I'm thinking my girls are close to 40 days into flower by the looks of them. My Alaska Thunderfuck is growing a nice top bed even after I bent her at 90* to keep off the light and she's bend her way back up to it. I'm really liking the looks of the Grape skunk, Thanks for them OLDCRO. I knew the last time when I fked them up they were something I needed to run properly. These 2 look great, nice plump lowers and a twin top on 1.Sept 27 ATF.JPGSept 27 Grape skunk twins.JPGSept 27 group.JPGSept 27 Grape skunk.JPG

I did a bit of clean up in my shop today and was cleaning up the left over bubble hash mash still in a 5 gal bucket and I dumped the bucket into a bag of trash. It looks like germination was a success....lol...Sept 27 sprouts.JPG

I tossed my sprouts in the back yard and covered them with some used promix. We had a frost last night I threw a plastic sheet over them last night and they were looking rough this am. I'll update if they improve.

I've my reds on now for 15 min at lights out. They may have stretch a bit more since turning them on but not too much.

I have my fridge and fan running. My timer only allows 1 min intervals I have it on for 1 min every 30. I intend on grinding up my hash tomorrow now that I have a place to dry properly.

I first noticed some leave damage on 1 of my grape skunk then I noticed nanners, stress = nanners. I think its over fed. I can't adjust in the autopots but its either under or over fed, too close to the lights or inherent in the strain. If I have more seeds Oct 3 fridge.JPGOct 3 Grape skunk twins.JPGOct 3 reds on crop.JPGI 'll try less bloom nutes because she was doing fine until I upped them

Really hope the fridge does it for you. The boxes fit perfectly, nice.

Too bad about the nanners, they look good though.

Hey, it should do fine. I'll need to lock down the temp by adjusting the 1-7 dial but but the humidity in it looks good. I had it at 35% yesterday and it looks like it will hold there. That was my main concern, nowhere in my house can I reach 35% or 55f.......The 12v timer showed up yesterday but its internal battery is dead so I can't program it. I also noticed its only a 1 min timer...no seconds to play with. Well fk I have 2 of those as is. I thought I was ordering one I could use 15 secs on 5 min off ( example). So its going back and I'll order another. This time I'll get one I can use seconds timing. I have it set on another timer now at 1 min on 30 min off but 1 min on is more than I need to stir the air.

I hope to get at the hash grinding later today, I'll take pics of my progress.

I was out on my bike yesterday and I didn't fall off...not even once. Had a couple hairy moments with traffic crossing a highway, there's a spot where traffic can come from 6 places as I need to cross the highway and I won't go until its clear but some folks want to stop and let me go....and they're on a highway or side road with other traffic still moving....... fk that too much confusion......when everyone is gone I'll go I'm in no hurry .....don't stop on the fkin highway to let me cross. Even waving them on doesn't work.....Go mtherfker go...don't stop and create confusion I'll wait. I have to get down to the road to see traffic so I can't stay back off the road and wait until it clears. Drivers trying to be nice are going to get me whacked by a car that doesn't see me as they enter the road at speed.

Nice weather though, cool morning but nice sunny days and as I look ahead at the forecasts there's lots of nice weather ahead of us as well.....Good thing....there's a long winter coming.

i think i'm trying this tomorrow,
I'd watched all the video's, I got all the equipment needed, I put on my latex gloves and ground down the hash until I saw blue latex bits getting shredded into the hash.....all stop...pick out blue bits, toss gloves into the trash and used my fingers from there on in........Don't smoke the blue bits....lol

Wife got off early so will have to postpone for another weekend when she works, today is her birthday, last thing she wants is to smell weed everywhere, birthday or not lol

Always wanted to do this my self too.

Just never got around to buying the tools for it, yet anyhow.
Nice pc
I think I'd look into dry sifting. The bubble bags work but the dry parameters are hard to reach without an extra fridge. Recommended drying 55f @ 35% for up to 10 days????? Then roll up into a Temple ball, wrap in plastic wrap and cure for 3-6 months?????........lol That's a lot of work and patients for a little smoke. I'll be making up 2 balls 1 I'll let cure but 1 is going to be getting smoked.

