Greenpoint Seeds

Anyone who’s ever had an issue knows where to find me 720 280 9578 gu@greenpointseeds.com that’s where customer service is handled. Not on forums. Public stuff is just flame on 🔥 behavior.
I’m here just to share what I’m doing in a public place. I’m very proud of my journey from one 250w light in an apartment.
The new stuff is soo good. If you’ve got an issue, call/text me

What strain has shown to be problematic in multiple gardens?

Animal Cookie and Gorilla Butter crosses have entered the chat. Hermie traits are botanical roulette with those crosses.
"S1" = high chance of mutants with such fun features like layered leaves, squatty unenthusiastic growth, germinate and die, two branches one node as if they're conjoined twins resulting in dismal yields.
Purple Punch "crosses" with no distinction from one to the next giving the impression of them all being the same but with a different name. Also, same mutant traits as the S1s.

This is the point in the timeline which I bailed on everything GPS and refused to ever do business with you again.
But after I bailed, and from what I've seen of this Dante trash, more of the same with some reversals going full blown male.

You asked so there it is. Don't care what the excuse or deflection you have. Read your "Grower error" shit before or if you even care to acknowledge these defect genetics are on your end. I'm simply done, moving on to better breeders with way better quality control than what GPS has shown the past three years. What GPS seeds I have left will likely go into the bird feeder. I'm out.

Don't even get me started on these "Dalato" plants that someone here grew. Wtf is this crap 💩 20240928_064513 (1).jpg20240928_064624 (1).jpg20240928_064532 (1).jpg

When the other pheno looks like this20240925_062655.jpg
Pretty sad when only 1 of 4 plants makes it to harvest and they had to go thru and pick balls off for the beginning of flower...

Hands down most herm/mutant prone genetics I've ever run

Without complete knowledge of how the above plant photos were grown @GoodShit97, most the time genetics grow like that, I’d look for light leaks.

This is a welcome thread, the GUy gave everyone his personal contact. Staff posting memes like that is diabolical.

The grow was posted here for everyone to see.

He's also only here because heisen came here after they split, and trashed each other on the forum but you can't see that cause i deleted it all.

There's 2 sides to everything man.

Have some class, you lads all singing a different tune than you were 4 months ago.
True.

Just read the thread.

I'm seeing both sides here. It really sucks to devote months to a grow to end up with a terrible harvest. But there are a lot of factors that go into a harvest.

This forum was founded on the principal that vendors are not a protected class. That they need to stand on their own based on the genetics and customer service. I still feel that way today.

GU has had ample opportunity to reach out to the folks with issues - they are posting here. Instead of reading his own thread - and the room - he is putting the responsibility back on the customer to contact him offline - and prove their case. This is not wise IMO - he should read the thread and quote the posts with issues and work thru them if he wants us as customers. Do it publicly so the next reader gets the full context. That said, the feedback seems unwelcome from my viewpoint.

I agree that there is a right way and a wrong way to go about this. Continual bashing is not benefiting anyone. GU is not hearing it nor making any changes to anything based on what members are saying (with pics) so this seems to be devolving into a venting session.

We could do this with more class.

Ultimately the answer is to vote with your wallet. Let the chips fall where they may. And it is time to let that dead horse have a little dignity and quit beating it.

I agree ... While my harvest will be lower than what I am used to, it could simply be the strains I grew. I have yet to find a "hermie," so that's good news. I grew 4 plants from seed and then cloned the rest. With the clones I think I'll come out ok with my yield. I usually grow 12 or less. This run has 30. So I will still have plenty. They may not have the genetics for large yields. I like their smell. I have not harvested so I can't say how good it is yet. Harvesting will begin maybe as soon as next week hopefully ... guess we see. Once its harvested and cured I will let the forum know how it went.

@Gu~ wants to keep negative statements off of a public forum. I get that. This is a relatively small group here. However, this group is made up of mostly experienced growers. We know what we're doing and how to maximize our yields. I'd love for him to actually participate in this discussion ... not defend himself or try to force us to take up these discussions privately, but actually take our experiences and try to improve his products. After-all, @Gu~ can take something positive from our experiences if he wants to. It's all about breeding for the qualities you're seeking in the final product.

The feedback for the most part has been on point from what I'm seeing in my own grow. I'm not trying to harm anyone. In my eyes, the attempt to muzzle us over honest feedback is not the smartest approach. Instead, the feedback could be valuable if he wants to improve the genetics of the strains he's selling.

I agree with the let it rest sentiment though, if we quit mentioning the asshole I shouted out in my last post surely we can find a common ground here in this thread with this seed company. I bought a lot of stuff. Always got what I ordered, drew my line when I got all the packs I was interested in...haven't grown the majority of them. So for me to say the seeds inside are trash would be ridiculous.

Not saying anyone is wrong or right, just saying it could be a little more chill. I get breeders shouldn't be protected and that's great and something I'm with 💯, but ya also want them here...if I were a breeder that was recommended BB from a customer or tester or something and I seen this I'd probably opt to stay in my current lane.

We need to set the bar higher than that, be noble and keep the environment around here conducive. ✌🏻

Glad I passed on the GPS deals. I’d be pissed too. You buy a bunch of seeds with high expectations. You spend money on soil, fertilizer, electricity, water and personal time to get a crappy return. Then in return you get a sorry growers error. It’s your fault. Deal with it. The proof is in the pudding. Sure some may have had good grows and congrats to you and them. But what about the ones who don’t. The ones who lost 100x what they spent on seeds. Forums give them an outlet to call this crap out. In my opinion can be a good thing because it may save someone from all the headache. Yeah it may seem harsh of some people maybe even juvenile. Well welcome to the real world. Not everyone is all reserved and excepting. Sometimes you have to call a turd what it is. A turd. I follow a lot of these guys info. If they call someone out I’m listening. So if GPS is a 50/50 gamble then I’m out. That’s why I’ll buy from vendors here on BB.

