Grump's Indigo Sapphire Grow 🌱

Getting huge with 2 or 3 weeks left. Maybe 4 or 5 considering all that cotton.

These big bleached foxtailin' bitches are the closest to the lights.

I lowered the light intensity 10% and gave them a res change. The roots are looking delicious, as is tradition...

Amongst my new cache of hydro booty lies a brand new AC Infinity AI controller.

Looking to put it to good use, I preordered their AI pH/EC probes.

Update: The probe says shipped so that wasn't much of a preorder 👍

I think they got some more swelling and fruiting to do man....
Congrats on that haul from Moe again!

You see this email about the camera deal that plugs into the AI controller?
Looks like it has hermie tracking and a selfie spot for mites.
Da Fuq?????
I like the note at the bottom :ROFLMAO:

I think this is going a bit too far. Next up is @Observer 's nanobot pruner/exterminators.

I think the camera and AI is kind of cool.
But even the slacker has pride or humiliation.
Not sure I want to be tuned in if I don't tune it.
Not saying AI wouldn't do better either just makes me shake my head..

I tied up some more honkers in there. They're getting heavy.
20260212_094615.jpg
That back plant is gonna have to fend for itself. If I could manage getting myself back there, someone would have to come cut me out. It's a sticky nightmare and my next grows will be trellised. I haven't used one because I've been so worried about root rot. After 4 years with zero scares, I think I can stop worrying about it and just trellis it all up.

Finally getting some orange hairs. Time for a trip to bulk city!

I'm really interested in what u think about those probes. I've been contemplating getting them, using the pens is my least favorite thing thus far

Man I swear BlueLabs prices have gone up quite a bit. If they weren't basically $400, I would've just grabbed another one of their monitors. These being $150 made the decision pretty easy.

I love all my AC Infinity gear so far. Anything unsatisfactory has been underpowered or used incorrectly. The little 750w heater couldn't keep up with my 5x5 and the little UIS plugs go to shit in a hurry if you try to use one for a space heater. I either sold the heater or gave it away or sent it off as a prize, can't remember. The UIS plugs I no longer use. An oil heater right by the tent's intake fan has done the trick just fine.

Clearly my most impressive colas to date.
20260215_073646.jpg
We've entered into week 8 and things are getting FAT. Lower colas are starting to foxtail so I turned down the light to 75% power. Don't want any nanners.

Once they've drank this top-off down to nothing, I'll do another full changeout using Athena's Fade for the last ~2 weeks They're drinking a collective 6 gallons per day so they'll be ready in a couple more days.

Fade is a chorinator(?) that is supposed to aid in the removal of nitrogen and boost terpenes. The feedchart still calls for the regular dose of PK. No Blooms. I've only used it once and it wasn't on an ideal grow, so I can't say whether or not its effective. I'm curious if the chlorine is at a high enough concentration to kill off my bennies?

Day 55 and they got a res change. Final ratios, may dilute.

300ml PK
300ml Fade
~50ppm epsom
~20ml pH UP

1ec/6.3ph

Heater is off so the temps have been 70-76
Humidity is what it is and hovers between 50-55
Exhaust battles it all day long

Light is set to 75% power, thinking of going to 60%
Moving to CLW's "finishing" spectrum in 2 steps
Today's ratios are set at 58r:75w:47b
In about a week that'll change to 75:75:30

Congratulations man!!!
I'm liking the color a lot.
The color sold me on it. Wasn't really in NEED for a ride but this one called my name.

I'd get weird and silly and put stickers of Russel Crowe's face over the Roman helmets but that's just me ;smoke
Haha. Those spartans are ALMOST too much pizzazz but i'll live. I just like the green and the 35s

I like the winch up front too. Is it a Warn?
Doesn't really look used. It's synthetic but it looks to be in good shape.

4 Low works 🤣
Wife was pissed before we got out of the mudhole. Daughter thought we were being attacked by frogs with all the mud clods flying by the windows 🤣

When I sold my ‘88 YJ I kept the 12000lbs Warn and the checkered mount plate I made at work years ago. Still in the garage waiting for a new truck to go on. My wife refuses to learn stick and doesn’t like trucks so I got a Sportage. I regret the decision.

It looks like the windshield still can fold down. I’d recommend you do it once a year to check and grease the seam. Water does get in there even with the rubber seal. A lot, including mine, start to rust out in there and you won’t see it until you put the window forward or it’s too late and spreading.

You can get the plates from the CJ iirc and the big hand bolts to make this easy or just leave the Torx on. You’ll have about 6 bolts on each side. Three at the top roll bar and three at the dash connection, if it’s still the same.

Love the color. I only had 31’s or 33’s. 👊

The dealer didn't have much info besides it being a Sport S. That's one of the models where the windshield folds down. I haven't had time to really play with it yet, though. Makes me wonder if the last owner ever had it down and greased

Yeah I'm pretty sure you're right. They're all torx connections too, like you said.

