick right? i mean i'm not trying to win a beauty contest here..

Can't spell lmao 🤣

Let it dry out man good beforehand get nice and warm man it's what I'd do. Let a coat dry in the wood. Then lay that shit over and over, it will be a while before anything get in...get a roller...I can't see it from here man...it don't matter bro

i always call directions the manufacturers suggestions! haha

but i follow ya.. thin to win, let dry between coats.

i have all the stuff already, pans, rollers, sponges.. my buddy has one of those house sprayers he said i could use anytime i want, he said ya gotta thin it out a lot though and i don't want to do that. i'll put it on by hand.

almost done with the mixer!!!

and well yeah if i never take pics nobody can see it.. i joke with that all the time with my clients, they ask "will it look good" i say idk i can't see it from my house!! hahahaha

I use that around windows and in kitchens/bathrooms. Works for us.

i don't much about house stuff honestly. only when something here breaks and i need to fix it, thats when i learn!! haha been so long since build that materials change and i forget stuff!!

so i only really know car stuff when it comes to paint and primer. in auto you can't let primer exposed, it absorbs moisture. i know some fools spray primer and drive it around "thinking" its okay, but it's not they're dumb!

and i try not to be dumb when i can help it so i gotta ask, can i leave just the primer exposed on the wood in my grow cabinet? or should i really put a protective top coat over it?

Hey buddy, it's gonna dry like any paint/primer would. In your case I'd probably get some enamel type top coat i think kills brand makes a hole line of different types. If it were me I'd find a good kitchen/bathroom type.
Depends on how much $$... do it yearly or every 5yr...that paint i used on my risers for my Stairs was 30 bucks a pint! FFFFFFF......but nothing sticking to it! She said dirt just wipes off...Depends bud you certainly don't want that bill. You're probably fine with a good enamel

I slept at the holidays end..
😋

ahhh no, this is a once and done deal!!!

do i need it?

yeah, and i'm an astronaut!!! haha

.
.
.

all four plants lived through the night so the test continues..
Idk bud..kinda a jugement call , if high rh% is consistent i probably would if I wanted to to be one and done. Or couple gals of the kills should be fine
If you think the cabs the cause I'd seal that wood is all.

i understand what your saying.

for now the doors are open and other than it being a little cooler in there than it was it seems to be fine. if this problem just goes away from leaving the doors open then i'll worry about it. till then i'm in watch mode and will continue to monitor.

one thing i have going for me is the heater ain't using any power!!!! i'm about to turn on my 400w koi pond pump for the summer so that will balance that out!

if this does work and "it" goes away then there's one free solution, just rip the doors off!!! :)

How long have you had that cab? Been a bit eh?

That’s how we did it before internet. That and family…assigning you chores without direction.

As soon as scopes came in and electronic tools that cost $$$ I we t back to oil changes and plugs. 🤣

Primer is different. You need a top coat. It would take years, probably, but eventually it will change colour. IIRC kind of a coffee with lots of cream. Think I have a section of wall like that myself. 🤔

i understand, just not willing to accept it yet in my head!!! i know whats right and what i should do!

about $150 in lumber to rebuild so coating would be the cheaper the route.

just might borrow my buddies sprayer after all...

.
.
.

so here's where i'm at right now today....

004.JPG

can't believe this one is still alive after two days!!!

005.JPG

and these two might now, but i figured if i could rescue even these two then i must have my shit dialed in!!! mostly just cause i can never throw a plant away!!!

006.JPG

and then there is my control plant...

011.JPG

i'm watching the newest leaves right here...

009.JPG

if they do this, the problem still exists...

010.JPG

and if they don't then i need to maybe close the doors and test more, if it acts up after that then i need to decide to paint or rebuild. i feel i'm the closest i've ever been.

i got the splashing way down and believe i have a good handle on this part...

012.JPG

and the ph has been rock steady for longer than i can count days.. and the roots are staying ghost white..

008.JPG

so that one set of leaves is all i'm concentrating on right now....

I don't even know if this is true with modern paints, but I always prefer gloss finish in bathrooms or kitchens. Anywhere that can get wet or is more likely to need wiped down. In your shoes, I'd probably want to put a coat of gloss over that primer, just so it would be easier to wipe down with peroxide or whatever. My wife can't stand gloss finish, but in my head it's the practical answer for this type of application. That said, it shouldn't take much to cover that primer and I don't think you'd need to go high end for something like this.

I don't know if all that's right, but in my head gloss is better for wet areas or where a wall will need to be wiped down more frequently than a living room or bedroom, unless a black light makes your bedroom walls look like a snowstorm in your high beams. In that case, go gloss in the dungeon bedroom, too.

i understand, that makes sense. i think i might even have something here that i don't have to buy. i know i have gloss black here!!! hehe

no worries there, our s&m room is padded velvet.
Oh, my! The Velvet Underground used to be one of my favorite bands. Not sure i can listen to them the same way ever again.

I sense the edibles have me letting too much of my true self out into the world, lol. Speaking of which, I had extremely delayed effects on Sunday. It still doesn't seem possible. I'm almost afraid to try them again unless I truly have plenty of free time. I thought they were duds and went about my day. Around 5 hours later and an hour from home... Whamo! I usually feel effects off edibles 50mins-90mins after eating them. I tried to tell myself they were duds and I just had some kind of odd bug, or something, but I was high af, lol. Seemed that way. I don't know. I've never had that much delay. Had to be something else.

We do semi gloss. Same idea. Plus we had young kids at the time. Easier to wipe up.
