today i helped my buddy start putting the roll cage in his nova... neither of us have ever done this before, just watched it on tv and stuff... pretty cool figuring out all the angles while staying inside the rules and keeping racetrack specs. we found no deal breakers and eveything will fit within the aesthetics that he wanted.



our buddy stopped by with his rat rod and pulled his Plymouth out of storage today..






he brought his new puppy along too!!!!! haha

he built that old army truck himself, i think that was his third build?? he still has his first build that i've seen in storage. he's a real pistol this dude.. loves his mopar thats for sure.

that rat rod is pretty much his daily driver. no joke.

Fucking Brits can't build a car to save their life but they can sure hot rod! The roots sticking out of the hood and the air filter sticking out of the headlight mount makes quite the statement!!

I wonder what type of engine he has in the bay? I'm guessing they're running a modified Rover V8.

Man. I wish Cali would ease up a bit on smog. I sold a car I liked to play with because I couldn't get it to pass smog.

Right now you don't need to smog the car if it's a 75 or older but 75 is 50 yrs ago. I wish they would update it and allow 80's cars to be exempt.

I guess my next project resto will be an old 240Z or a 3 window truck so I don't have to smog it if I can find one that isn't a complete rustbucket or has been F'ed with by some kid who doesn't know what he's doing.