I just realized yesterday that the remote for the wench is nowhere to be found... at least it came with a full-sized spare 🤣

Mines older and has the long cable thumb controller. I think the new ones are wireless. If wireless you might be able to get an app or just IP connection to control it. Been years since I looked into any of that stuff.

Took a bit but I found the parts to show you. Easier than trying to explain.

You replace the inside dash plate with the older style, if they still match the new models bolt pattern.

IMG_9165.jpeg

Then you bolt the top holes but use the hand knobs for the bottom for easy and fast removal.
IMG_9168.jpeg

I swapped a lot of parts for SS and ditched the Torx for normal grade 7 bolts. IMG_9166.jpeg

Some of my best years were in that Jeep out in the bush. Alone fishing or with family and friends camping and off-roading. Good times. 👊

Thanks @Zen_seeker ..
That top is easy to pop off but making the windshield easier would make it more likely to get used. Cool man 👍

It's my first real Jeep and it's already been a blast to drive. Only drove it to work and back aside from the one trip through a mudhole to test the 4x4.

Every fella needs to have a jeep phase at some point in their life IMO! A hot rod and motorcycle phase at some point too.
Yeah man, looks brand new to me and it's new to you so yep, brand new!!!
I fell in love with Jeeps way back with my grandpa and his WWII surplus Jeep. Thing was a goat and could go anywhere and he damn sure took it everywhere a only a goat or maybe a horse could go.
I never folded the window down on mine or took the doors off other than the top half of the doors but never off the hinge part. My top was pretty cool with either sunroof mode, all off, or no windows like a bimini top for a boat.
My winch was a harbor Freight warn knock off and only used it a couple times pulling a tree canopy off my roof to cut it down and lay it beside the house, pulling boats onto trailers, using it to lift outboards off boat transoms, and pulled a stump or two with it. Nice to have a good winch around.
Also had a CB radio which was weird at best. Mostly bootleg Mexican radio and sick fuck truckers on it. Best accessory was on board air. I used it to inflate tires and also clean the cab, air up whatever inflatable toys and float tubes etc. Basically a portable, under hood mounted air compressor. That's the one biggie I really miss from my Jeep days. It saved a few flats on my quad and hauler back in those days.
Those were also my Polaris quad days too so we all kinds of fun on trails up in the Hill Country with those two toys.

I had a 98 Cherokee for my second car ever. Then I grabbed a Renegade when I was in Colorado for the 4x4 with grwat gas mileage. We just grabbed the wife a '25 Compass last year and then this Gladiator. This truck seems like it wants to be my forever truck. It's so fun to drive and parts and mods are nearly endless.

A hot rod and motorcycle phase at some point too.
Oh man.. I'm just too reckless. I get to having fun and then push my boundaries. I've wrecked every motorcycle I've ever been on and one of them were mine. Wrecked of few quads too... I can get a little carried away with adrenaline.
!!!

I can't imagine the memories. Rough riding sumbitch I bet, though 🤣

Is the Hurricane?...
Is that a model like a Mojave or Rubicon? It's a Sport S with some custom decals.

cool 4wd!!!! i like the wheels!!

i got a jeep..

i love winches!!!! snatch blocks and tree savers are right up there on my list as well!!!!
i'm weird about remotes though.. if it's a wired remote then no problem!! its the wireless ones i have with no wired backup.. i'm always afraid the day i really need it the battery will be dead!!

Apps don't work when you don't have service so I don't think I would get a wireless remote. Sounds cool but if I need the winch, chances are I'm in the stix and probably have shotty service.

Took it down to the river today. Crawled up and down the banks, no trouble and no slippage. It's a fuckin' beast.

If you do put the windshield down make sure you use a strap to secure it to the hood. They have a small bar to attach it to on the older models, haven’t looked at the newer ones that close. Don’t go on a HWY that way unless you like eating bugs and want to risk a rock in the head. Side roads and off road is fine.

Hope you have a blast with that truck. Only downside I had was the clutch throw out bearing. I had to keep replacing mine. It would leak after a while. Crappy Mopar parts.

My first car was a 1979 302 Mercury Capri, same as the Ford Mustang but a hatchback. Fun car but a very light back end, needed sand bags especially in winter.

Next was the same but the 6 cylinder Gia model. Had lots of extra features. Only a V6.

Then the 1988 Jeep YJ, it was a 256 straight six iirc.

I’d ridden a few dirt bikes and motorcycles at this point but didn’t own one until much later. Went through a few Kawasaki Cruisers before getting the BMW R1200GS.

A few more cars between my first and these days but it seems I checked all your boxes. 😂👊

Used the winch a few times for guys that got stuck bad. A few more times at my dads farm for pulling trees/trunks and fence posts.