I think you should be able to speak your mind in a reasonable way whether you are happy with the gear or buying experience or customer service..... or not. And whether or not anybody else thinks you should.. or that somehow they think can gripe or shame away your right to complain.
Let the beans/plants/actions, speak for themselves, good or bad as they may be.

Love the fade. Was that intentional? Senescence can also be genetic if you did not flush.
It's 100% genetic I think.

I'm still feeding most of them. Today, the Fritter Cookies will get only water. I anticipate harvesting the mom within the next week. Temperatures have been consistent through out the grow. Day time temps between 80-82 and night time temps between 68-72. So no, I'm not doing anything to get that fade you see. What I have done differently this time is used A LOT of red light. I have 8 Grow Daddy lights putting off 660 nm and 720 nm I believe. I have had the reds come on 10 minutes before lights on and stay on 10 minutes after lights off. However, I'm not sure all that red would cause senescence while the plants were still actively growing. That purple began to show over a month ago.

Love it when my buddy Andy Sack calls me for genetics. I know they’re going to be grown to their fullest potential. This is Glass Meadows. The largest producer in New Jersey running exclusively Greenpoint Seeds

https://www.glassmeadows.com/post/g...ring-a-slice-of-jersey-to-the-cannabis-market from their Dec 9th news.
Looks like they have not gone to market yet. Says they are bringing 4 new brands of cannabis but not which ones. I think most greenhouses will be filled with clones than the unreliability of seed starts, seems less risky when there is a whole greenhouse at stake.
How are they NJ's largest producer?? They haven't even started selling yet, have they?
Do you realize that Curaleaf, Green Thumb Industries and Verano are all in NJ? Those are multi billion market cap companies.

Nice flex though :)

We're a small forum but I'd bet there's probably a combined 150-200 years of grow experience wandering these halls.
Many of us have seen it all.
The "big time commercial grower with a greenhouse" flex over at home personal growers has been run again and again and each time it gets even sadder than the previous attempt at it.

The guy is an amazing dad and a great dude. Andy’s career growth from water boy at Kind Love to his first big break risking it all moving to Puerto Rico to run a facility built in an old pharmacutical manufacturing plant to now running the largest grow in the densest state is an incredible show of talent, risk, and success that anyone has had in this space. It should be lauded. I say he’s the best grower in the country.

Ok, latest update....

I saw some dust like frass on the creature and cream leaves. I also saw some toasted hairs in a few spots and I search and pull 2 spent flower sacs. :( . Looking down thru the plants thinking about what to prune off I see full on sacs ready to pop. That is sacs on 3 of the 6 leads so far.creaturesandnuts.jpgcreaturesandnutsb.jpgcreaturesandnutsc.jpgcreaturesandnutsd.jpgcreaturesandnutse.jpgcreaturesandnutsf.jpgcreaturesandnutsg.jpgcreaturesandnutsh.jpg

You can see I cut the branch off where the red arrow is.

So let's recap the Greenpoint experience :)
1) one of ten Copper Chem beans pops
2) Oreoz is a puny runt
3) Creatures and Cream is hermie prone

These crappy plants are in a tent that is just finishing up a seed run. They can't do any harm to anything else in the tent. I'll be culling the pointless runt and severely pruning the Creatures and Cream if not tossing it completely.

Greenpoint seeds are cheap for a reason. I've got a bunch of these newer offerings and I will update them here, I just can't grow them if there is anything good or important in the tent. :)

It's somewhat funny that a guy named "Sack" will be growing your beans.....hilarious in fact.

I know it's not nearly as easy, but I've had great success with just plucking off the pollen sacks. Of my two hermied plant's I've dealt with so far, less than 5 seeds were found. Lemonade out of lemons so to speak.

That's what I did and now I think I only see one bud with seeds on my LA now. The yield though is so dismal I might get a few joints off her.
The black color does nothing for me. It's also weird how all the stuff is black now. Screams open pollination to me. Sure it's pretty in pics but there's no aroma or anything special in any way. Feels like fools gold genetics more than anything

They aint cheap anymore! Kinda expensive now but you get twice as many seeds and twice the chance of hermie! Yay!

I've gone back into regular seeds from boutique breeders. Like the days of yore and putting in the work.
$20/pack, stable dank, and yeah there's males to cull but better than culling hermies.
I'm just so done with big cannabis and wannabes trying to do that. I'll give Ethos a try here and maybe Equilbrium who both have huge catalogs and backed with recs from longtime friends and trusted local growers but it's time for the rise of the little guy breeder in this game and I'm happy to help get that word out for them.

I think I'll go the plucking route for now. The plant smells great and it can't hurt anything else for a month. I can re-evaluate then.

I've grown a couple packs of Bridezilla out, I know how to pluck :)

I get that. I have a love/hate relationship with InHouse in that same vein. Yes, some of their beans are really good and then you get some no-pops and mutants in other beans. Twisted Pie got me 3 mutant males and 2 no-pops from a five pack. Sticky Glue was another pos.

More and more, I need less of big cannabis. :)

FYI.......Ethos is just as bad regarding hermies. Not all of course, but I've seen plenty of hermies on Ethos stuff.
