I gotter dun, Auto pots on, no leaks all water at a stable level. I fed them all 4/5/4/4/1 Micro/Grow/Bloom/Diamond Nectar/ Hyclean. Thanks to @OLDCRO for the silicon pads, A blue one was lost but the red fits and the blue replacement pads are a bit too big, if I had ordered the blue I'd of needed to cut them to make them fit
Red fits the top valve blue is for bottom valve.

well shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! something leaked, drained my reservoir and burned out my submersible pump overnight. Now I need to find another pump today somewhere close. It looks like a valve failed and wouldn't shut off.

Work to do its always something.
It looks like it was dirty, I top fed while the pots where in the trays and with full soil some splashed into the valve, perlite blockage. So I cleaned it up and I'm hoping that'll do it.

I thought the blue was for the top as well but its too big IMG_6280.JPGIMG_6281.JPGIMG_6282.JPGIMG_6283.JPG

I hope that did the trick not fun cleaning up a res dump
it wasn't that valve that failed either, That is the last valve in my system and the second tray over filled and ran out 6 gal of feed I'd put in last night. Now I'm running my water through the chiller to warm it up before I turn it on again. My water was 60f so with the pump running it through the chiller set at 70f in a few hrs it'll be warm enough to turn on. I was a bit worried last night after lights out. I'd like to be able to watch it work through the day to make sure shit like this doesn't happen but I was anxious to get them started. ah well no real loss except the 6 gal of nutes.. I sucked it all up and cleaned them up so we'll see today how it goes.

Its still leaking from somewhere. I pulled the pot I replaced the silicon pad in to see if my leak would stop with only 5 hooked to the system, no such luck it still leaks so I've pulled another and capped it off. I'll have to keep pulling pots until I find the one that is causing this problem, My plants are getting feed through the bottom as is it just won't stop flowing with all valves closed. Work to do I guess.

Paper towel placed under pots will show the leak quick.
its my auto pot system, A reservoir with 1 line linked to 6 pots with 6 valves, I repaired 1 valve with a silicon pad so after I turned on and found water I pulled it cleaned it and watched to see if the water levels would maintain or keep rising and they kept rising, indicating to me the one I pulled isn't the problem, so I pulled another, capped it off to see if that would fix it, nope I'm on pot 3 now and its not looking good Its real slow so I gotta give it time but if it rises over a mark I've made then onto Number 4...if they all fail I'll start 1 up at a time and see if I can find out wtf is going on.

Right on PC, good to see you back at er. Pipes are looking nice and sharp 🤙

I still haven't tracked down the culprit tray. Yesterday I pulled them all out 1 by 1 and with 5 of 6 hooked up I still got leaks. Now I'm reversing the process and hooking them up 1 by 1, second tray failed and I'm on the 3rd. Once I can identify the trays with problem I can try and fix it. I've already wasted gallons of food leaking onto my tent floor enough's enough

Could the float valves need to be cleaned?
If they don't close/seal properly that would cause overflow.
I've had them apart each time I change one out, clean it look at it put it back in. I don't quite get how these valves work, when the water is low the valve has its pad on an air hole but soon as water lifts the valve and the air hole is exposed. so the only time the float drops low the air hole is sealed...???? that seems backwards but?? that's how its designed....... I have 4 hooked up now and I'm waiting for it to level out ...or leak...3 worked then I jumped the gun added another 2 and ............leak. now I'm waiting for #4

#4 held back to 5 again with my repaired valve one out only.....Funny I pulled it first, cleaned it and replaced it.

Here is how it is supposed to work;

Thanks I needed that, it seems that my outer floats rise up and they shouldn't be, I need to absorb this and figure it out. I had 4 working then I added the 5th and my floats started to rise & leak so I've shut it off for now and I'll get at it again tomorrow.

I pretty much took yesterday off,I caught up on some emails and smoked the day away. Today however I got at it again and I have my cut light up, on and levelled off. after I got the driver on only one side light came on. wtf. I had to pull it down and make sure my splices were good and put it back together. I couldn't find anything wrong so I rehung it and everything works.

I cut 2 black wires and spliced 2 short lengths of wire onto the 2 I cut in order to cut the light apart it had to be cut. when I put them back together I may have got it backwards, it normally doesn't matter or they'd be different colors but It may have mattered so I switched wires this time while I had it apart and it works.

It really lights up my 5x5 better and gives me much better coverage, I'll have 900 watts of light available when I need it.

I have 4 pots working and 2 that aren't. I've isolated the 2 and I have my reservoir on without leaks, Now to find out wtf is going on with the floats...tomorrow.

