Thanks, for that. I don't do birthdays either. I'll mention it after its over but my wife and I don't celebrate over it. As I got older I didn't want any fuss over me so I've kept the day quiet. I'll celebrate 100 if I make it but the rest are just meh, another day and it just pisses me off I'm getting so old, so fast.Happy belated bday!
Thanks, I'll post pics in a bit. My girls broke ground July 29th. I'm 2 weeks into flower already at 5 weeks + 2 days old. I'm not far enough into my feed plan to be feeding flower nutes. I also seem to have a calcium deficiency already because I haven't added Cal/mag yet. I don't normally add until week 3 of flower but I see signs its needed already with fading fan leaves. I think these photo's being flipped at 2 weeks old will beat most auto's to harvest. My plants are definitely smaller than I normally grow them but I'm thinking they'll do just fine once I get their feed right.Happy way late birthday man! Hope your wife is recovering well!
Bring on the buds!!
I'm the same as you. I never cared about celebrating my birthdays. My wife loves a good party though. I reached a milestone birthday last year (50) and my wife got pissed that i refused any sort of grand celebration. A typical Friday night with our friends is celebration enough. There's always enough food, music and laughs. Thanks, for that. I don't do birthdays either. I'll mention it after its over but my wife and I don't celebrate over it. As I got older I didn't want any fuss over me so I've kept the day quiet. I'll celebrate 100 if I make it but the rest are just meh, another day and it just pisses me off I'm getting so old, so fast.

Had two buddies into punk in my late teens early twenties. Like most music I can listen to it but I wouldn’t buy it. Pink Floyd was punk but I considered them more rock.I've never been into punk rock or the screaming heavy metal but this chick is great. All in1 take. This stuff maybe old stuff to useall but its news to me
That Qnight on the well pipe, Coal up front Dusk...y back rightSeptember 5th, not August.
Everything is looking good. We all make little fuckups as we go along. I’ve left the bathroom sink running for an hour when watering because…squirrel.
Love the cat pic. Who’s lord of the yard sitting up on the log?![]()
Hey, how long did it take you to see right again? Its been close to 3 weeks now and she still can't see very well. No way she could drive now and she could before the operation.I had one of those on my left eye a few years ago and although I am a chicken chit, I went through with it.
It was a breeze. It went pretty fast and I was high as a kite when I left the facility.
Had some pain later, they would not give me anything for, so got some from the street. (It was before they started putting fen in everything.)
In the end I could see much better, so much better, it changed my life.
Still, I was too much a chicken to get the right one done, still blind in that eye.
He did it pro-bono, I think cause once I got dizzy and fell in his office after a visit.
Was walking out of the exam room and poof, passed right out. I didn't sue him lol.
I guess I don't like Doctor's poking around my eyeball.
And Happy B-Day!![]()
Hey, how long did it take you to see right again? Its been close to 3 weeks now and she still can't see very well. No way she could drive now and she could before the operation.
Man, that's a long time ago and I can't remember shit any more, so I asked my wife and she said about 3 month's.Hey, how long did it take you to see right again? Its been close to 3 weeks now and she still can't see very well. No way she could drive now and she could before the operation.
Thanks. I guess 3 weeks is still early then. DR appointment Thursday to look at it. She had the eye patch on for a week then only at night now nothing.I have to give her drops in her eye's 4 times a day. She said for life??? do you take eye drops 4 times a day?Man, that's a long time ago and I can't remember shit any more, so I asked my wife and she said about 3 month's.
Sounds about right, I know I had to wear an eye patch, like a pirate, for a few weeks.
Then I could finally get glasses, before I could not, cause my eyes were so far off, in opposite directions.
No not for life, I don't use any drops at all but dry eye drops once in a while.Thanks. I guess 3 weeks is still early then. DR appointment Thursday to look at it. She had the eye patch on for a week then only at night now nothing.I have to give her drops in her eye's 4 times a day. She said for life??? do you take eye drops 4 times a day?
My wife had a cornea transplant and they said she'll need drops in her eyes for ever. At least that's what my wife has interpreted what they said. 2 different drops in the transplant eye and 2 different ones in her other eye. The transplant cornea gets a milky one first that stings her eye then 5 min later a clear one. Her good eye gets a clear drop through the day and a gooey pasty one at night????? I know not I just squirt the juice in when its needed. No not for life, I don't use any drops at all but dry eye drops once in a while.
I worried like that too but looking back now it was easy peezy, except for the pain I had and that darn patch I had to wear.
Pain went away after a few days and after awhile, not sure how long that was, I could see much better, I was pretty blind at that point in my life so I was
very happy with my results. Still needed glasses and was happy I could finally get them. After I got them my sight improved so much
I actually got a permit to drive but never took the driving test lol. Wifey did not like my driving skills, after not driving for a couple of decades.