You need to find a cheap tumbler. Even a manual one you can later hook up to a motor. And/or put inside a tote to collect more.

I had trouble finding a large metal can to use as a drum. I was looking at around $200 to make one. I’d been saving off/on for a while. Getting it half price with no tax made me jump on it.

I found one that’s a prototype on Makerworld that looks a lot like the one I bought. It’s a work in progress but has promise.

7 weeks today in flower is how I have these on my calendar. Looks about right, 4 more to go but the grape skunk maybe a bit earlier. I'm feeding 5/4/4/8/..1/4tsp KB dry. 4/1 cal/mag-Micro-Grow-Bloom-KBd-Diamond Nectar-Hyclean ml/gal.

I took scissors to my top bud and a few others to cut out some nanners in the Grape Skunk. Stress related I believe I could see leaf damage before I saw nanners. With the Autopots its not possible to adjust the feed to just 1 plant and it may have needed more TLC than I gave her. None the less there were only a few and after my run of seeded shit only a couple seeds would be a relief.

I dropped 6 seeds in water this am, 2 Blackberry Kush, 2 either Biscotti Skunk or Quebec Blue from QCseeds and 2 Strawberry Purps from OLDCRO, Thanks man

I've been chipping at my hash, I think 1 more day and I'm going to roll it up. It smokes very well and gave me that morning buzz this afternoon....nice. Tastes like hash, burns like hash gives the buzz like hash....I think I gots me some hash...lolOct 3 AlaskaTF 7weeks.JPGOct 3 Grape Skunk 1.JPGOct 3 grape Skunk 2.JPGOct 3 Grape skunk Twins A.JPGOct 3 Group 7 weeks.JPGOct 3 Zamalda Dreams.JPG

Thanks, can you spot the nanners in pic 2 Grape Skunk? As soon as I posted the pic I saw them and took my scissors to cut them out. My eyes don't see them all but in pics they jump out at me. I have 4 Zamelda Dreams growing 1 is different than the others. more yellow in her color and different hairs, close but just a subtle difference in looks. No seeds...lol...so far so good.

I picked up Turkey bags yesterday if the hash is dry enough today I'll roll her up....after a smoke or 2 of it.....lol

The Canada Post walkout sounds like it’s over. They are going to a rolling strike now. I’m going to wait longer, maybe EOM, then I’ll mail you the plastic garden cats. I’m more worried they will get damaged than lost.

I rolled up a Temple ball from my first batch.I had some issues getting the water hot enough. I have a heating element I bought years ago that has a shut off so it heats for a while gets too hot and shuts down then cools a bit and reheats. It took me an hour before I realized its never going to get hot enough the way I had it so I dumped 90% of the water out and heated just enough water to fill one bottle. I sealed the lid as my pot can be a pressure cooker and turned it into a bomb then turned it back on after about 5 min I could hear a pinging of the pot so I shut it off and released the steam then poured 207f water into my bottle.

Even that didn't go without indecent, never thinking the funnel & water weight would seal the bottle not allowing the water to flow through without chugging in the funnel bowl. almost boiling hot water chugging up and onto my hands and legs. Fking yeow, no damage but wtf can't anything go right? I added a screw to the funnel and bottle top lip and poured in the water.

The rolling went pretty well. I made 6-7 roll overs and refolds then rolled it out until flat. After the first flip the hash stuck to itself pretty well and it was easy to dab up missed pieces off the Turkey bag. The first roll was a bit of a pain I should have contained my mass of hash better before I rolled it out. I still have 2 boxes of drying hash to deal with. Maybe todayOct 7 dried hash.JPGOct 7 flat hash.JPGOct 7 Temple ball1.JPGOct 7 pot & heater.JPG

Hey thanks but wait until they get rolling again, giver a week and see how they operate. Disgruntled employees don't work well with others. We don't want them going Postal on your package...lol

Use parchment paper. Roll’s great unless real wet. That temple ball looks nice…never had/made one.

IIRC Bandits HBF1 was a great one for hash, and that was dry just trimming in the trim bin. You ever get around to the seeds I sent ya that’s one to try first.