Depends on the app. I only use Bluetooth on my phone and ACI controllers. I don’t use WiFi.

I only suggested it because you said you didn’t have a cable connection.

You can call the company and see if they will help you out. I’ve done it in the past for used equipment I’ve bought. Pre 2010 I’d say you might get it shipped to you for free. These days who knows but it never hurts to ask.

Nice. You into fishing off shore? Rainbow or salmon from river banks? Later I got a zodiac and 9.9HP motor. Fit in the back with the seat out perfectly. You got the extra space with the new model.

No no.. it's got the hookup for a remote, just didn't come with it. I think a universal one from Harbor Freight will fix me right up.

..... I'm about as far as possible from being able to fish off-shore and any rivers within 3-4 hours from me aren't really fishable. Walkable, yeah. That's why I bowfish. Hard to put a dent in the carp populations though.

I’m not a fan of carp. Won’t eat them and it’s like hauling in a water logged tree trunk. Trout, Steel Head and Salmon are what I river fish. Been a few years though. All the near by places have been developed or gotten so polluted I won’t fish there anymore.

Yeah they're more work than they're worth when it comes to cleaning and eating. Way too many bones.

Even though they're invasive, I've lost the thrill of carp hunting. I realize it helps the environment, but it's just killing and death while telling yourself you're feeding a hungry coon. After my few trips up into the Colorado highlands, camping and bowfishing for pike, I don't fish here anymore. We found a crystal clear resevoir with a healthy pike population. Out there, you're helping the trout while bagging a fish that's worth eating. Take it back to the campsite, clean it and fry it up. Nothing better than eating a fresh catch/kill.

-------

Everything still cruising along in the tent as we start to really frost and fatten.
20260225_073343.jpg20260225_073440.jpg20260225_073707.jpg20260225_073915.jpg
The lights are fully into CLW's suggested finishing ratios at 60% intensity. I keep diluting down the reservoirs. They'll hold steady for a day or two before the pH dives and I dilute. We're sitting around .6EC after this morning. I don't see myself giving them any more nutes. I'll just keep diluting what they're working with.

I clipped a lower nug and scoped it... Little to no milky trichomes so I can't say when we're gonna chop these bitches. I keep telling my wife "one more week". I threw that little nug in the Cannatrol so she'll have a tester nug in a few days 🤣

Very close! So close I can smell it!
Looks like they're trying to spit out that last gasp effort before the downward spiral.

You ever play around with your spectrums outside the CLW suggestions?
That was kinda like drivers ed for me. I followed along but after I was like okay lemme take the wheel and do some burnouts and see what this mutha can do!

i always felt those suggestions were made for the gen1 lights. that chart hasn't been changed since then anyway. we know for a fact their light spectrum has.

i've been running 1:1:1 for this round even with the gen1 lights. my last soil harvest was all even spectrum as well. and only 10/14 schedule.

No never have. I planned to look more into which color spectrum does what to the plants morphology, but never got around to it. Works well enough with the student driver sticker on the bumper 🤣

I don't think I'll be using for flowering after this run. Moving forward, I'm gonna rebuild everything into a 4x8 tent using Moe's Raging Kush lights. I need to look into those a bit.

I gotta give some HVAC guys free run of my basement as soon as this harvest it dried and cured. Afterwards, I'll be trying to get my forever setup built. 4x8 with the Raging Kush lights and a minisplit and O2 injection, possibly CO2 as well. Then another 4x8 for my moms and clones. If I like Moe's lights enough, the CLW may get retired.

Have you done any kind of program where it starts at one spectrum but then changes midway and finishes in another spectrum during the same lights on period? I've never even really looked at how advanced a program can be outside of a single set spectrum and timer.

Not just gen1 but i also think those programs were made to create bleaching. In 2017, bleaching was desirable but now we all know the Vashon Velvet claim was bullshit.

I like the sound of "forever setup"
I think that phrase or something similar was in my head around 2004;pass
I'm somewhat familiar with the company behind those RK lights, Scyence, and they're a good fit, pretty much used at the same height and same way as something like the 1100.
I like the blue in the SolarSystem and still believe it's the best blue money can buy in a light. Been thinking about their 175s in veg array but used as finishers along with UV blue ranges

Haha yeah. Wishful thinking...

I played with one a little bit yesterday. Pretty neat. 5 channels of customization that really just boils down to whites and reds. There's a slider for the whites to choose warm or cool, then a slider for the intensity. Same for the reds. Far red or just red, olus intensity. Then there's a slider for overall intensity. Kinda neat.
Screenshot_20260227_064240_Theia Stratus.jpg
I also have a couple far red and UV bars that will likely be implemented.

Would some supplemental UV get the RKs cloaer to CLWs blue output?

I'm thinking about throwing the CLW on blue only until harvest. Could be a week. Could be two or three... You ever finish with all blue?