Edit : I think my numbers are off, my dates don't work right in my log. Surprise surprise, I have pics saying Aug 5 at 14 days old July 29th wasn't 14 days earlier. That makes July 20th as ground breaking day, adding 9 more days to their growing turning them 54 days old from breaking ground & 33 days old at flip. Its no wonder I'm having issues growing I can't seem to keep sht straight any longer. Maybe since my head whack? Old age? too much pot? or 1/3 of each?Sept 10
last week I added my nutes to my res and after adding I noticed some skim I had churned up so I scooped it out with a strainer through the day as more kept floating up...????...fk it I dumped my res into my mixing pot about 5 gal left and sure as sht there were floaters throughout my mix even after going through a strainer. Something didn't mix right. So I dumped all 5 gal and cleaned everything, then added 9 gal back into to my res and everything is still clear. I have no idea why it went off, I don't normally / ever get those floaters through my mix, temp is good...I don't know why but I don't want it to continue. Its been 2 days now and alls good so wtf?
My plants look good for what looks like 3 weeks into flower with 1 very short Alaska Thunderfuck but the rest have stretch nicely, specially for their age. They broke ground July 29, flipped by accident Aug 19. That 45 day old photo's looking like 3 weeks into flower, that beats some auto's to flowering.

I hate to chuckle man but this getting old sucks, all the things we took for granted eh?...Dr appointment's meds, new prescriptions, eat something first, don't have within 30 min of a milk product, rules and sht man. Don't eat grapefruit and go outside I can go on but how the fk am I supposed to remember all the rules? We have a pill for that just don't eat pizza....lolYa I remember those milky white drops and the other one too.
But only for a while, some months I think then the other clear one for longer period of time then only the milky one if I feel discomfort or irritation or redness infection.
Now nothing goes into my eyes except for dry eye drops.
I only got the cornea transplant on my left eye but had my glucoma done on both eyes and he replaced something else,
a lense or something on both eyes when he did the glucoma.
I know what you mean, I'm trying to fight it, but it's inevitable.I hate to chuckle man but this getting old sucks, all the things we took for granted eh?...Dr appointment's meds, new prescriptions, eat something first, don't have within 30 min of a milk product, rules and sht man. My shoulders started aching this summer and are getting worse by the day. I was active in sports up to mid 40's and then still golfed through my 50's. I played men soft ball until mid 30's as a catcher and threw the ball hard until then. My right shoulder now aches from all that, along with hockey up until i was 45, shoulder hits and what have you have taken a toll. Then there's the thousands of miles cycling and 10.s of thousands of miles on motor cycles that I had accidents with all of them....ya I got me some aches and pains...lol.....no patches though.....tell me more I need some relief at night. What patches can I ask my Dr for when the time comes?I know what you mean, I'm trying to fight it, but it's inevitable.
Idk i waited till my 40s to get super active, but I'm trying to push it off a few years. I'm so anti medicine idk what I'm going to do when getting high doesn't do the trick anymore.
Right now I'm going through pain patches on my shoulder like candy... Just need one of them good massages from to get some serious knots out the size of golf balls.
Plants look great man!

Have you ever flown into a crowd of people on your bike with cleat's locked in? Funny as fk watching us fall over like cartoon characters. I loved cleat's for going up hills but unlocking them fast wasn't an option when I rode and I teetered over a few times when I couldn't get my feet outOh i just have OTC stuff, icy hot or salonpas
Yeah my shoulder is getting me from cycling i think
Just went on a short jaunt this morning, first ride on new Shimano ultegra clip pedals, need to do some adjustments i see, they have adjustable clip release stiffness, and then maybe turn my cleats a little too to be better aligned with my feet
You definitely were more active than I ever was!! Sucks how the shit that keeps you healthy causes aches later in life, ironic
So far i only fell once, the very first time i tried them on in the parking lot when i got the bike lol, it was like a cartoon, standing still then plop lolHave you ever flown into a crowd of people on your bike with cleat's locked in? Well, now that you mentioned all this, I had a fall for the first time, on my bike, loaded up with 24 cans of cat food from the $ store. So far i only fell once, the very first time i tried them on in the parking lot when i got the bike lol, it was like a cartoon, standing still then plop lol
I always get ready before a red light, and so far no issues. These new ones are even tighter than the last ones, which makes sense they were really old.
So far i really like the lock in, but it is definitely a very weird feeling at first, especially the feeling of using muscles on the up stroke.
You're right they are super helpful for extra power going up hill
Sorry man about the fall!!Well, now that you mentioned all this, I had a fall for the first time, on my bike, loaded up with 24 cans of cat food from the $ store.
It's cheaper there than online (Purina 9 lives $1.50). Put them all in a cloth bag and bungied them in my bike rack, nice and tight.
Now when I take off on my bike, it's hard to wrap my leg around that rack, espesially when it's piled high with stuff.
So I put my left foot on the pedal and twist the throtle to get her goin' then like a cowboy on a horse, I bring my right leg over
the top and away I go, yippee ki yay.
I am very saftey conscious, but this time, I forgot to look to my left for cars coming out of the parking lot, before I took off.
So my head said "you better look" sooo I did and just at that moment, as I was in motion, the load shifted!
Down I went! Crash into the pavement and I went into rolling mode (like when I was a kid and learned to roll when jumping off garage roof's)
My hip hit hardest and left a huge bruise but I got up embarrassed as hell and proceeded to shake it off, fixed the load and rack and
took off home. Today is the second day and still sore and bruised but wiiser and won't look over my left shoulder while taking off.
I'll do it before my lil cowboy take off lol.
PS; I just put iced tea in my morning coffee instead of half n half.
You painted a perfect picture, I can see it being done......gotta have that stuff on video...maybe $ store has a camera...lol...it'll take a week or two to heal up if it was a bounce off the pavement...ouch, no head whack hey? Do you wear a helmet?Well, now that you mentioned all this, I had a fall for the first time, on my bike, loaded up with 24 cans of cat food from the $ store.

I roll with the punches, but somehow my bikes weight made the fall more awkward and my hip hit first. I was not a helmet fan either but it is a law here. Good thing cause I'm pretty sure I'd be dead, that whack on my temple would have cracked my brain, there's no doubt about it that helmet saved my life.I roll with the punches, but somehow my bikes weight made the fall more awkward and my hip hit first. I never liked wearing a helmet on my Harley, but was forced to by law.
I never wore one as a kid, I tried to wear one, but it’s not gonna happen.
So no, I don’t wear a helmet and probably never will, just me. I do wear fingerless gloves though, and that save my hand from some serious road rash, it did catch my elbow though.
My wife used to work there and is friends with the manager. I’ll ask her to see if she can get video of that catastrophe.

As long as it stays on as you fall /if you fall. Mine is a lot like this without the ball cap front. I hit right under the emblem this helmet has. I have a small hole where a sharp rock pierced the plastic to remind me. It has a tightening liner I can adjust to fit securelyYa I understand but I can't stand them lol
But I was looking at them and might buy a Bump Cap and try that out.

This one is the Green Devil universal bump cap insert for baseball caps, cause I'm always wearing that type hat anyway.
Cause all the helmets I've tried on at walmat really suk.
They erase the film every 24 hrs and don't have an outside cam, Nuts!

It looks like I'm around week 4 in flower. 1 of my Alaska Thunderfuck had to be bent over. it reached my lights 2 days ago. I just bent down at about 1 ft from the top and within a few hrs she was pointing back up.
Before I knew I had mistakenly flipped these I topped a Grape Skunk probably 1 week into flower and its developing a nice pair of twin buds on top.
Today I turned on my green light along with the rest....why you ask??? ...good question. I'll see if I can notice any changes over the next week or 2. Its supposed to enhance the other spectrum's what ever that supposed to mean.

