so i'm getting tempted to put the cuttings i took in the RDWC.. i just don't know the strain.. i think, and i think maybe sour tangie...



for some reason the others are behind quite a bit and are just starting.. we'll see how this all plays out here.. i do have some options though.

Do you dip your cuttings in any rooting gel? I don’t recall…

I dip mine in the gel even if I put them in water. I like to think it helps speed things up but I’ve never done a side by side.

no, knowing my bad luck i was always afraid it would wash off and mess up my pump somehow.. i have some old gel haven't used it in years.

right now i have a couple capfuls of this in there.. i forgot the check the ph or temps or anything..

that little cloner is about as bulletproof as rapid rooters! sometimes it takes a while but i always get roots.

I’ve had great luck with my coffee can and the new neoprene pucks are the perfect finish. I don’t add anything. Just change the tap water once a week.

I dip all my clones in this gel. One’s i put in soil also get the pink dry powder put on and occasionally I add that to the soil.



I’ve never even thought to check the PH or PPM of my clone water.

IIRC it’s always near PH 6 & 150PPM. I’ll have to check that next time, if only out of curiosity.

yes sir, i normally take the hydro water right from the outside tank valve and the soil water normally sits in the big blue barrel. i only do this because the barrel is small and the hydro sucks up half if it and i only use gravity to fill so it takes longer. right from the valve fills it in minutes.
1psi for every two foot of elevation.

i get what you're saying and thanks for tearing off the bandaid. i really was hoping they would just snap out of it and started growing like nothing happened. at first of reading that it made me sad, like no not another failed grow... but after reading this and accepting it today i understand.

Sorry man was not meant to be discouraging. Just explaining from my point of view we will never have all the answers. We have an incomplete data set. So you do the best you can.

I built my tents out to try to eliminate variables. I don’t deal with temps or rh or whatever out of “spec” because I have control thru hardware. But even then we can debate exactly what the specs should be!

When we get into this mode we tend to start picking fly shit out of pepper and looking at every little thing. But wtf Mother Nature doesn’t baby plants like we do. Plants live thru hurricanes for fucks sake. At least the strong ones do.

Ultimately my opinion is you got off to a bad start like the seedling that should come up in April got a weird warm snap in February and came up early then barely lived thru the cold for a month. Now you are trying to play catch up with a lack of foundation.

But as I said we don’t know for sure and never will. We have guesses at this point. Figure out the weakness that makes the most sense to you and don’t do that again.

Does that mean you are scrapping one plant and replacing with the clone? That would be interesting. Be som shit if the clone overtook the other plant!