That’s why I said EOM, it’s End Of Month.

But before the Christmas rush. I don’t want someone thinking it’s a nice Xmas gift either. 🤣

I just thought it would be cool for their okay yard or the front pots in the tent. One to represent each of your boys.

If I’d gotten real fancy I’d have had my son put each one’s name on the stem you push in the earth. 😂

I printed two before he noticed so he had to let me finish the third. 😝

I killed some 2 grows back trying to germinate in too cold of conditions, Since then I haven't run any regs. Too late this run and next i'm hoping to do some of the red beards I ordered. I'll get to them but it may take me a while longer. I have to do that when i have 6 autopots available, then I can split the pots and grow out reg seeds. I just rolled another ball up and I'm smoking some of the powdered stuff from pizza box 3. I'm thinking 2 balls is enough I'll chip away at the 3rd pizza box by the pipe load

I had to turn the heat on early this morning. Humidity was too high and the temperature too low. I soak the soft pots before I put seeds in and then leave them until dry. Seems to work fine for me unless it gets too cold. That warm week we had made me think I still had time.

Ya I can see them in the loose pile and the rolled. Start picking it out with tweezers, won’t take too long and better than smoking rubber, even if it is medical grade. 😝

My question is; how did you grind off so much of the glove without noticing or hurting your fingers? That’s not just one or two slips of the file.

Ya, I'm going to roll out the temple ball again put on my double strength glasses use a magnifier and remove the pieces. It looks like a lot but it was just a swipe or 2 across the microplaner before I realized what I'd done. I pulled out the pieces I could see, I thought I got them all, obviously not......I'll fix today....I don't want to be barfing on plastic bits.

I've been playing with Google's Ai mode in searches using some minerals and other ingredients to see what fits best. My earlier soil mixes by Ai's view could be overlapping and create toxicity by adding my GH nutes, Trying to mix Organic and synthetic growing. So I'll adjusted my approach by not adding the added amendments at transplant. I'll go with just my soil and perlight I didn't have any issues but I'll re arranged my mix and see how it goes.

My Ai search and results

vegging cannabis in ABS Greenworld VPW30 with 15% added worm castings,1tbs/gal wollsonite, 1/8 tsp/gal yucca powder, 1tbs/gal gypsum, 15%added perlite. watering with 1 mil /litre rapid start when needed. Transplanting into autopots with air domes at 1 month old into ABS Greenworld VPW30 with added 30% perlite then switching to General hydroponics Micro, Grow, Bloom, cal/mag, Diamond Nectar, Koolbloom and hyclean to help with salts

Based on your planned feeding schedule, here is a detailed breakdown of your cannabis grow, including potential benefits and considerations for each stage
.
Stage 1: Seedling and vegetative growth in amended soil
Your initial approach of using amended soil and a light nutrient solution is a solid strategy for healthy vegetative growth.
Soil mix:
ABS Greenworld VPW30: A peat-based mix with added perlite for high porosity and good aeration.
15% worm castings: Provides beneficial microbes and a wide range of nutrients in a slow-release form, enhancing overall soil life and nutrient uptake.
1 tbs/gal wollastonite: This calcium silicate mineral can strengthen plant cell walls, offer pest resistance, and help balance pH. However, as a rock mineral, it can take time to break down, so its effects may not be immediate.
1/8 tsp/gal yucca powder: Acts as a natural wetting agent (surfactant), helping water and nutrients penetrate the soil more evenly. This prevents dry spots and improves the efficiency of your watering. It also helps flush out excess salts and can mitigate drought stress.
1 tbs/gal gypsum: A source of calcium and sulfur that can improve soil structure and help plants better absorb water. It also helps manage potential salt buildup from the rapid start.
15% perlite: Provides increased drainage and aeration to the root zone, which is critical for healthy root development and preventing waterlogged conditions.

Feeding:

1 ml/litre Rapid Start: This is an excellent choice for the vegetative stage. As a root stimulant, it helps seedlings and young plants develop strong, healthy root systems, which is the foundation for a vigorous plant.
Watering "when needed": This is the correct approach for manual watering. You should allow the soil to dry out somewhat between waterings to ensure the roots get plenty of oxygen.