Are you getting a good seal when the floats rise? I think there are some little rubber pads down in there that could wear out.
I lost 1 pad & OLCRO sent me a few of each. I replace it and hooked up my system. After the leak it was the first one I pulled to see if it was he cause. Still leaked, so I pulled 1 at a time but there kept being a leak. Day 2 I hooked up 1 at a time after going through them I found 2 pots / valves not working right. I have them off line and the trays full of water for now. I'll get at it tomorrow and figure it out...hopefully, I've said that before ..lol...Dec 1 is flip day and I need everything working at that point....

That must be Qnight. 👍😍

Good luck tomorrow.
Thanks I need it, So yesterday I got my cut light up and on...yep on....the problem being I didn't put it on a timer so they've had 24hrs of light plus today. Last night as I was laying in bed going to sleep I went...FK I think I forgot something...too late I wasn't getting up getting dressed and coming down stairs to fix it. I'm glad they are still in veg..no big deal but I think they grew an inch or more since yesterday. I have 3 Far red pucks I'll be hooking up today so they should get a good nights sleep tonight.

I’ve done that with the door unzipped 1/4 to deal with temperature and/or humidity. Come down the next morning to find lights out and still 1/4 open. It’s not like it gets a lot of light but still not good. 🤦

As you say, we live on…

Maybe I should get a few for the bedroom. Extra few hours of sleep. 🤣

Looking good! 👍
I bought 4 cheap 4ft long red led's a couple of years ago to see what they would do for me in flower. Nothing I noticed so I added them to my veg room and my sprouts shot up tall and lanky so I shut them off. I was reading about far reds pucks and I bought 1 to add over a cloned plant in my 3x3 and It finished in 9 weeks that took me 11 with her mother.

I'm not 100% sure the if the far red light I'd added was responsible for the faster flowering or not but I was intrigued enough to get 2 more and give them a full run over these 6 plants. It is supposed to allow me an extra 1/2 hr day light/ day over 12 hr flowering plants. 3.5 more light per week.....I'll go 12.5 on 11.5 off tonight

I PM’ed about color LED just a few minutes ago. Tell me what ya think.

Probably way to weak. 🤔

It may have a small effect but its the Far reds & Royal Blues with specific spectrum's that cause the most effects.

I think I finely have the leaking trays stopped from leaking. I pulled each plant twice, Two 3 times and cleaned, inspected and replaced. Nothing I could see out of the ordinary and I kept getting leaks, Today with 4 holding level I pulled 2 out again cleaned and replaced. Now everything is holding level...so far...been here before. I'm pretty confident it will work so I fed them again. I've been running water through them while they leak.

To night its Flower time I'm putting them on 12.5 hrs on 11.5 off and the Red Led pucks are on for 15 min at lights out.

Fingers crossed you got the leak fixed.🤞
Nope, lol it held for a bit then another tray filled and leaked so it got pulled cleaned and replaced, I went to eat, came back down and another pot filled and over flowed. I just pulled and cleaned it and replaced it . They all look good I'm not sure wtf is going on.. It looks like any 5 work and soon as I add in #6 I get trays is over filling.....

Its given me a chance to do Chiropractics and clean up the bottoms. They are getting fed, they are growing like crazy, I''ve just been losing fluid...I think I gotter this time....lol

i bought one of those pucks but it was at the end of last cycle so i didn't get to use it yet.

is the purpose of them to help the plants go into "sleep mode"? or are there other advantages?

How many watts are the pucks?

Now using higher output XP-E2 far red diodes! This super easy to use far red initiator puck is the first collaboration between GrowMau5 and Rapid LED. Adding far red has been shown to help increase the rate of photosynthesis, speed up flower cycles, and contribute to leaf extension and growth

Simply leave this light on for 15 minutes after your regular lights turn off for faster plant "sleep" cycles
Use one puck per 3' x 3' area if helping to put the plants to sleep

Total Wattage : 8W

LEDs : Top Bin XP-E2 Far Red

Driver : Mean Well LDD-700LS

Compatible Lens : Carclo 10613

Mounting Holes : 35mm And 50mm Apart

My pots held all night. all 6 are now in operation on Flower day., I think it was poor cleaning on my part and sediment was causing sealing problems. Last night after pulling and cleaning 2 more I found some salts stuck to the underside of the inner float on the silicon nozzle. I gave the drip line a blow job and that cleared some debris from the tip of the nozzle. I guess after that it was happy and started working right, amazing what a bj at the right time can do:censored::censored::censored::censored:
