Dad did that for a living. Unfortunately he’s also a gambler. Forced retirement so started a horse farm because he liked to bet at horse races. Not the best choice IMO.I am currently finishing my general ed requirements at a community college and transferring to university of Oregon this fall for my junior year. I am planning on double major in Entrepreneurship and finance. Then I may go on for a MBA in finance as well. Long term my goal is to get licensed to sell securities / provide financial services so that I can help other outlaw growers / people in general navigate retirement planning, organizing and financial planning etc, and I also want to understand how to better run my business, I've been doing this all with no formal training so think that with some education I could do an even better job at it. Seeing my in-laws getting screwed by their retirement, and getting horrible financial advice, and I seem to have a knack for playing the stock market, so yea.
what parts didn't you like? Do you feel like it upped your ability to manage a retirement / money in general?"We don't have very many MBA stoners out there that I am aware of."
Here's 1, I have an MBA in Finance, undergraduate in Accounting. Hated the field after working in it a few years.
I have a bs in business - had the opportunity to go back when I was 40 yrs old - went 1 semester 1 class (ethics) and decided wasn’t worth it . ( lazy)"We don't have very many MBA stoners out there that I am aware of."

yep, hydro seems to be very equipment based. Something fails - not a good day. Which is why I only gave it half the space instead of all of it. but back to my tried and true, albeit dirtier and messier, methods.shame to hear about the chiller.. definitely a piece of equipment that is almost critical without other controls in that kind of system though. can't wait to see once you get back into it!
could come to the real dark side of hydro and join the rockwool gang with @Dirtbag and Iyep, hydro seems to be very equipment based. Something fails - not a good day. Which is why I only gave it half the space instead of all of it. but back to my tried and true, albeit dirtier and messier, methods.
Thats rough bro sorry to hear thatwe had a bit of a heat wave here - and the chiller circuit got tripped apparently...not sure how long ago, but one plant in the system went to shit. hard core droop Did a water change, and reset the chiller, but that plant went from happy healthy to hard core droop and never came back. It was week 10, and The seeds looked pretty ripe so I pulled that plant, and looked at the roots - looks like root rot when the chiller shut off. Today when I went in - looks like the water change wasn't enough and the remaining 3 are all drooped hard af. So, looks like the RDWC side will be getting pulled down today. We were already on the fence regarding the RDWC as this rental the garage doesn't have any way to vent or add ac and we can't chop up a wall to make it to where it can, so going to take the summer off of RDWC and go back to soil. I love the vigor and speed of RDWC and if I could control the environment, I would likely keep running it. such is farm life. was a fun experiment
It's the most failsafe way to grow hydro imho, especially in slabs. Shit holds so much water and air, usually have a couple days if things go screwy on ya.could come to the real dark side of hydro and join the rockwool gang with @Dirtbag and I![]()