Stage 2: Transplanting and switching to autopots
The transition to autopots at one month old is a good time to move plants to their permanent home, and your nutrient plan is well-suited for this system.
Autopot setup:

30% perlite in ABS Greenworld VPW30: Your use of a lighter, fluffier mix with additional perlite (30% total) is highly recommended for autopot systems. This allows for better capillary action and aeration around the roots, which is crucial for bottom-feeding systems.
Air domes: These will provide critical oxygen directly to the root zone, which is especially beneficial when using a constant feed system like autopots. This can lead to more aggressive root growth and higher yields.
Activation: Wait 1–2 weeks after transplanting before turning on the air domes to give the plant time to establish in its new pot. Run the air domes during the light cycle.

Nutrient plan:

General Hydroponics FloraSeries (Micro, Grow, Bloom): This is a popular and effective 3-part nutrient system for cannabis. Follow a grower-recommended feed chart for autopots, which often requires lower PPMs than for hand-fed plants.
Cal/Mag: Essential for plants grown with filtered or reverse osmosis (RO) water. Even with tap water, using a Cal/Mag supplement can prevent deficiencies, which are common in autopot systems.
Diamond Nectar: A humic acid supplement that enhances nutrient uptake and transport. It can be particularly useful in a recirculating or constant-feed system to ensure efficient use of your added nutrients.
KoolBloom: A bloom booster with higher phosphorus and potassium. Use this during the flowering stage as directed to encourage dense, healthy flower development.
Hyclean: This is likely a reference to a flush product, which is a good idea when dealing with high-salt nutrients. This will help prevent mineral buildup in your system and media. Regular flushing or use of a preventative like Hyclean is crucial for long-term health in autopot systems.

Key takeaways and recommendations

PPM Monitoring: Get a reliable TDS/PPM meter to monitor your nutrient solution, especially when transitioning to the General Hydroponics line. Many experienced growers suggest starting with a lower PPM than bottle recommendations, especially for the constant feed of autopots.
pH Management: While autopots can be forgiving with pH drift, monitor the pH of your reservoir and ensure it stays within the correct range for cannabis (around 5.8–6.4).
Salt Management: The combination of gypsum, yucca powder, and a dedicated flush product like Hyclean should effectively manage salt buildup in your system.
Transition Period: Allow for a short transition period after transplanting before you activate the autopots and air domes. Manually top-feed lightly for the first week or two to let the plant acclimate and develop its root system.

I chat with my browsers built in one too. Compare it to other sources before I act on any advice though.

I use it for a wall to bounce ideas off of. Thinking out loud and getting answers. Lol

Helps with scaling thing up or down quickly too. Otherwise, as you found out, you can get crossover.

I just found it and started using it only about a week ago. I'd not seen the Ai button at the top left on my browser. I tried it with Azomite and Wollsonite and I got toxicity & lockout results with too much calcium initially then I started tweaking the questions and adding or removing items. It did give me false mixing instructions on one query though telling me to add Cal/mag after Micro,Grow,Bloom so its not always 100% accurate. Still awesome to use, I can see using it more and more specially with growing weed and trying new shit, I can run it through the think tank before stressing my plants unnecessarily.

Duckduckgo browser just added their anonymous AI interface this year, I don’t recall when. You can pick from a menu which AI it talks to for you. It’s gotten better over the months. Less errors. I’ll keep mucking with it as long as it’s anonymous.

I like Duckduckgo for its Canada button. When I'm looking for shit up here I get all usa sites with .com but the Canada button gives me the .ca results first. It doesn't give me movies in a format I like ...like google does. I often type in action/Scifi/Adventure or Historic movies 20?? -2025 to see if there's anything we want to watch. Once I find a movie we want to watch I go to a site I use and search for it. 99% of the time the movies are available. I have their browser too but rarely use it. its Chrome based and doesn't have the adblockers & popup blockers I use, I really only use it to check web sites that don't work well with firefox to see if its my blockers that are causing the problem.