Hey, I've been thinking on making pipes again. I have an idea to use acrylic pen blanks as mouth pieces. I just have to get at it. I'm really not doing much these days, playing with our boys, taking them for walks or just sitting with them while they're on the line outside. As the weather turns I'll get at it, I hope......Winter days or through long rain spells.Hey Pipe, you going to do anymore wood working? Miss seeing your pipe and pen creations. I know dust and grow space concerns stopped you for a bit but it’s been a while since then.
I finally saved up enough to get a tumbler. Couldn’t find a good size can to make a drum for a DIY one. Screens were pricey too. I found a bubble magic 150g for $380, no tax either, which beats the $799 sticker price.
It’s supposed to be new but looks refurbished. Works well so I won’t be returning it at that price.
If I’d seen yours you posted above I might have checked it out first. You research it at all? Any good or bad reviews?
Ya you can bend them pretty easy up to weeks 3-4 in flower, after that the stems get too hard to pinch and bend easily. Its hard to believe these 3-4 week vegged plants can grow and stretch so much in flower I have to resort to bending her over. You shared some cool photos.
The bend to keep the ATF out of the light messes with my head. Sometimes I'm surprised at how resilient these plants can be. Other times, I'm dismayed at how delicate they are. I started messing around with training clips this Spring. For some branches, I was sure I would break something, but had no issues. Then, I'd have some that looked like they would be easy to train, that took major damage. It's taking me a bit to work all of that out.
It's going to be fun watching the twin buds develop side-by-side. I see more good photos of that one in our future.
Fun stuff!

I haven’t been motivated either…not for a while. I get seasonal depression starting every September which doesn’t help.Hey, I've been thinking on making pipes again. I was going to build one with Stoney’s directions but I couldn’t find a drum big enough. Sons not on garbage anymore at work so no source for industrial size food cans.I'd like to bite on the tumbler I posted about. Just $150+ tax. the only review I saw was a guy that used one maybe 10 times and the base had cracked & was no longer working.....Someone wrote of adding a few small rocks, marbles or coins in the drum while turning to agitate the weed better. The next version up on Amzon is like $999.00 or something like that which is a hard no..

I use the trim bin like that. Watch TV and shake as I go. Wife takes a turn too which is nice. Not sure if I’d ever make or buy larger sifting screen though. Glad I bought the tumbler even if I did have to save for it a while. They have sifting trays as well that I'd never thought about before, not sure I want to manually sift my sht though.
I bought 3 new 5 gal buckets yesterday my old ones are so dirty they're impossible to clean. I'm going to ice hash my hermied sht one of these days soon. I could probably make a tumbler, my only concern is having a motor that could turn the drum slow enough. I have some old motors from old band saws, and a scroll saw but they are single speed, too big and far to fast. I'm just making excuses, If I really wanted to make one I'd just buy the motor and build my own. Its not rocket science is it,I haven’t been motivated either…not for a while. Acrylic pipe stem sounds like a nice cheat. Save you time working other materials. Is it a health issue or heat safe?

I search for cheap solutions once in a while but with little success. The best price I’ve found for the Bubble Magic 150g tumbler is at my local store, $390CND. Next best is is $400 in Ajax.View attachment 114105
I was lucky and found a not-so-local store I can drive too where she won’t charge me tax for cash purchases. She ordered me the tumbler for $380 out the door. My limit was $200 but I couldn’t pass that up.

Before you buy a plastic one see if anyone’s made any 3D printed parts for the one you like. That way if it breaks you have options to fix it. I might be able to print you a part in a pinch.
Make sure you put any material you want to tumble in the freezer for an hour or longer first. Over night is my usual but I’ll put it back in for an hour or so and tumble again up to four times depending on the results. I do this even with the bubble bag and shake it over the trim bin catch tray. Not as good as the tumbler but got me through the first few years of growing okay.
Let's do it together bro, about to cut in a week and try my hand at ice hash in the next month i thinkI bought 3 new 5 gal buckets yesterday my old ones are so dirty they're impossible to clean. After writing this I started looking for variable speed controllers, wire mesh, bearings....Doable but the $150 tumbler would be cheaper....a good project if I was more energetic.
